MsGijane

RNH MAG: Explain what your name means?

RNH MAG: What city and state are you representing?

Detroit, Mi born and raised.

RNH MAG: Describe your style of singing or rapping?

MY STYLE OF RAPPING is VERSATILE. I don’t follow trends I always go outside of the box. I love experimenting with new music. I like to keep people anticipating on the next song. I do like sampling music. Blends of old school with whatever I feel sounds good to me. Gangster rap is my original genre being from Detroit we still glorify trap music.

RNH MAG: Who inspired you to pursue a music career?

The music industry in general as a whole inspired me I just love music.

RNH MAG: What challenges did you face as a youth in pursuit of your music dream?

This is a long story!!!! So many challenges! Only the people that really know me knew I had talent. I didn’t tell a lot of people because when I use to tell people they would treat me different. Another day I’ll break this down. Thinking about a book….soooo

RNH MAG: Describe your feelings when you’re recording music in the studio?

Im bipolar I have schizophrenia, multiple personality disorder, and A.D.D. Thats what I diagnosed myself with so whatever mood I’m in the music just put me in a zone. Once I’m in that zone I could make a good track. I let the beat move me I can vision the story in my head. So yeah I’m crazy person!!! Funny! Yeah true!

RNH MAG: What is the message behind your music?

Think like a Nigga is really me being a young lady in the streets thinking like a nigga in the streets. I done a lot of the things I rap about thoughout my teen years. I slowed down because I didn’t want to become a product of my environment. I feel if I tell my story then put a twist to gangsta rap. I could show that no matter what you have been through you can change and become better a person. I still like gangsta rap because it do tell whats really going on around the world. People feel that there is no hope so they are going to sell dope. Funny! But I’m being real! I’m working on new music as well.

RNH MAG: What do you fear the most in this business?

I don’t fear anything because I know business is business no business is easy. I know that this business is just like any other business it’s what you make it. Surround myself around the people I feel I can relate to. I like meeting new people its about respect. Treat people how you want to be treated.
