A: Trippie $ac
Q: Describe your style of Music?
A: New age rap. Futuristic, Trap kind of sound. It changes and varies though.
Q: Explain what your name means?
A: “Trippie $ac” is a phrase my friends and I used to say all the time when we would trip, but couldn’t fully say “I’m tripping sack.” Then, outside of that, it just became a phrase to describe a mood of when something weird happens. We’d look at each other when something interesting would happen that you wouldn’t believe was real life and just say “trippie sac.”
Q: What city and state are you representing?
A: Charleston, South Carolina
Q: Describe your style of singing or rapping?
A: It really varies depending how I’m feeling. Sometimes I can be lyrical, sometimes I’ll be just lit, or sometimes I’ll like to sing.
Q: Who inspired you to pursue a music career?
A: My high school choir director. Mr. William Bennett. He really resparked my love for music and ever since then, I knew I wanted to do something in music.
Q: What challenges did you face as a youth in pursuit of your music?
A: I was too worried what other people thought, but then I realized that my fans are going to like my music for me and when I started taking more artistic reign on my own projects, I started being more comfortable with myself and saw more growth as an artist and with my fans.
Q: Describe your feelings when you’re recording music in the studio?
A: Ecstatic. I love making music more than anything. Whether I’m laying down a beat or recording my vocals, just being in the studio with like minded people, vibing off each other’s energy, it’s just the best.
Q: What is the message behind your music?
A: To just do what you want and just be yourself. Not all of my songs will have a specific message but I always want to convey how I’m feeling whether I’m sad because it’s stressful to be an adult, or I’m feeling lit cause I love house parties.
Q: What do you fear the most in this business?
A: Honestly, losing some of my friends that I know won’t be able to catch up to me. In this business, you have to work hard and while a lot of my friends support me and love my vision, it’ll be hard knowing that the train is leaving whether or not they’re going to hop on.
Q: Are you excited to be featured in RNH Magazine?
A: Very. I love the whole idea behind the magazine and the cool interactive technology they utilize.
Q: How can people reach you on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook & etc?
A: I have a Twitter and Instagram. I have Facebook too but mainly just to talk to friends and family that are out of my city or country.
