Quando Rondo and NBA YoungBoy teamed up last month to collaborate on a track and video titled “Give Me A Sign”, which received a positive reception worldwide. On Tuesday (Nov. 22), Quando Rondo and NBA YoungBoy decided to circle back and provide fans with another collaboration, entitled “It’s On.” This brand-new track is the latest offering from their highly anticipated 3860 joint project, which is expected to be out in the next few weeks. In the beginning of the song, Rondo comes in hot with his opening lyrics that set the tone for the whole song:
It has been reported that during the course of 2022, Quando Rondo was treating fans to plenty of free drops, including “Dead Wrong,” “Jakiyah,” “War Baby,” and “24,” all of which were dedicated to the late Kobe Bryant, the legendary basketball player.
In related news, YoungBoy released a statement a few weeks ago informing the public that he had signed a record deal with Motown Records. As part of his contract with Atlantic Records, The Last Slimeto album was his last release under that label. In terms of chart placement, the album debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart, featuring Rod Wave, Kehlani, and Quavo. Furthermore, there was an impressive line-up of standout singles on The Last Slimeto as well, including “Mr. Grim Reaper,” “I Got The Bag,” and “I Hate YoungBoy.”
It is with much excitement that NBA YoungBoy returns today (Nov. 22) with another loose track and video titled “Hi Hater.” There is something upbeat about “Hi Hater” with its guitar rhythm and upbeat beat that fills the recording room in which NBA YoungBoy is recording his song. The accompanying visuals show off the stylish cars and jewels that the Baton Rouge rapper drives around, but it is also through the visual that he conveys a message to all of the haters in the world:
In light of the musician’s recent announcement, Motown Records announced a new deal a couple of weeks ago. With the release of The Last Slimeto in August, NBA YoungBoy marked his final release on Atlantic Records, following the closing of his previous label. There were several guest appearances on that project, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart, including Kehlani, Rod Wave, and Quavo. The Last Slimeto was also a significant album in terms of the number of standout singles, including “Mr. Grim Reaper,” “I Hate YoungBoy,” and “I Got The Bag.”
Last month, Gangsta Grillz’s rapper Made No Sense released Ma’ I Got A Family in collaboration with DJ Drama, which culminated a 19-track mixtape he dropped earlier in the year. The brand-new project not only features 19 tracks, but Nicki Minaj and Yeat have also contributed two additional features to the project in addition to the 19 tracks. Besides the songs he released himself, YoungBoy has also been featured on a number of songs lately, including “Flags To The Sky” created with NoCap, and “To The Bone” recorded with Takeoff and Quavo, more.
With all the loose drops that Quando Rondo has been dropping throughout the entire year of 2022, some of his favorites have been “Jakiyah,” “24,” and “War Baby,” one of which pays homage to one of basketball’s biggest legends, Kobe Bryant, who passed away recently. It will be no surprise to hear that he keeps his momentum on track with his latest track and video featuring NBA YoungBoy called “Give Me a Sign”, which is a brand new track that talks about trusting in the process. As part of the song, the “Bad Vibe” rapper kicks things off by rapping over the beat created by Bankroll Got It and SephGotTheWaves:
Rondo expressed some optimistic insights into the world in an interview earlier this month regarding where he believes his career is heading despite the hardships he has faced. It is now my turn to demonstrate my abilities to the world. He stated, “I am still determined to do well.” “I will get through all of this nonsense.” I am confident that I will succeed. The majority of people are not able to jump the gate. As a matter of fact, I am. Let yourself be absorbed in the moment and watch. It’s my turn.”
It was announced earlier this week that NBA YoungBoy has officially signed a deal with Motown Records, according to a press release from the company. Even though the specifics of the contract have not yet been revealed, sources told Variety that the deal was highly competitive and that “the final agreement was also very competitive.”
Announcing his long-awaited album The Last Slimeto, NBA YoungBoy recently released the project, which contains 30 songs and features from Rod Wave, Kehlani, and Quavo. There were a number of standout singles on the project, including “Mr. Grim Reaper,” “I Got The Bag,” and “I Hate YoungBoy.” The album has been accompanied by a steady stream of visually enhanced visuals, including “Digital,” “She Want Chanel,” “I Know,” and others.
In addition to this, YoungBoy has just released his most recent video, the official video for the song “Proof.” Featuring visuals that depict YoungBoy embracing elements such as lightning, fire, and more, the video demonstrates his hard-hitting flow:
With the release of The Last Slimeto, Slimeto follows his January mixtape Colors, which featured 19 songs and a single assist from Quando Rondo. As well as his solo endeavors, YoungBoy has recently joined forces with DaBaby for the album Better Than You, which featured the hit singles “Neighborhood Superstar” and “Bestie.” YoungBoy’s latest album, Sincerely, Kentrell, reached number one on the Billboard 200 and earned him his fourth number one position with 137,000 album equivalent units sold in its first week of release.
It was announced, back in April, that NBA YoungBoy had released The Last Slimeto Sampler, an 11-song mixtape that served as a preview to YoungBoy’s final album for Atlantic Records. It was as a result of that release that Haze, Hurtboy AG, Hzrd, Zuus and Jason Goldberg contributed to the song, “Loner Life,” in which the Baton Rouge star discusses being alone as a downside of his success:
YoungBoy releases the video for “Loner Life,” a song that mostly portrays him smoking in the woods by himself. He is also seen looking over the balcony of some unknown building and riding a motorcycle to an unknown destination.
In releasing The Last Slimeto, Slimeto will follow January’s Colors, a commercial mixtape that featured 19 songs and 20 tracks if you include the deluxe edition, with one assist from Quando Rondo. He revealed the upcoming album was compiled by his engineer Jason “Cheese” Goldberg and is expected to feature tracks such as “I Hate YoungBoy” and “I Got The Bag.” He prior to that released his third studio album Sincerely, Kentrell, a featureless album as a result of which YoungBoy received his fourth number one on the Billboard 200 chart with 137,000 album equivalent units sold in its first week.
