AT TEXAS A&M, GEORGE FLOYD’S SISTER HELPS CREATE INTERNSHIP FOR BLACK MEN

While George Floyd is no longer among us, his legacy continues to live. He used to
play college basketball at Texas A&M, and now, the place will have an internship in
his honor.
His sister, Bridgett Floyd, as well as president of the George Floyd Memorial
Foundation, launched the ‘Be His Legacy’ internship in collaboration with Texas
A&M University at Commerce. This internship will be for two semesters and
particularly for Black male students to live and learn together in the university’s
African American Male Mentorship Program’s living learning community.
