Her viral hit “Escapism” dominated the charts, which is a song about the reality of spiraling into depression after a breakup, and which inspired many to write their own:
The song is entitled “My 21st Century Blues.”. “This is my first solo album that I will be working on,” Raye stated via a press release regarding the project. “ A mosaic is comprised of broken glass pieces that I have gathered from my life over the past seven years that have resulted in a simple, ugly, but beautiful creation. There can be no other medicine that can ease my anxieties, trauma, and unfiltered thoughts that come from this music. It is because of the music on this album that I was empowered to face my demons and have accompanied me throughout the darkest nights of my soul, crafted with unapologetic passion and without fear filled with love and tears.”
The “Black Mascara.” singer RAYE has not only released her own music on the market, but has also contributed her vocals to a variety of recent collaborations, including “I Don’t Want You” with Riton, “Midnight Strikes” with Amorphous, “You Can’t Change Me” with David Guetta, “Go Girl” with Miraa May, “WYS” with Tion Wayne, “Waterfall” with Disclosure, and others.
