Lil Wayne releases the original version of ‘Tha Carter V’
Everyone is aware that the career of Lil Wayne has been extremely exciting, starting from his tenure as a young Hot Boy and then transforming to become his best version of goatness, particularly with the amazing mixtape run and also his Tha Carter series. Undeniable, he is one of the greatest rappers that the country has witnessed.
In 2011, his 2x platinum album Tha Carter IV was released and since then, his fans have been vying for Tha Carter V. However, we couldn’t enjoy C5 until 2018, and he and Birdman were engaged in legal disputes. However, Wayne was forced to eliminate a few tracks from the album only to align with the current age in Hip Hop. He finally released the original version of Tha Carter V, and fans couldn’t be more delighted.
The album comes with 10 records and includes guest appearances from 2 Chainz, Gucci Mane, Post Malone, and the legendary Raekwon. As we are enjoying classic material from many of our favorite artists on various streaming services, Tunechi made his fans very happy by re-releasing his classic 2009 mixtape No Ceilings on streaming platforms.
Recently, Wayne’s manager and long-time friend Cortez Bryant revealed that he is working on ensuring that all of Weezy’s mixtapes can be heard on streaming platforms:
“Now with streaming, I think that we want to put out everything man, all the mixtapes,” he said. “We want everyone to hear [or have them] discover [his mixtapes]. At least that’s where everybody listens to music, so they’re not forced to go into their iTunes catalogs from back in the day of what they downloaded. We want to make sure it’s at their fingertips on streaming platforms.”
