Astroworld organizers expressed concern weeks before the festival

Speaking for the first time after the Astroworld incident Organizers of revealed they had complained about the event weeks before it went down.

According to the Houston Chronicle, Score more Shows was the promoter behind the festival. Regarding safety measures in place, Harris County officials confirmed their concerns if enough security and medical staff were available

Estimating a 50,000-person crowd and the organizers were expected to hire more help, but it’s unclear whether they did. Failing to broadcast safety messages during the event was also identified as another emergency response loophole.

According to a report by REVOLT, ten individuals passed away after being trampled during Scott’s festival last month. During the stampede, fans began rushing toward the front of the stage, where hundreds were injured and treated by emergency responders at the event.

Astonishing enough is also that at one point, medical staff had to treat 11 cardiac arrests at once.

During an interview with Rolling Stone, it became apparent that security measures in place at the event were questionable.

Confirming the security lapse was Darius Williams, hired to work security at Astroworld after revealing that he got the job with no experience. Hiring process for security was typically available to anyone who passed a background test.

Training the security team was also inadequate since completed both orientation and training were on the day before the festival According to Darius Williams, the security guards were not prepared or given instructions on dealing with the large crowd.

Confessing further, he said that he realized they were understaffed on the event day and pulled out of the gig for his safety. Managing the security team before and during the event could have helped prevent the tragedy.

During an interview with News Nation, another security guard, Jackson Bush, said that the tragic aftermath of the festival could have been avoided if the staff had been given proper training.
