With the help of certain soulful cuts over the last year, KIING has made some serious waves with songs such as “Disconnected,” “Gotta Work,” “CYL,” and “War 4 U.” As part of KIING’s ongoing commitment to change, the R&B collective recently dropped a new track titled “Mood” that was produced by Trey Livin and S3LIM and sees them sending messages to their respective loved ones.
“Mood” includes a video that can be viewed on the song’s official website, which captures the quartet showing off their dance moves in a studio. Additionally, the Ryan Malcolm-Campbell-directed video gives viewers a unique glimpse behind the scenes of the overall production, providing an overview of how it was put together and the supporting team who came alongside it.
The group, which includes members Berkley, Jax, Jade, and Asha, KIING (which stands for intelligence, kindness, notorious, independence, and greatness) originated with LaurieAnn Gibson, an iconic multi-talented artist. Furthermore, Gibson has choreographed performances for Alicia Keys, Beyoncé, and Michael Jackson, among others. However, she is best known for her work on the MTV show “Making The Band,” a show that was also known to have featured Sean “Diddy” Combs in the role of producer as well as launching the careers of Danity Kane, DaBand, and DAY26. In addition to his achievements, the Canadian-born trailblazer has also served as a judge on FOX “So You Think You Can Dance.”
