The new album by Young Thug is titled “Business Is Business”

In a surprise announcement today (June 23), Young Thug unveils his latest album, BUSINESS IS BUSINESS. On top of those 15 tracks, the album features more than a dozen other features, such as Drake, 21 Savage, Future, Travis Scott, Lil Uzi Vert, and more. Additionally, Metro Boomin has been credited with the role of executive producer on the project.

“Parade on Cleveland,” the project’s opening song, contains a phone conversation between Drake and the artist responsible for the hit single “Best Friend,” with the latter in high spirits throughout the call. “There’s nothing I’m doing, man; I’m just pushing more Peter, and I’m pushing it much sweeter, much better than any other Peter pusher around, so do you hear me, this is what I’m saying to my Canadian counterpart, you can’t hear me.\

This album lands on the scene during Thugger’s ongoing legal battle – a battle that stems from a RICO charge that Thugger and a handful of other members of the group Young Stoner Life (YSL) have been charged with. There have been some members of this group, including longtime collaborator Gunna, who have since been released following plea deals they made. As of last Friday (16 June), Gunna, who is known for all the words he uses to describe his music, has released his newest project titled A Gift & a Curse, where he provides his perspective on these issues.

While Young Thug has been back in jail for more than a year, he has remained on the radar from a musical perspective despite his time in prison. In the years before Young Thug was introduced to the world of BUSINESS IS BUSINESS, he appeared on popular songs such as Calvin Harris “Potion,” Lil Baby “Never Hating,” Killer Mike “RUN,” G Herbo “Breathe Slow,” Quavo and Takeoff “Chocolate,” and Rae Sremmurd “Royal Flush.” Accordingly, in July 2022, the Atlanta star sent an audio message to HOT 97 during the festival of Summer Jam on.

“I would just like to take this opportunity to thank all my friends and family for coming out and supporting us on this day,” he said. YSL and I are not the only ones affected by this. Throughout my career, I have used music to express myself artistically, and I now realize that Black artists and rappers are not allowed to do so. Everyone is kindly requested to sign the petition in support of Protect Black Art and to continue to pray for us. All of you are dear to me.”

Killer Mike released his long-awaited album, MICHAEL, today (June 16). The album is comprised of 14 songs and features contributions from 2 Chainz, Young Thug, Mozzy, Future, Ty Dolla $ign, André 3000, and more. It was a project that was driven by a number of well-received singles such as “TALK’N THAT S**T!,” “RUN,” “MOTHERLESS,” “SCIENTISTS & ENGINEERS,” and “DON’T LET THE DEVIL.” His social media accounts showed that the emotionally charged piece of music has been in the works for some time now.

“At the end of the two and a half years of hard work, and after continual effort to make sure this [diamond] was well polished, I am truly proud to present MICHAEL, a statement for a new generation” Killer Mike said. “Thank you for all the blessings that I have had the opportunity to witness over the past few years. Thank you, God.”

A video posted to the Run The Jewels Instagram account (above) further explained the significance of MICHAEL to an unidentified audience. “ I had been underrated. I was overlooked. I had been cast aside. There was no consideration for me. Despite the fact that he seemed to be holding back tears, Killer Mike disclosed that he felt undervalued. Moreover, it has been an incredibly long time since we were last in contact with each other. To get to where we are today, it has been a long, long journey. Thus, I have no idea what will happen next, but I know I will not cease to put one foot in front of another as long as I am aliveThe same thing should be done by you as well.”

“I would like you to download this record,” he continued. Despite the fact that it is for you, I would like you to live with it. As far as rap records are concerned, we are not referring to them here. I know that this is a gospel-influenced recording, but my man Harold told me that it truly embodies the blues.’ It seems that you are telling the story of the average working-class Black man, average American working citizen with dignity.”

As of today (June 16), Gunna released his fourth studio album, a Gift & Curse, which consists of fifteen songs including zero features and with production coming from artists including CuBeatz, 88Krazy, Fresh Ayr, EVRGRN, Ghetto Guitar, Mario Petersen, Omar Grand, Swiff D, LNK, Pooh Beatz, and more. Various producers, such as Turbo, Omar Grand, and Cam Griffin, contributed to the production of the surprise album, which came with a single titled “bread & butter,” which was a response to those who have ostracized him since Gunna was released from prison to great acclaim.

It featured 20 songs and collaborations with Future, 21 Savage, Young Thug, Chris Brown, Drake, Chlöe, Lil Baby, G Herbo, Kodak Black, Roddy Ricch, and more. There is something special about this project, as this is the first time a London-born hitmaker has released their own body of work without being assisted by a record labelA frequent collaborator of Mike Sabath, who directed the project, as well as executive producing and directing the album of 16 tracks, My 21st Century Blues, was released in September 2018. Over the course of 15 songs, two feature songs from Mahalia and 070 Shake are included in this album. There can be no other medicine that can ease my anxieties, trauma, and unfiltered thoughts that come from this music. It is because of the music on this album that I was empowered to face my demons and have accompanied me throughout the darkest nights of my soul, crafted with unapologetic passion and without fear filled with love and tears.”

The “Black Mascara.” singer RAYE has not only released her own music on the market, but has also contributed her vocals to a variety of recent collaborations, including “I Don’t Want You” with Riton, “Midnight Strikes” with Amorphous, “You Can’t Change Me” with David Guetta, “Go Girl” with Miraa May, “WYS” with Tion Wayne, “Waterfall” with Disclosure, and others.

A new project is expected to be released by Enchanting next month, one that has been confirmed to feature a R&B focus. The Texas-born talent, who’s about to drop his fifth studio album later this spring, has treated fans with the latest preview of what is to come with a brand new single called “Love S**t.” The new single follows up a pair of previous releases. They are “Tell Me Why” and “Keep It Playa.” The newly released track tells the story of the artist’s rocky relationship while an instrumental guitar provides a rousing backdrop.

The latest piece of work from Enchanting was the 2014 release No Luv, a 14-track project that featured features from Gucci Mane, Key Glock, Kali, Coi Leray, and more. In addition to these singles, she has also maintained a loyal following of fans with singles like “What I Want” performed by Jacquees and “Way Back,” which appeared in season two of the popular television series “P-Valley.”

As recently as a few days ago, in an interview with The New York Times, Trap and Blues artist Enchanting Jessye Norman discussed the beginnings of her artistic journey. “ There was a friend of mine, and he had a friend who owned a recording studio, and people knew I had a talent for singing. After high school, I did not post any recordings of my singing. Singing is my natural habitat, and I enjoy it immensely. Throughout the years, I have been involved in a number of aspects of R&B music. My first rapping experience occurred when I signed with Gucci,” she recalled.
