The new video for “BLANK” from DaBaby features Anthony Hamilton.

There have been a number of singles from DaBaby over the past few months, tying together a string of releases that seem like he’s building towards a new album. Among these drops are “YEA COME ON,” “THEY JUST WANT YOUR LIFE,” and “JOC IN ’06” And today (March 15), he has added to that collection with “BLANK,” which is a laid-back offering with an appearance from Anthony Hamilton, who brings the truth about a rumored relationship to the table.

A new video for Reel Goats’ “BLANK” was directed by James Rico and features the video’s adulterous subject matter brought to life by Rico’s brilliant direction. There is a shot that shows DaBaby with his lover in the lavish residence in which they reside. In the end, Hamilton is armed with a gun in hand, making a reference to Ronald Isley’s legendary performance in the film Mr. Biggs, a film in which a disloyal spouse wrongly mistreats a man. Quite simply, viewers will want to watch this film until the very end, no matter how deadly it might be.

There was a lot going on for DaBaby in the year 2022, which began with the joint project he did with YoungBoy Never Broke Again entitled BETTER THAN YOU. This project was a hit on the Billboard 200 chart as well as the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Charts, where it reached No. 10 and 7 respectively. In the following months, DaBaby continued to expand his audience with tracks such as “SHOWING OFF HER BODY” by Davido, “TOUGH SKIN,” and “WAITRESS,” “WIG” by Moneybagg Yo, “BONNET” by Pooh Shiesty. In addition to the follow-up to his 2019 breakout album, Baby On Baby, he also released Baby On Baby 2.

EST Gee releases a new video for “25MIN FREESTYLE”

As I mentioned in my last post, EST Gee will release his new album, MAD, on Friday, March 17th. The album contains 14 songs along with features from Boosie Badazz, Young Scooter, and Kada. It was announced today (March 14) that he would be dropping off a new single from the forthcoming project which will be called “25MIN FREESTYLE,” a MOZ, Robawithit, and John Gotitt-produced offering which has the Louisville star letting out a slower flow while still maintaining a very menacing feel that fans should be able to enjoy right away.

As part of the accompanying video for “25MIN FREESTYLE,” which was directed by Cash Jundi, EST Gee can be seen in a lot featuring a number of high-end vehicles along with some other characters. In addition to this, we can also see the rapper who recorded the track “Lick Back” with a few of his associates in the recording studio.

The release of MAD will come in the wake of 2022’s I Never Felt Nun, which is a continuation of two releases that took place in 2020, I Still Don’t Feel Nun and Ion Feel Nun. I Never Felt Nun was a collection of songs that featured notable contributions from Machine Gun Kelly, Jack Harlow, Future, Bryson Tiller, and Jeezy. It is also becoming EST Gee most commercially successful work to date, with the 21-song album peaking at No. 8 and No. 3 respectively on the Billboard 200 and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts, indicating that the songs have been extremely well received.

On Monday (Feb. 7), Logic released a new single entitled “Paradise II,” which features previous collaborator Norah Jones. In a way, the track serves as the follow-up to 2015’s “Paradise,” a standout performance from Jesse Boykins III and The Incredible True Story. On “Paradise II”, with production by Conor Albert, Logic raps fervently about his abundant life and accomplishments in the following appositions:

The album will follow the 30-song offering that took place last year, Vinyl Days, and will feature additional contributions from Wiz Khalifa, Curren$y, Royce da 5’9″, AZ, DJ Premier, The Game, Action Bronson, and more. On Billboard’s 200 chart, the album peaked at No. 12 and No. 6 respectively, and was recognized as one of the best R&B/Hip-Hop albums of all time. The Florida rapper, Kodak Black, released an impressive new track yesterday (Jan. 22) called “Maui Woop,” which is produced by Dyryk and sees the rapper taking a moment to reflect on his life and losses.

In addition to the track, Maui Woop also includes a matching video produced by Cameraman Chris. Kodak Black can be seen entertaining his viewers with a drink on the balcony. He also takes part in water activities, having fun with his kids, and more in the Aloha state. Aside from that, he is seen wearing high-end furs in an unknown setting with his crew of friends.

Kodak Black recently dropped a new album on the heels of his last effort, Kutthroat Bill: Vol 1, which came out last year. The record also included collaborations with the likes of Prince Swanny, NFL Tuewop, VVSNCE, and Lil Crix. Further to this, 2022 was a year in which the 19-track collection Back for Everything was released. There was no doubt that that album would be dominated by the smash hit “Super Gremlin,” a song with an emotional impact that was first released in 2021. In addition to earning a platinum certification on those two singles, they also reached the third spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. A prominent part of the album features a guest appearance from Sniper Gang’s frontman on Kendrick Lamar’s critically acclaimed fifth album, Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, released on March 29, 2015. The album set a new standard for hip-hop with its own instrumentals and lyrics. During the week ending January 16, Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers had the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart.

RJmrLA releases new video for “Stop Playin Wit Me”

As of October of 2022, RJmrLA had finally released his highly anticipated Rodney Brown Jr. album, creating quite a stir among hip-hop fans. The 20-track collection of tracks that made up the album featured a number of artists, including Bree Carter, Roddy Ricch, Marcus, Symba, Cashton, G Perico, Joe Moses, and plenty of others. There were a number of singles that preceded the release, including “Special Delivery” alongside Ty Dolla $ign, and “Aye B**ch,” “Corner House” with O.T. Genasis and on which he raps over a sample of Usher’s iconic 2001 single “U Don’t Have To Call.”

I am pleased to inform you that the South Central-born artist returned to the scene yesterday (Jan. 12), with the official music video for his song “Stop Playin Wit Me.” RJmrLA depicts the hills of Hollywood in his new clip, which was directed by Keoni Mars, while continuously moving over production by J Drip.

RJmrLA was last seen on 2020’s Let Me Talk My S**t, an album that consisted of 10 tracks. This album included guest appearances from Mike Wayne, 1TakeJay, Bino Rideaux, Bree Carter, Joe Moses, Rucci, and others. In addition to his own productions, he has recently been featured on collaborations that include “What If?” featuring Rucci, “Evil Thoughts” produced for the late Drakeo The Ruler, and “Instagram” recorded with Joe Moses.

Related to this initiative, Roger Brown recently announced the first leg of his “Rodney Brown Jr. Tour,” which is scheduled to commence at the end of January in Santa Ana. During a previous interview, he elaborated on how he feels completely comfortable performing in front of a crowd full of people. It is on the stage that I am able to let go of everything. The only thing I get to do is become the superstar I wish to be and feel I am capable of becoming. I was always told that I was not an average person by my people. Those feelings were poured into him,” he stated.
