Having taken a quick break, Calboy has returned to the music scene with his melodic offering once again after taking a very short break. The musician treated his fans to a new song titled “Trippin Bout It” a few days ago. This song is a close follow-up to “Stargaze” which was released early this month. There is a cinematic clip accompanying the accompanying material that tells the story of a team facing the prospect of turning their backs on one another during a risky mission was being attempted by them. Chicago emcee Travers raps about being surrounded by fake love on the track, in which he describes his situation as follows:
It was in 2022 when Calboy released his first EP, Black Heart, which featured eight tracks which were also accompanied by appearances by Jackboy,Fredo Bang, and Joey BADA$$. It was Long Live The Kings that came out in 2020, which originally contained six tracks, along with contributions from artists such as Lil Baby, Lil Tjay, and G Herbo. Following the release of his debut album, he went back with a deluxe edition, adding six new songs and collaborating with the late Yo Gotti, Polo G, Fivio Foreign, and King Von in addition to new collaborations on the album.
Aside from his own releases, the “Envy Me” rapper Calboy has been rattling out guest verses on a number of tracks, including “Pressure” featuring Kodie Shane, “Red Dead” produced for Polo G and Manifest, “Hopeless Romantic” featuring Cz Beats, “Priceless” featuring Flannan, and more.

It was with great pleasure that Lloyd Banks released the third installment of his The Course of the Inevitable series on Friday (April 21). It’s not exactly shocking when you hear that the G-Unit alum released his latest album under the name Pieces of My Pain. It consists of 16 tracks with contributions from 38 Spesh, Method Man, Vado, Dave East, Tony Yayo, and Cormega.
In addition to his well-received album, Lloyd Banks also treated fans with a video for one of the standouts tracks off the album, “Invisible,” one of the most compelling drops from Cartune Beatz that featured some of the best wordplay, lines, and interpretations about Banks’ hard-won status as one of the best in the business.
With the accompanying video for “Invisible”, direct by Llama, everything is kept simple with a variety of shots depicting the New York emcee wandering around a variety of locations, some of which are near train tracks, in front of his SUV, as well as inside an almost entirely dark room.
During the summer of 2021, Lloyd Banks marked his return to wax with his release The Course of the Inevitable, which featured 18 tracks and featured contributions from a wide variety of artists, including Freddie Gibbs, Benny the Butcher, Roc Marciano, Styles P, and Sy Ari da Kid. Taking it to the next level, he released The Course of the Inevitable 2 in 2022, another action-packed release that included collaborations with Tony Yayo, Conway the Machine, Jadakiss, and more. The fact that Banks’ musical output has remained consistent for the past few years provides hope that things will remain that way in the future as well.

Having just completed a pair of stellar Coachella performances, Latto knows just how good she is. As a way to celebrate her stellar performance on the stage, the ClayCo County-bred artist returned yesterday (April 24) with her new “Put It On Da Floor” video, a short clip that combines all the highlights from her performance into a three-minute clip. The track is produced by Go Grizzly, Pooh Beatz and Squat Beatz. The powerful vocals of Latto are overlaid on top of the instrumental, over the sound of the massive crowd, encouraging her to keep going:
As part of her sophomore LP, 777, which was released back in March 2022, Latto presented our audience with a variety of features, including Childish Gambino, 21 Savage, Lil Wayne, Nardo Wick, Lil Durk, and Kodak Black. In terms of singles, the album was anchored by her highly successful “Big Energy” track, which was produced by Vaughn Oliver and Dr. Luke and sampled Mariah Carey ’90s classic “Fantasy.” As a result, fans have been able to interact with their favorite songs, such as “Wheelie,” “777,” “It’s Givin,” and “Soufside.”
Besides dropping her own albums, the 24-year-old rapper has made an impression on the music scene by dishing out features to tracks such as “Don’t Play With It (Remix)” from Lola Brooke, “FreakyT (Remix)” from TiaCorine, and more.

It’s been three long years since Breonna Taylor was fatally shot in her own home by police officers. And now, as if reopening old wounds, one of the officers involved in that tragic incident has just been rehired by the sheriff’s office. Myles Cosgrove is back on duty and stirring up controversy once again. In this blog post, we explore what happened, why it matters, and what it says about our justice system today.
It all started on March 13th, 2020 when Louisville Metro police officers forced their way into Breonna Taylor’s home without warning. They were executing a “no-knock” warrant issued in connection to a drug investigation – even though the man they were looking for had already been arrested. During the raid, three officers fired multiple rounds at Taylor and her boyfriend, Kenneth Walker. Taylor was fatally shot multiple times and Walker was injured.
Myles Cosgrove was one of the officers who fired his weapon that night. After an internal investigation, he was placed on administrative reassignment in June 2020 pending termination – however, he ultimately kept his job. Now, three years after the deadly shooting of Breonna Taylor, Myles Cosgrove has been rehired by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office as a civilian employee.
The hiring of Cosgrove has been met with criticism from Taylor’s family and activists, who say that he should not be employed by the sheriff’s office given the circumstances of her death. However, Sheriff John Aubrey defended the decision, saying that Cosgrove is a “qualified applicant” and that he had no role in planning or executing the raid.
Since the announcement of Myles Cosgrove’s hiring by the sheriff’s office, the community has been divided on whether or not it is an appropriate move. Some believe that Cosgrove should be held accountable for his role in Breonna Taylor’s death and believe that this hire is a step in the right direction. Others feel that Cosgrove should not be given a position of authority given the circumstances of Taylor’s death. There is also concern that this hire could set a precedent for other officers who have been involved in fatal shootings.
This lack of accountability contributes to a culture of violence and impunity within law enforcement. It also erodes trust between police and the communities they are sworn to protect. When officers are not held accountable for their actions, it sends a message that their lives are more valuable than those of the people they are supposed to serve and protect. This is unacceptable.
There needs to be significant reform in how law enforcement is held accountable for its actions. We need to create a system where officers who use excessive force are immediately removed from their positions and face criminal charges. Only then will we start to see real change in how police treat the communities they are supposed to serve.
There are many ways to hold police accountable for their actions. One way is to have an independent review board that investigates complaints against officers. Another way is to require officers to wear body cameras and have the footage released to the public. Additionally, police departments can be more transparent with their data and release information on officer-involved shootings. Communities can come together and demand accountability from their local police department.
