With the help of certain soulful cuts over the last year, KIING has made some serious waves with songs such as “Disconnected,” “Gotta Work,” “CYL,” and “War 4 U.” As part of KIING’s ongoing commitment to change, the R&B collective recently dropped a new track titled “Mood” that was produced by Trey Livin and S3LIM and sees them sending messages to their respective loved ones.
“Mood” includes a video that can be viewed on the song’s official website, which captures the quartet showing off their dance moves in a studio. Additionally, the Ryan Malcolm-Campbell-directed video gives viewers a unique glimpse behind the scenes of the overall production, providing an overview of how it was put together and the supporting team who came alongside it.
The group, which includes members Berkley, Jax, Jade, and Asha, KIING (which stands for intelligence, kindness, notorious, independence, and greatness) originated with LaurieAnn Gibson, an iconic multi-talented artist. Furthermore, Gibson has choreographed performances for Alicia Keys, Beyoncé, and Michael Jackson, among others. However, she is best known for her work on the MTV show “Making The Band,” a show that was also known to have featured Sean “Diddy” Combs in the role of producer as well as launching the careers of Danity Kane, DaBand, and DAY26. On June 19, Drake became the latest big name to grace the restaurant, an event that was caught on camera for everyone to see.
But why has Trill Burgers become such a hot spot for hip-hop royalty? And what does it mean for the music business? In this blog post, we’ll explore how the restaurant is revolutionizing the fast food game and the potential impact it could have on the industry, all through the lens of Drake’s recent visit.
So, let’s dive into the mouthwatering world of Trill Burgers, where music and food come together to create a one-of-a-kind experience that will leave your taste buds dancing to the beat.
The Allure of Trill Burgers
Located in Houston, the heart of hip-hop culture in the South, Trill Burgers is more than just a fast food joint; it’s a celebration of the music and the artists who have made an impact on the scene. The restaurant’s name itself pays homage to the late Pimp C, Bun B’s UGK partner, who popularized the term “trill” to describe the fusion of “true” and “real” in their music.
Trill Burgers is a place where music lovers can come together to enjoy delicious food while surrounded by the sights and sounds of hip-hop. It’s no surprise that the establishment has attracted some of the biggest names in the industry with its unique blend of music-infused ambiance and mouthwatering menu items.
Drake’s recent visit to the restaurant is a testament to its appeal. As one of the most influential artists in modern hip-hop, his presence further solidifies Trill Burgers as a must-visit destination for fans and musicians alike. The Canadian rapper’s appearance was captured on camera, showcasing the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere that the restaurant has cultivated.
Impact on the Music Business
Trill Burgers is not only a place for artists and fans to enjoy great food; it also serves as a hub for networking and collaboration within the industry. With so many influential figures frequenting the restaurant, it’s a prime location for artists to connect with one another, paving the way for potential collaborations and business ventures.
Drake’s visit to Trill Burgers also highlights the power of celebrity endorsements and social media in the modern music business. The images and videos of Drake enjoying his meal at the restaurant have quickly spread across social media, generating buzz and driving even more customers to the establishment. This kind of exposure is invaluable for any business, particularly one that is just starting out.
Bun B’s Trill Burgers has quickly become a hotspot for hip-hop royalty, and Drake’s recent visit only further cements its status as a must-visit destination for fans and artists alike. The restaurant’s unique blend of food, music, and culture has struck a chord with the hip-hop community, offering a one-of-a-kind experience that cannot be replicated elsewhere.

In just a few days (Feb. 3), Jamaican rapper Skillibeng and Florida rapper Nardo Wick teamed up with the aim of releasing a new single titled “16CHOPPA.” The track, in line with the duo’s pasts, is filled with hard-hitting bars discussing both their lifestyles and oft-violent pasts.
This newest release from Skillibeng follows up a December release called I’ll Never Die – The Prodigy Edition, which boasted 10 songs from assorted artists including Kyoka and Rich The Kid. In addition to his recent releases, the star of “Crocodile Teeth” has kept his fans well-fed with his well-received EP Mr. Universe, as well as a series of notable free drops and collaborations, including “blessing me” featuring Mura Masa, “Pree” featuring Popcaan, “Rain” featuring Shenseea, “Whap Whap (Remix)” featuring Fivio Foreign and French Montana, and “More Fire.”
Moreover, in 2022, Nardo also released the deluxe edition of his debut studio album in partnership with Caspian, titled Who Is Nardo Wick? , an album consisting of 31 tracks as well as features from a wide range of artists, including The Kid LAROI, BIG30, 21 Savage, Future, Lil Durk, Lil Baby, Latto, and more. Recently, he has collaborated with Babyface Ray, BIG30, and G Herbo in the song FaZe Kaysan “Plenty.”
A short while ago, Skillibeng talked to On The Radar Radio about his status as a musical frontrunner in an interview that I have included above:
“I’m not bragging, but… As of today, it has been over three years since I’ve been dubbed as Jamaica’s most talked about artist both locally and internationally,” he stated. “Since I’ve become the most talked-about artist for a couple of years now, and everybody is dying to know what I’m doing, they’re all asking, so what’s this kid all about?’? Who is Skilled?'”
In addition, he explained, “I think I am the leader of the new generation based on the stats and what the evidence shows. It seems like a lot of my flows have been stolen by others, don’t you think? Some of my techniques that I teach in interviews have been stolen by younger artists, they are stealing my moves, they are doing what I teach them, and that is stealing my talent as well. I am grateful to them.”

A new project is expected to be released by Enchanting next month, one that has been confirmed to feature a R&B focus. The Texas-born talent, who’s about to drop his fifth studio album later this spring, has treated fans with the latest preview of what is to come with a brand new single called “Love S**t.” The new single follows up a pair of previous releases. They are “Tell Me Why” and “Keep It Playa.” The newly released track tells the story of the artist’s rocky relationship while an instrumental guitar provides a rousing backdrop.
The latest piece of work from Enchanting was the 2014 release No Luv, a 14-track project that featured features from Gucci Mane, Key Glock, Kali, Coi Leray, and more. In addition to these singles, she has also maintained a loyal following of fans with singles like “What I Want” performed by Jacquees and “Way Back,” which appeared in season two of the popular television series “P-Valley.”
As recently as a few days ago, in an interview with The New York Times, Trap and Blues artist Enchanting Jessye Norman discussed the beginnings of her artistic journey. “ There was a friend of mine, and he had a friend who owned a recording studio, and people knew I had a talent for singing. After high school, I did not post any recordings of my singing. Singing is my natural habitat, and I enjoy it immensely. Throughout the years, I have been involved in a number of aspects of R&B music. My first rapping experience occurred when I signed with Gucci,” she recalled.
