Quavo, a standout figure in the contemporary music scene, is known for his hard-hitting lyrics and infectious hooks. With a recent reconciliation with Offset, fans were expecting a collaboration between the two. However, Quavo has decided to take a different path. The release of his latest work, “Rocket Power,” has created a buzz, but what’s surprising is his next venture. Quavo has revealed his next project will be the posthumous album of Takeoff, a project that holds a special place in his heart.

Quavo’s New : The Rocket’s Project

In a recent exclusive chat with VIBE, Quavo opened up about his future plans. While there was curiosity about any potential music tapes with his previous Migos mate, Set, Quavo chose not to entertain these questions. Instead, he declared his focus on a new project, which he lovingly refers to as “Rocket’s project.”

“The next project I’m going to be working on is the Rocket’s. You know what I’m saying? Takeoff,” he revealed without a timeline. “I’m gathering a whole bunch of information, gathering a lot of producers, gathering a lot of my friends, a lot of the artists. And we’re going to make this album one of the craziest albums of all time.”

Quavo is determined to make this project a grand tribute to Takeoff, bringing together a talented group of producers, artists, and friends. He aims to create an album that will resonate with fans and cement Takeoff’s legacy in the music industry.

Honoring Takeoff: A Commitment to Memory

Quavo’s connection with Takeoff goes beyond music. They were not just group members but also family. Since Takeoff’s untimely death in November, Quavo has continued to remember and honor his nephew in his own way. His first solo album since 2018’s “Quavo Huncho” is a testament to this, where he openly discusses his grief and his struggle to appreciate life amidst the loss.

“I feel like this is trap Gospel, you know what I’m saying? This the gangster Gospel. This for the ones who sometimes may let a cuss word slip out in church, but still say, ‘Sorry, Lord.’ Everybody ain’t the same to where they can express themself without saying a cuss word or two.”

Quavo sees his latest album as a form of “Trap Gospel,” a raw and honest expression of his emotions and experiences. It’s an album for those who may not always be perfect but are genuine in their feelings and their love for God.

A Glimpse into Quavo’s Vulnerability: “Hold Me”

One track that particularly showcases Quavo’s raw emotions is “Hold Me,” where he opens up about losing Takeoff and his faith in God. The lyrics are a piercing look into his heart, revealing a side of Quavo that fans rarely see.

Remembering Takeoff: A Constant Reminder

Takeoff, whose real name was Kirsnick Khari Ball, left a void in Quavo’s life. However, Quavo is determined to keep his memory alive. He expresses his love and misses for Takeoff, assuring fans that his smile does not mean he has forgotten his nephew.

“I miss him a lot and I love him. He know I love him. That’s what we always know. So when you see me and you see me smiling or something like that, you don’t gotta never think I forgot about him or I’ll forget about him. I think about him all the time. Sometimes I cry myself to sleep. And that’s it.”

Quavo’s heartfelt confession resonates with anyone who has experienced loss. His words remind us that grief is personal, and everyone copes differently. However, the love we hold for the departed never fades away.
