A high school teacher in Virginia was relieved of his classroom duties as he had asked his students to describe how George Floyd, a Black man, was killed by Minneapolis police officers in May. It has been reported that this was posed in the form of a fill-inthe-blank question: “George Floyd couldn’t breathe because a police officer put his __ George’s neck.” Almost immediately, parents called up the school to complain.
