Freddy Rugga: The Millennial Music Street King

A drug epidemic ravaged East Flatbush during the 1980s and early 1990s, mostly in Vanderveer Estates Apartments, now known as Flatbush Gardens. The intersection of Foster Avenue and Nostrand Avenues was nicknamed “the Front Page” because of media attention to drug murders. The intersection of Foster between New York Avenue and Brooklyn Avenue area to the south was called “the Back Page” because its many murders went unnoticed. The area around the Nostrand playground had various gangs: Crips, Gangster Disciples, Jamaicans (Shower Posse), Trinidadians, and Grenadians, particularly notorious for turf wars, shootouts, and pitbull fights. Welcome to Flatbush, Brooklyn, New York.

Freddy Rugga was a rose that grew from the concrete drug-filled streets of Brooklyn. From birth Freddy Rugga inherited two strikes, being black & a young fatherless male. Being raised by a strong-willed single mother has its advantages; however, the plights & struggles of becoming a “MAN” requires the influence & guidance of a real active “FATHER.” Self-educated with a “READY TO DIE” mentality created an edge to Freddy Rugga, which enabled him to develop superior street survival skills. Imagine living as a child in a homeless shelter amongst other kids and having strangers manage your life.

One day, a well-known Harlem Rapper named Black Rob visits your shelter & can perform in front of a multi-platinum artist! Freddy Rugga performed as a young black male in front of the legendary rapper Black Rob & blew him away. Black Rob looked Freddy Rugga in his young eyes & told him, “you got something special, kid.” Five months later, Freddy Rugga & Black Rob were incarcerated & both dreams got deferred.

Freddy Rugga evolved from the gripes of prison & re-emerged onto the music scene with an uncontrollable rage. In 2006 he recorded his first mixtape aptly titled Ruggatime Volume 1 & every corner store, bodega, & hood spot was buzzing. Freddy Rugga dropped his debut album Loyalty & Money in 2016 & it became an immediate street hustler’s anthem. The hard-hitting & heavy bass line track “LIFE” resonates with every person on their grind searching for a better day.

The lyrics of “LIFE” showcases the mental toughness & depth of the mind of Freddy Rugga. The entire track reflects the growth of that same young black male, seeking a way out of that homeless shelter, & being “AGAINST ALL ODDS.” When you listen to the track “LIFE,” it sends chills down your spine, because the drums, basslines, & lyrics define the power of change. Freddy Rugga has endured every type of pain imaginable; however, his voice & music remains dominant on the streets of New York. Freddy Rugga is “The Millennial Music Street King

King James Worthy: The New Definition of Millennial R&B Cool

I just landed in Miami, and I have the worst headache imaginable.  Working 21 hours per day over the past 96 hours has taken its toll.  But the saying is true “Heavy is the Head that wears the crown.” Flying first class on Delta has its perks, and this prime rib steak dinner is a clear reminder of why I remain loyal to the grind.  During my flight, Jodeci’s “Diary of a Mad Band” was my sleep therapy aid.

“Cry For You” is one of the greatest R&B tracks from the ’90s and guaranteed to put anyone to sleep within 5 minutes.

Classic R&B music is the perfect antidote for migraines, broken hearts, and falling in love.  As I enter my chauffeured Escalade ESV, the driver stores my luggage and provides a complimentary bottle of Deleon Tequila.  I look at the driver and say, “how in the world did you I needed this?”.  He smiled and said SLS Hotel ensures that every guest receives the highest level of service and amenities. Sometimes we forget the beauty of simple things like “consideration.”

My driver asks me my music preference, and I request “Call On Me” by James Worthy feat Sonna Rele.  The piano chords and angelic voice of Sonna Rele feel like Halle Berry is whispering sweet nothings in my ear.  I take a shot of Platinum Deleon and engulf myself into the sonic vibes.  The lyrics elevate my energy and creates a luxurious ambiance within my mind. The entrance of James Worthy voice commands my immediate attention.  There is an intriguing significance in his voice inflections, lyrical content, and emotional balance.  James Worthy’s music creates a signature style of R&B elegance.

I’m on my third shot of Deleon, and I switch tracks to “Move” featuring Ecstasy.  The high-intensity beat production of “Move” makes me feel like I’m moving thru Club “Liv” searching for Ms. Right. “Move” embodies the fast-paced nightlife of Miami and mesmerizes your imagination.  The most potent element of “MOVE” is “CONFIDENCE.” “Move” unlocks the inner “SHAFT” in every man and empowers them to conquer fears and approach their love interest without mental boundaries.

As I approach the SLS Hotel, my driver hands me a bottle of Aquahydrate and unloads my luggage.  I thanked him for being a consummate professional and tipped him handsomely.  The front desk staff warmly welcomes me to Miami and provides full concierge service.

The diverse staff ushers me up to my Premier Balcony Suite, which boasts oceans views of Miami in panoramic style.

I collapse on the bed and close my eyes in complete exhaustion.  I adjust my Beats Pro earphones and play “This Wave” from James’s album “Kaleidoscopes.”

Sonically the track gives me that “Babyface” Never Keeping Secrets type vibe.  James possesses a very rare talent for converting vulnerable emotions into transparent expressions of romanticism.  The music of James Worthy enables listeners to mesh their reality and fantasy simultaneously via music.  The track “This Wave” featuring “Truth Hurts” is another example of why he is “The New Definition of Millennial R&B Cool.”  His latest album, “Kaleidoscopes,” is the perfect extension of “Blu Leisure.”

Richmond police say white supremacists acting like protestors ignited riots

The police chief and mayor of Richmond, Virginia reprimand racial oppressors for affecting viciousness at a quiet Black Lives Matter protestor.

The police chief and mayor of Richmond, Virginia presume that white supremacists acting like protestors invaded a Black Lives Matter meeting throughout the end of the week and impelled obliteration and brutality. As per nearby CBS News associate WTVR, the march was sorted out close to the Richmond Police Headquarters and was intended to show solidarity with anti-police brutality protests in Portland, Oregon.

Talking during a public interview, Police Chief Gerald Smith said the office had recognized a portion of the individuals from the gathering who caused property demolition as Antifa supporters and individuals from the Boogaloo Boys — a far-right extremist group.

“We have identified some individuals who have been seen with the Boogaloo Boys and some Antifa groups around the area,” Smith said. “The majority of those individuals who were there last night were Caucasian and some of the individuals that we encountered were from outside of Richmond, Virginia, and some of the surrounding area.”

As per Smith, an online flyer calling for violence during the occasion was made by a person outside of Richmond.

“We know that the origin of the flyer came from outside of Richmond,” he explained. “There are some people who are still inside some of these organizations that will still give us information and that’s how we know it came from outside of Richmond.”

During the meeting, Richmond Mayor Levar Stoney said that white supremacists had endeavored to sabotage Black Lives Matter activists’ month-long serene protests by destroying property and labeling houses with “hateful language.” Stoney guaranteed the public that the police department is attempting to recognize these people and consider them responsible.

“We saw some violent actions, violent protests, spearheaded by white supremacists — and frankly, it was disgusting,” Stoney said. “As they held plywood shields that read “BLM,” these folks toured areas of damage downtown, The Fan, breaking windows, tagging private property with hateful language.”

Stoney uncovered that Black Lives Matter activists had helped authorities recognize a portion of the instigators and expressed gratitude toward them for what he called “24 successive long stretches of peaceful protests.”

“As I began with, I want to send a thanks to the BLM protesters on the ground who decried the white supremacists once they were identified,” he said. “I’m thankful to you for drawing the line and sticking up not just for the sanctity of your movement, but also the safety of your fellow Richmonders that you marched alongside as well.”

Judge orders city to divert over radio audio files from Breonna Taylor fatal shooting

MetroSafe has until Aug. 7 to turn over the audio files.

MetroSafe, Louisville’s emergency communications system, has close to 7 days to turn over the recorded radio discussions from the evening of the deadly shooting of Breonna Taylor.

A judge determined on early Wednesday (July 29), as per WLKY. Lawyer Sam Aguiar documented to get the accounts discharged in the interest of Taylor’s family for their civil lawsuit against previous Louisville cop Brett Hankison.

Aguiar scrutinized Hankison’s whereabouts during the evening of the lethal shooting. The lawyer guarantees that the previous officer left the scene for very nearly two hours. Aguiar needs MetroSafe to divert over audio chronicles from all cosed strategic channels too.

It’s been more than four months since Taylor was lethally shot within her home. Hankison, Jon Mattingly and Myles Cosgrove were the officers associated with the shooting. None of them have been captured or accused of her death. Hankison is the main officer who was terminated for his contribution.

Her case has gotten national consideration as entertainers and professional athletes request that the officers be held responsible for her demise. Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James utilized his post-scrimmage question and answer session to carry attention to her case.

“First of all, I want to continue to shed light on justice for Breonna Taylor and to her family and everything that’s going on with that situation,” James said.

“We want the cops arrested who committed that crime. In the state of Kentucky — what’s going on down there — I know a lot of people are feeling the same,” he continued. “Us as the NBA and [as] players — me as one of the leaders of this league — I want her family to know and I want the state of Kentucky to know that we feel for her and we want justice. That’s what it’s all about. What’s right is right and what’s wrong is wrong.”

MetroSafe has until Aug. 7 to turn over the accounts.
