Usher releases his new single, “GLU”

Almost five years have passed since Usher released A, an eight-song project he co-created with Zaytoven and which featured Gunna and Future. Over the years, the R&B legend has delivered a steady flow of singles, including “California” with Tyga, and “I Cry,” “Your Body Is to Blame,” “This Day,” “Bad Habits,” “Don’t Waste My Time” by Ella Mai. He has also been featured on a number of songs, including Justin Bieber “Peaches (Remix),” Major Lazer “Bang Bang,” Letter to My Son (Call Your Father),” Summer Walker “Come Thru,” Marshmello “Too Much,” DMX “ Black Coffee “LaLaLa,” Mary J. Blige “Need Love,” and City Girls “Good Love.”

A new single from Usher has been released today (March 17). The song has been titled “GLU,” an Lil Jon, Sean Garrett, and Avila Brothers production that is clearly designed for bedroom use.

It has been reported previously that Usher recently spoke of his new label partnership with L.A. Reid.

“It’s going to be [a record label] and then some,” he declared to Angie Martinez in an interview she conducted with him a while back. “Being back in each other’s lives…it’s great to be able to be a part of each other’s lives again. I think he has very much been a commodity for a lot of people in so many industries, and I think he will continue to be. In addition, there are so many incredible entities in the world. In contrast, now that we are able to work together and are able to take ownership of the future we are creating [is awesome].”

‘The Hurtbook (Homegirl Pack)’ has been released by Alex Vaughn

It is with great pleasure that I announce today (March 17th) the official release of Alex Vaughn new EP, The Hurtbook (Homegirl Pack). In order to achieve her goals, the LVRN signee secured the assistance of fellow artists Summer Walker, Ari Lennox, and Muni Long, all of whom contributed to the project’s lead single, “IYKYK.” The song’s opening hook speaks to the importance of self-confidence and self-love:

As of 2022, Alex Vaughn most recent release was The Hurtbook, which consisted of eight tracks without any musical features. An EP titled Voice Notes was released earlier that year to prepare fans for her performance. Besides her own releases, Alex Vaughn the “Do You Ever” singer has been featured on a number of collaborations including “One&Only” with O-Slice, “The Phabo Show” by Phabo, “These Exchanges” with Matt McGhee, “LIVE FOR IT” with IDK featuring Wale, and more.

The singer, who was born and raised in Maryland, talked about the inspiration behind her most recent body of work in a recent interview. “In the beginning, The Hurtbook was a collection of love stories that I had with individuals throughout my life,” she explained. “Eventually, as I developed and made changes to my career, I noticed something change both in the romance and friendships of my life but also in the way I interacted with my friends and ultimately with myself.”
