On November 18th, Uzi released the official video for the MCVertt and Synthetic-produced offering, which is directed by Gibson Hazard, as part of his YouTube channel. A bulletproof truck has been used to transport the Generation Now signee to Earth from what appears to be another planet in what appears to be an out-of-this-world clip. A minute later, viewers can see him breaking out some serious dance moves with YouTube star Kai Cenat and taking over the streets of New York. This is accompanied by some serious dance moves. A new single from Lil Uzi Vert, “Just Wanna Rock,” was released today (Oct. 17). It was produced by Synthetic and MCVertt and probably takes inspiration from Jersey club music. The track features a short, carefree verse from the Philly rapper:

As you may recall, Uzi released the 10-song EP Red & White in July, which included production by Hitkidd, ShaunGoBrazy, Mustard, Brandon Finessin, Don Cannon, Bally, Sonny Digital, and more. Prior to this collaboration, the artist collaborated with Future on Pluto x Baby Pluto, a 2020 album that reached the number two spot on the Billboard 200 in its first week, selling 105,000 equivalent album units. Within days of its initial release, Pluto x Baby Pluto was released in a deluxe edition with eight additional songs.

In a recent interview with Jazzy’s World TV, Uzi discussed the influence of his hometown on his image and style:

“Philadelphia had a profound effect on me as a person by helping me mould myself into the person I am today, because it always brought me around a very diverse group of people. I would be with the friends that I had in Philadelphia, which some might refer to as the hood. Due to the fact that I spent time in the suburbs with my friends, it made me who I am today. If it weren’t for Philadelphia, I probably would not be Uzi.”
