It was an ordinary day turned extraordinary when a renowned Chicago Rapper found himself sharing the spotlight with none other than basketball legend, Shaq. Unfolding like a scene straight out of a movie, Shaq surprised the rapper with a lavish gift – a $1 Million Rolls-Royce.

Unfolding of the Event: A Surreal Experience

As the sun dipped low on Friday, the Midwest rapper, GAWNE, unveiled his latest music video for the single “Chaos”. The song featured a surprise guest – the retired NBA star, Shaq. The collaboration came to life after an unexpected DM from Shaq on Instagram, a platform known for connecting celebrities and fans alike.

In an emotional 15-second clip following their video shoot, GAWNE expressed his disbelief and gratitude. “Shaq man, it’s the craziest day of my life. Shaq just gave me a Rolls. God bless you Shaq,” Gawne confessed. To which, Shaq replied with his trademark humor, “It’s yours, my boy. Now I gotta take an Uber.”

A Collaboration Rooted in Passion: Shaq’s Love for Rap

Aside from the grandeur of the gift, GAWNE couldn’t help but praise Shaq’s passion for rap. He described the experience of working with Shaq as magical, noting that in every take, Shaq rapped with his whole heart.

GAWNE also emphasized the admirable character of Shaq. He expressed his appreciation for Shaq as an individual, stating that as much as he admired making a song with him, he admired Shaq’s character even more.

The Song “Chaos”: A Glimpse into Shaq’s Rap Verses

This isn’t the first time Shaq has delved into the music scene. He’s also guest-starred alongside Damian Lillard (aka Dame D.O.L.L.A) on Meek Mill and Rick Ross’ “SHAQ & KOBE (Remix).”

During an episode of Complex’s GOAT Talk, Rick Ross shared that Shaq once signed him early in his career. They met in Atlanta, and Ross was eventually signed to O’Neal’s T.W.IsM. Records.

Reconnecting with Ross: A Token of Appreciation

Ross and Shaq eventually reconvened, leading Ross to gift Shaq an MMG chain during an episode of Inside the NBA in October.

Shaq’s surprise, as grand as it was, stands as a testament to his character. It not only reflects his love for music but also his generosity and kindness, traits that are often overlooked in the world of celebrities.

This tale of a dream collaboration made possible by a simple Instagram DM is truly a story for the books. It’s a reminder that dreams can come true, even if they come in the form of a $1 Million Rolls-Royce.

The new single titled “King Talk” by Shaquille O’Neal features Blackway

Shaquille O’Neal assured the public that he will continue to be pleasant on the mic. It was announced yesterday (May 2) that NBA Hall of Famer KoKo would release his new single, King Talk, which features Blackway. Shaquille O’Neal posted the track to his social media accounts for the first time back in February when he used it as part of an animation video celebrating LeBron’s record-breaking first season as the NBA’s all-time leading scorer. The track opens up with Blackway delivering a hard-hitting delivery following his hard-hitting delivery that he lays out:

“KoKo and I have been exchanging beats for a while now and we have been sending each other beats back and forth. I knew I had to seize this opportunity after he played me this song,” Shaquille O’Neal explained via a press release. “There was never going to be a better moment for me to collaborate with Blackway, and this was the right time for it. My favorite part about this record is that I can feel as if I’m walking out for game seven of the NBA finals. Especially for LeBron James, the lyrics of the track and the vibe of the music were perfect for the moment when he broke the NBA scoring record. There was no doubt in my mind that I must share it with the world a king respects a king.”

As it prepares to release his EP later this summer, Ghanaian-American afrobeats and hip hop artist Blackway is steadily working up to the release of his EP. Back in March, he released his first single titled, “Lion”, which is the lead track on the album. Among his most recent projects is the 2020 album New Yhana 2, a project that featured performances from Papi ojo, Busta Rhymes, and more.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a man who attacked a Black reporter on live television

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a man who attacked a Black reporter on live television

An arrest warrant has been issued by Mississippi police for an Ohio man accused of assaulting an African-American reporter during a live newscast. The NBC News reports that Benjamin Eugene Dagley will face charges of simple assault, curfew violations, and disturbing the peace in relation to his violent confrontation with Shaquille Brewster of MSNBC.

Dagley pulled up in his white pickup truck in the middle of Brewster’s live segment during Monday (Aug. 30). At the time, Brewster and the MSNBC crew were reporting live on Tropical Storm Ida.

As the news reporter covered the weather, he ignored the man. After a few moments of chaos, Dagley approached Brewster directly and shouted, “Report accurately.”

In Dagley’s case, it isn’t his first run-in with the law. If he traveled to Gulfport without permission, he might be in violation of his probation in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. In 2017, the 54-year-old admitted to vandalism, attempted assault, and causing panic. Cleveland Plating, where he was once the owner, was reportedly broken into and dangerous chemicals, including sodium cyanide, yellow chromate, sulfuric acid, and ferrous chloride, were exposed because of holes he drilled into tanks of chemicals.

The police said that Dangley’s drilling could lead to an environmental disaster. When he released dangerous chemicals into the air, his colleagues told authorities he was aware of what he was doing. After finding the leaks, the 27-year-old security guard was taken to the local hospital for possible cyanide poisoning.

In two months, Dagley and two others broke into Cleveland Plating – yet again – and were charged with misdemeanor assault. A security guard says he was punched and a door was slammed into his knee by them.

Dagley remains at large as of Wednesday (Sept. 1).
