Loon and Diddy Reunite After Former’s prison release

After his prison release, the rapper who was previously known as Loon reunited with Diddy.

It was on Sunday (Sept. 20), that the former Bad Boy signee posted pictures of the duo smiling, hugging, and talking to each other, as they got together at Diddy’s home in Los Angeles, California. “Everything is not what it seems,” he captioned the photo. “After all that we’ve been through, the love cannot be denied. We’ve traveled the world together, made millions together, and at times we may not have always agreed, but by Allah, if I hadn’t experienced the things that we went through, I wouldn’t have become the man that I am today!”

The duo first partnered up for Diddy’s “I Need A Girl” as well as its sequel, before Loon released his debut album in 2003 on Bad Boy Records. Back in 2008, Loon decided to quit being a part of the music industry, converted to the religion of Islam and became Amir Junaid Muhadith.

In the year 2011, Loon was charged with conspiracy of distributing more than one kilogram of heroin and he received a 14-year sentence. In 2012, he pleaded guilty to one count of conspiring to distribute and possession with intent to distribute one kilogram or more of heroin. After serving 9 years of his prison sentence, he was released early, as US District Judge Terrence Boyle pointed out that the Coronavirus pandemic is an “extraordinary and compelling” reason, particularly because of his previous health issues. Moreover, Boyle deduced that Loon was not a societal threat.

After the news emerged about his release, Diddy took to social media to write “God is great. Welcome home. Get at me king. Love.”

Later, Loon spoke to “The Breakfast Club” and revealed that it would be “good” to chat with Diddy although he no longer intends on making music. “It would be a whole new space for us,” he said at the time. Speaking about his separation from Bad Boy Records, Loon explained that it was merely “business,” and that his relationship with Diddy did not deteriorate.
