With his first release of 2023, Morray returns with his first release of the year and enlists Lil Tjay for the assist on the track. This introspective song titled “High Price” shares with the listener moments of reflection that the North Carolina native learned through the journey to the top of the music industry. In his verse, Meek, whose lyrics deal with chasing goals in order to achieve success, mentions Philly rapper Meek Mill when he raps:
Morray continued to stay connected with his fans throughout the year of 2022 through the release of singles such as the Southside-produced “Broken Vows,” and “Da Rant” and “Momma’s Love,” “Ticket,” “Still Here” in collaboration with Cordae. As well as contributing to the vocals to his own releases, Morray has also appeared on countless recent tracks such as “All Them Days” featuring Derez De’Shon, “Real S**t” featuring OMB Peezy, “TAIL LIGHTS” featuring Macklemore, and “Long The Way” featuring Jetson, which was featured on the Dreamville-curated soundtrack to Creed III.
It was April 2021, when the “Dreamland” artist released his last album, Street Sermons, which featured 13 tracks, including his breakout single, “Quicksand.” Later that year, he joined Toosii, 42 Dugg, Pooh Shiesty, Flo Milli, Coi Leray, and Blxst as a member of the XXL Freshman Class. As part of his career achievements, he attended his first Grammy Awards in early 2022, where he was nominated for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance for his appearance on J. Cole “m y l i f e” alongside 21 Savage.

Benny The Butcher announced his upcoming tour on social media on Monday (March 13) “Thank God I Made It World Tour.” The tour, which is set to start in Baltimore in April, will tour four additional American cities before heading over to Europe, where the Buffalo emcee is scheduled to rock stages in Israel, Greece, Germany, as well as many more cities before coming to an end in April. It should be noted that along with the announcement, Benny also provided some humorous instructions about how to celebrate, including that you should buy tickets, make your way to the right venue, scream at the top of your lungs, and sing the lyrics as though you wrote ’em yourself.
In the interview that Benny conducted for the “Tour Tales” series, Benny The Butcher spoke publicly about how important it is to give fans a show that is second to none. “People come to see what I do when I rap over just the record and don’t have any vocals,” he explained. “At first, I never realized what I was doing until I started doing it regularly for two or three years. There is a greater level of emotion in that. There is no better way to express your feelings.”
The musician also provided some tips that he has learned over the course of his career regarding touring.
“You should be cautious about inviting them back into your room,” Benny The Butcher advised. “In addition, you should be cautious of these promoters. It is possible that they are attempting to scam you. There’s a variety of s**t to look out for besides searching out for violence.”
A few years back, in the year 2022, Benny The Butcher launched the fourth episode of his Tana Talk series. A total of twelve tracks were featured on that project, along with features from the likes of 38 Spesh, Diddy, Conway The Machine, J. Cole, Boldy James, and Westside Gunn. His Black Soprano Family collective was also involved with the compilation titled Long Live DJ Shay in the same year, which was named for the late Griselda Records producer of the same name. It is important to note that Benny has appeared on a plethora of songs, outside of his own releases, including G Herbo “Real Rap,” Maxo Kream “FOOTBALL HEADS,” Lobby Boyz “Praying,” Lloyd Banks “Living Proof,” DJ Drama “Forever,” and French Montana “RZA.”

It is the accompanying visual that arrives courtesy of JL Shot That and it starts off with the scene where you see the cops and the artist interact with each other. It has been a busy few months for Morray as he has released a number of tracks, such as the Southside-produced “Momma’s Love,” “Ticket,” “Still Here” in collaboration with Cordae, and the most recent, “Broken Vows.” It would appear Morray is wrapping up the year with his final release, “Da Rant,” a bar-heavy track that examines his life experiences. In addition, Shawn White directed the accompanying video, which shows an in-depth look at the creative process and shows everything from the studio lighting to the stage lighting, and captured everything the video goes through during the production process. His song, which was recorded later this year, is an open ode to his hard-working upbringing as well as to his future plans:
Morray’s most recent project (a 13-track collection of work) was released in April of last year and featured a number of hits, including his breakout single, “Quicksand.” In addition, at the beginning of the year, the rapper made his debut appearance at the Grammys and for that performance, he was nominated for both Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance, both for the song he performed on J. Cole’s “m y l i f e” with 21 Savage. Furthermore, he would join the ranks of Pooh Shiesty, Toosii, 42 Dugg, Coi Leray, Flo Milli, and Blxst as part of the XXL Freshman Class of that year.
During an interview with the duo behind “Switched Up,” the “Switched Up” artist discusses how significant it is not to become complacent. It is my firm belief that the results you will receive will be far from the only things to be gained from this experience. It is not sufficient to stay here and think that is sufficient. As for me, I’m better than everything you have seen so far, and I intend to demonstrate this to you. When the album and videos are released, you’re going to realize that Morray is much better than what you’re already used to in terms of what you’ve been listening to. Thus, it is necessary for me to have more love,” he explained to me.
