GloRilla has been teasing us on social media for quite some time now, and she has come through with her remix of Latto’s hit from April, “Put It On Da Floor.” The Memphis rapper gets a kick out of the banger, which was mixed and mastered by Ben Hogarth and Go Grizzly, as she boasts of her accomplishments and sends strong messages to her many detractors.
Taking the clip for the song “Put It On Da Floor (GloMix)” from Samuel Finley, the clip features GloRilla enjoying a luxurious residence with her friends, as well as a scene from the video. It is a brilliant video that shows the group flexing their muscles with stacks of money and jewelry, breaking into dance moves, and driving matching Corvettes across the city.
There has been a lot buzz around GloRilla since she released her debut EP, Anyways, Life’s Great… in 2022, making it one of her first official releases under Yo Gotti’s Collective Music Group label. It was such a remarkable project from Niki Pooh, Cardi B, and Hitkidd that it debuted at No. 5 on Billboard’s list of Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, which is the biggest ranking in the country. Within a few months of its original release, the “Tomorrow” star took the music world by storm with Anyways, Life’s Great…Bonusus Edition, which included viral favorites such as “PHATNALL” and “Nut Quick.”
As part of the XXL Freshman class for 2023, GloRilla joined Finesse2 Times, Luh Tyler, Lola Brooke, Central Cee, Rob49, and others on Wednesday (June 21). There’s no doubt that the achievement will serve as an appetizer for new music to come out in the weeks and months to come.
A new single from GloRilla was released on Tuesday (May 23), entitled “Lick Or Sum,” a remix of Juicy J’s “Slob on My Knob” that is just as tough and hard-hitting as the original.
“Lick Or Sum” also features a visual provided by Chris Villa. With a twerking routine that matches the song’s energy, GloRilla and her crew are seen in various locations demonstrating their best twerking skills.
GloRilla debuted her debut EP back in November of 2022, titled Anyways, Life’s Great, and it was also the first official release GloRilla released because she was now part of Yo Gotti Collective Creative Agency. In addition to the nine songs that were part of that project, additional features such as those from Niki Pooh, Cardi B, and Hitkidd, made the album become the fifth most-streamed R&B/Hip-Hop album on Billboard’s chart. As a follow-up to the release of Anyways, Life’s Great…Bonus Edition in January, the “Tomorrow” artist has released a follow-up album. He added viral cuts like “PHATNALL” and “Nut Quick.”
A few weeks ago, GloRilla was interviewed for the show “Big Facts” and she spoke about the love and support she has received from her fans so far. “People seem to be able to relate to me because I am not changing at all,” she stated. “ Since I am from the neighborhood, I am able to relate to a lot of people, including those who are not from the neighborhood. While I have received a greater amount of love, I have also experienced a substantial amount of hate. My intention is to love people… I have never harbored a hating spirit because I know it is always a matter of timing.”
The record label and management outlet behind the LVRN empire, Love Renaissance, has recently announced the release of the second installment of their series, Home For The Holidays, which is scheduled to be released in Mid-November. With the remix comp this time around, 11 songs were included. Contributions were provided by such names as Alex Vaughn, dvsn, Westside Boogie, DRAM, OMB Bloodbath, Baby Tate, and more.

The release of SZA debut studio album Ctrl, five years ago this week, marks a milestone. 14 tracks were included on the album, including collaborations with none other than Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, Isaiah Rashad, and James Fauntleroy. SZA and Top Dawg Entertainment were able to achieve significant critical and commercial success with the project. This included landing SZA at number three on the Billboard 200 before her music spent an incredible 260 weeks atop that chart. Over the years, the project has also been certified double Platinum and released classic singles including “The Weekend,” “Love Galore,” and “Broken Clocks.”
SZA and TDE announced that they will upgrade Ctrl’s fifth anniversary with a deluxe upgrade. This upgrade includes seven additional songs recorded between 2014 and 2017, as the singer revealed at the time. Among the seven songs is an alternative version of “Love Galore” which includes a new verse by singer SZA, adding to the song’s original theme of regret about love gone by:
In the months since the release of Ctrl, SZA has teased a forthcoming album through loose tracks such as “Passport,” “Hit Different,” “Good Days,” “Nightbird,” “Joni,” and “I Hate U.” Additionally, she contributed music to a series of big moments in entertainment, including Lamar’s score to Black Panther, as well as collaborations with DJ Khaled, Cardi B, Justin Timberlake, Post Malone, and Megan Thee Stallion.
