In a surprise announcement today (June 23), Young Thug unveils his latest album, BUSINESS IS BUSINESS. On top of those 15 tracks, the album features more than a dozen other features, such as Drake, 21 Savage, Future, Travis Scott, Lil Uzi Vert, and more. Additionally, Metro Boomin has been credited with the role of executive producer on the project.
“Parade on Cleveland,” the project’s opening song, contains a phone conversation between Drake and the artist responsible for the hit single “Best Friend,” with the latter in high spirits throughout the call. “There’s nothing I’m doing, man; I’m just pushing more Peter, and I’m pushing it much sweeter, much better than any other Peter pusher around, so do you hear me, this is what I’m saying to my Canadian counterpart, you can’t hear me.\
This album lands on the scene during Thugger’s ongoing legal battle – a battle that stems from a RICO charge that Thugger and a handful of other members of the group Young Stoner Life (YSL) have been charged with. There have been some members of this group, including longtime collaborator Gunna, who have since been released following plea deals they made. As of last Friday (16 June), Gunna, who is known for all the words he uses to describe his music, has released his newest project titled A Gift & a Curse, where he provides his perspective on these issues.
While Young Thug has been back in jail for more than a year, he has remained on the radar from a musical perspective despite his time in prison. In the years before Young Thug was introduced to the world of BUSINESS IS BUSINESS, he appeared on popular songs such as Calvin Harris “Potion,” Lil Baby “Never Hating,” Killer Mike “RUN,” G Herbo “Breathe Slow,” Quavo and Takeoff “Chocolate,” and Rae Sremmurd “Royal Flush.” Accordingly, in July 2022, the Atlanta star sent an audio message to HOT 97 during the festival of Summer Jam on.
“I would just like to take this opportunity to thank all my friends and family for coming out and supporting us on this day,” he said. YSL and I are not the only ones affected by this. Throughout my career, I have used music to express myself artistically, and I now realize that Black artists and rappers are not allowed to do so. Everyone is kindly requested to sign the petition in support of Protect Black Art and to continue to pray for us. All of you are dear to me.”

It wasn’t long ago that Wiz Khalifa released his most recent single “See Ya” and there was a lot of buzz surrounding it. The project featured 25 cuts and credited contributions from Lil Vada, Young Deji, and Chevy Woods. Earlier this week, the Taylor Gang head honcho shared a new visual from his upcoming project to be released later this summer, called “Referral.” Composed by Quadwoofer Bangz, the bass-heavy song is an excellent fit for Wiz’s bars filled with commentary about money, women, and marijuana.
Amidst the visuals, viewers are able to catch Wiz Khalifa performing in his element, taking part in a smoke session inside the studio, directed by Braden Walker. Additionally, he has been seen driving his white Rolls-Royce around an open parking lot where he is showing off the vehicle. The short clip concludes with the same positive message as the music video “Close Frame,” which can be heard at the end of the clip. “Hey, what’s up, Wiz Khalifa here. He remarks, “We’re back.”. “ Our plan is to stay here, to stay here for a while. It is something that you cannot do anything about. See you!”
In 2022, Wiz released the 17-song Multiverse, which was Wiz’s latest full-length album. This album featured contributions from TM88, THEY., Hitmaka, Scott Storch, Fridayy, and more. The deluxe edition of Multiverse was released months later and came with three additional tracks over the standard edition. As part of that same project, Wiz again teamed up with past collaborators like Big K.R.I.T., Girl Talk, and Smoke DZA to put together their project Full Court Press, which features 10 dope tracks and appearances from Nile Rodgers and Curren$y.

It was just a short time ago that Doe Boy took the world by storm with the release of his new project, BEEZY, a 16-track collection featuring Lil Yachty, Babyface Ray, Don Toliver, Future, EST Gee, Lola Brooke, DaBaby, and more. Earlier this week (June 20), the Cleveland star released the video for the single “RHUDE BOY,” which serves as the lead track off the upcoming project. Doe Boy’s self-described hard-hitting subject matter finds the perfect environment for the BWheezy-produced cut’s setting as it borrows inspiration not only from Shyne’s ‘Bad Boyz’, but also Grace Jones’ ‘Nightclubbing’, that, in turn, creates a syncopated environment ideal for the hard-hitting beat.
A clip accompanying the video has been directed by Fast Life Productions and takes the viewer on a journey to South Jamaica, Queens. In that country, Doe Boy spends time enjoying street food and tequila with his crew at a variety of locations while enjoying street food and tequila from DeLeón Tequila.
A few years ago, the Freebandz general was interviewed for a series of studio sessions, and in his response, he described his ideal setting for creating music. “If there is liquor present, it’s a party. He stated that all he needed was that. “Also, I enjoy being by myself a lot. It is my preference that I be alone with my engineer, myself, and maybe one other person at a time. It means that I do not have to worry about how anyone will react to what I have to say, and that I can concentrate on what I want to say instead. That’s when I will be singing songs that are deep and tapping into what I’m feeling.”
