It has been a busy few months for Morray as he has released a number of tracks, such as the Southside-produced “Momma’s Love,” “Ticket,” “Still Here” in collaboration with Cordae, and the most recent, “Broken Vows.” It would appear Morray is wrapping up the year with his final release, “Da Rant,” a bar-heavy track that examines his life experiences. In addition, Shawn White directed the accompanying video, which shows an in-depth look at the creative process and shows everything from the studio lighting to the stage lighting, and captured everything the video goes through during the production process. His song, which was recorded later this year, is an open ode to his hard-working upbringing as well as to his future plans:
Morray’s most recent project (a 13-track collection of work) was released in April of last year and featured a number of hits, including his breakout single, “Quicksand.” In addition, at the beginning of the year, the rapper made his debut appearance at the Grammys and for that performance, he was nominated for both Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance, both for the song he performed on J. Cole’s “m y l i f e” with 21 Savage. Furthermore, he would join the ranks of Pooh Shiesty, Toosii, 42 Dugg, Coi Leray, Flo Milli, and Blxst as part of the XXL Freshman Class of that year.
During an interview with the duo behind “Switched Up,” the “Switched Up” artist discusses how significant it is not to become complacent. It is my firm belief that the results you will receive will be far from the only things to be gained from this experience. It is not sufficient to stay here and think that is sufficient. As for me, I’m better than everything you have seen so far, and I intend to demonstrate this to you. When the album and videos are released, you’re going to realize that Morray is much better than what you’re already used to in terms of what you’ve been listening to. Thus, it is necessary for me to have more love,” he explained to me.
Juice WRLD fans have already been treated to a number of singles this year, including “Bye Bye” with Marshmello and “In My Head.” A brand new music video from Grade A Films was released today (Dec. 15) for a track entitled “Face 2 Face.” Steve Cannon directed and edited the cinematic video, which is an artistic rendition of the experience of sleep paralysis. In the track, Juice WRLD describes his most intimate thoughts during a severe episode:
An explanation of sleep paralysis is shown at the end of the video clip in order to provide additional context. When falling asleep, one is temporarily unable to move or speak. As these episodes consist of troubling hallucinations and a sensation of suffocation, the individuals remain conscious throughout, despite experiencing troubling hallucinations.
Earlier this year, Juice WRLD fans got a chance to enjoy his second posthumous release and his fourth studio album Fighting Demons, which was released back in December. There are 18 tracks in total on the album, with featured artists including Justin Bieber, Polo G, Trippie Redd, and BTS member Suga. Due to the fact that 119,000 equivalent album-equivalents were sold in the first week of release, the project has secured the No. 2 spot on the Billboard 200 chart. In later months, the album’s official deluxe upgrade was released, which added five new tracks to the original album.

In a subsequent release, he released the extended edition, which included six additional songs by 42 Dugg, Babyface Ray, Lil Durk, Lil Baby, and Young Scooter.
According to a recent announcement by the rapper behind “sMarch Madness,” he will be hitting the road in early 2023 in support of his “One Big Party Tour.” The tour is set to begin on Jan. 7 in Houston, and will conclude on Jan. 27 in Boston, before heading to all the cities in between. According to Future in his recent interview with Billboard, he said he no longer had to worry about any competition. This is because he has been able to find his own path and become successful. I don’t think anyone needs to be like me… just the way I am. As a matter of fact, I am capable of doing this,” he said. “You know, the only person around who can do this crap is me, right? Do you understand what I’m saying? Musically, that’s my personal life. In truth, I am the only one of none. This is a way of life I can live. As a result, people accept it because it’s just me.”
As part of the Drive In Theatre Part 2 project, Currensy released his latest body of work earlier this year. This included 21 songs and was accompanied by contributions from such artists as Rob49, Jade Angelle, Dash, Premo Rice, Fendi P, URA, and more. A few days ago, the New Orleans veteran announced on Twitter that he would be releasing a music visual for a song he had written to accompany said album called “Drive This Car,” A DJ Fresh-produced track featuring bars that convey the carefree lifestyle of Jet Life’s head honcho:
During the accompanying music video for “Drive This Car,” Currensy can be seen enjoying a drink at home, which is prefaced with a shot of him enjoying a drink. In addition to driving through New Orleans in a Corvette with a woman, they can also be seen in a car driven by a woman.
According to the rapper himself, 2022 is expected to be a productive year for him as well, following in the footsteps of previous years. There were also a lot of dope releases for fans in addition to The Drive in Theatre Part 2. These awesome releases included Continuance as part of The Alchemist and Spring Clean 2 being released under Fuse. There were also some tracks in which Currensy contributed his own special brand of bars, including Girl Talk, Wiz Khalifa, Big K.R.I.T., and Logic “Clouds,” G Perico “Bacc 2 The Blocc,” Guapdad 4000 “Pose,” Smoke DZA “Everyday,” Larry June “5.0 Chronicles,” EARTHGANG “SMOKE SUM (Remix),” and Hit-Boy “Tony Fontana III.”
Leon Thomas released his latest album (Dec. 12), “Breaking Point.” It is also worth noting that the new release was co-produced by Coleman and Don Mills, and has also been included in the latest Beats By Dre advertisement starring NBA legend LeBron James and his son Bronny James. Throughout the song, the Grammy-nominated artist sings about trying his best to salvage a fading relationship:
“Breaking Point” takes us back to Thomas’ previous single, “Love Jones” from earlier this year, a collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign. Aside from his own releases, Leon Thomas is also featured on a number of recent releases, such as “Lord Knows” by Steelo and “to get home” by Phony Ppl.
According to a previous interview with the Brooklyn-born artist Leon Thomas, in terms of success he puts a lot more emphasis on impact over tangible accolades, and in the past he has shared this view with a variety of media outlets. “My definition of success is being able to actually be able to reach genuine connections with people who care about music as much as I do,” he told us. “It’s true that numbers look positive, and we strive for constant improvement, but I feel that it takes a very long time to develop a brand that really breaks with the old models, which have been around for a very long time. It’s been a very relaxing and patient few weeks for me, and now I am ready to proceed brick by brick.”
