“Breaking Point” is one of Leon Thomas’s most vulnerable singles yet

Leon Thomas released his latest album (Dec. 12), “Breaking Point.” It is also worth noting that the new release was co-produced by Coleman and Don Mills, and has also been included in the latest Beats By Dre advertisement starring NBA legend LeBron James and his son Bronny James. Throughout the song, the Grammy-nominated artist sings about trying his best to salvage a fading relationship:

“Breaking Point” takes us back to Thomas’ previous single, “Love Jones” from earlier this year, a collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign. Aside from his own releases, Leon Thomas is also featured on a number of recent releases, such as “Lord Knows” by Steelo and “to get home” by Phony Ppl.

According to a previous interview with the Brooklyn-born artist Leon Thomas, in terms of success he puts a lot more emphasis on impact over tangible accolades, and in the past he has shared this view with a variety of media outlets. “My definition of success is being able to actually be able to reach genuine connections with people who care about music as much as I do,” he told us. “It’s true that numbers look positive, and we strive for constant improvement, but I feel that it takes a very long time to develop a brand that really breaks with the old models, which have been around for a very long time. It’s been a very relaxing and patient few weeks for me, and now I am ready to proceed brick by brick.”

Sevyn Streeter performs “The Christmas Song” in her own rendition.

Sevyn Streeter performs “The Christmas Song” in her own rendition.

There is just a few days left until Christmas. Sevyn Streeter and many artists are sending out holiday songs and projects to help get people into the holiday spirit by sharing their holiday music. In an effort to get in on the holiday spirit, Sevyn Streeter was kind enough to unveil her take on Nat King Cole’s beloved classic from years ago, “The Christmas Song.” While the songstress delivers the lyrics to the original tune, she adds her own special twist to the instrumental to make it her own:

There was an album by Sevyn Streeter named Drunken Wordz Sober Thoughtz that was released back in 2021. There were 15 tracks on the EP, as well as appearances by names such as BIA, Dominic Scott, A$AP Ferg, Chris Brown, and Lucky Daye. Then, a short while after, she released a deluxe version of her album, which added five new tracks to the original album.

It was my pleasure to catch up with the singer of “Before I Do” who was in attendance at the 2022 Summit x AT&T last month, during which she shared her most valuable advice for the aspiring artists who attend events such as these. “Be who you are. Enjoy your time. Don’t confine yourself to a single type of thinking,” she said to me. As far as I’m concerned, this is the most significant piece of advice that I would give an aspiring artist at this time. An idea is always a sign that you have a purpose for creating it. Don’t let anyone stop you from being creative, and do not let anything stop you from creating.”

New track “Cheating (Freestyle)” has been released by Jay Critch

New track “Cheating (Freestyle)” has been released by Jay Critch

There has been no shortage of tracks released by Jay Critch in 2022, as the rapper has been consistently serving fans with a steady stream of loose favorites, including “Sade,” “Close To Me / Active,” “Anyday,” “Lefty,” “At My Worst” that features Rich The Kid, as well as the most recent, “Up All Night.” On the weekend, Jay Critch added to his growing list with the release of his latest drop, “Cheating (Freestyle).” Over a bass-driven instrumental, he raps about staying real, no matter what:

Last year, “Dreams In A Wraith” rapper Fivio Foreign released Critch Tape, a 23-track LP featuring Lil Tjay, Fivio Foreign, and Drakeo The Ruler. He has consistently maintained his fan base with a number of releases over the past few years, which include “Click It,” “Spin No Blocks,” “Stamped,” “Deadline” that features Prince Swanny, “Gifted,” as well as his collaborative effort with Harry Fraud, “Born With It.”

Jay Critch revealed in a recent interview that he is a man of many words. However, he is one of the most valuable and reliable people to get advice from, regardless of where they come from in their career. “When it comes to Fab, I consider him my big brother,” he explained. “I will follow Fab and French Montana’s example when I become an OG in the game. They both get along well with young artists. They show love to young artists and they’re always there to be a big brother in this. The moment I met Fab, he showed me love, and I always appreciated that. Basically, what I have learned from them has been how to move in and out of s**t.”

Chlöe releases a new rendition of “Surprise” in an acoustic format

Chlöe releases a new rendition of “Surprise” in an acoustic format

Chlöe released the sultry track “Surprise” in June. The song was written and produced by iLLA and Scott Storch. The singer released a live acoustic performance of the song on VEVO yesterday (Dec. 7), following up on her previous performance of “For The Night.” A sole guitarist assists in the freshly recorded rendition, which sees the Georgia-born songstress express her passion for an intimate night with her lover:

Since the beginning of the year, Chlöe has delivered a number of strong productions, including “Treat Me,” “For The Night,” and “Freak Like Me.” In September of this year, she released her first solo single, “Have Mercy,” a powerful track that she worked on alongside FNZ, BoogzDaBeast, Joseph L’Étranger, and Murda Beatz. Ungodly Hour is her second album with her younger sister Halle. It was her last full-length album before this one, and it is her last work to date. It was a 13-track project featuring contributions from such artists as Swae Lee and Mike WiLL make-It among others.

In a recent interview with ET, Chlöe spoke up about how critical comments can sometimes irritate her. However, she also works hard to make sure she doesn’t let them affect the quality of her work. “Being in this position is a weird experience, because as a human being it hurts when we hear certain things. In the same breath, it’s my job to do this,” she said. “So, it’s really up to me to set boundaries for myself in my mental state.”

A new single from Dende and Deante Hitchcock takes you down to “Georgia”

A new single from Dende and Deante Hitchcock takes you down to “Georgia”

It was last year when Dende released A Happy Man, a project that included contributions from Chris Patrick, Bairi, Stockz, Jon Swaii, and Lakeita Valon. Over the past few months, he has released loose tracks such as “Block Me,” “Round Trip To Atlanta,” and many others. On Friday (Dec. 7), this Texas-raised rapper dropped a brand new single titled “Georgia” which also recruited the help of Deante Hitchcock for the production. This song was written by Dende, and he takes care of the opening hook, and he sings about the key factors ensuring a smooth drive:

Recently, Dende shared with us about her not-so-typical life of pursuing a career as an artist, and the difficulties that are involved in pursuing a career in the arts. It is no secret that I am a full-time dreamer. As a musician, I have to be dreaming in order to be successful in making music or to accomplish anything hard in life. The life I lead is not a regular one. I don’t want to say that it is normal at all, but it does not mean that you just fly somewhere after two days notice and say, “Well, alright, I’m planning to do a bunch of things to maybe get me a little bit closer to achieving my dream.” Most of my friends have jobs, and I think that they are confused about what we are doing. I feel like a large portion of my days are spent daydreaming.”

A deluxe edition of Hitchcock’s BETTER album was released last year. Among the guests on the original recording were Miguel, Young Nudy, JID, 6LACK, and St. Beauty. Upon returning to the project, Hitchcock released a two-disc version (20 tracks in total) featuring additional contributions from Jaelspeaks, Reason, Ro James, Kenny Mason, and Guapdad 4000.
