A joint project between Conway The Machine and Jae Skeese will be released on Drumwork Music Group’s label on Friday (March 10). In collaboration with Skeese, the first signee to his imprint, the two will release Pain Provided Profit. In the past, the two artists have collaborated frequently on fan-favorite tracks, including “Crack In The Nineties,” “Blood Roses,” and “Stefon Diggs.” On Saturday (March 3), it was announced that the pair is dropping the first preview of Pain Provided Profit with a new single called “Metallic 5’s.” Throughout the song, Conway The Machine gives a shoutout to his protégé: “It was awesome seeing the way you grow…”

The last time the La Maquina rapper Conway The Machine recorded a solo album was in 2022 with his second album as a solo artist, God Don’t Make Mistakes, a 12-song project that was assisted by artists such as Jill Scott, Westside Gunn, Benny the Butcher, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, T.I., Novel, Beanie Sigel, and more. As of late, it seems that he has been dropping off a few guest verses on recent tracks such as “Red Death” featuring Westside Gunn,” “Saltwater” featuring Black Thought and Danger Mouse, and more.
