Tiana Major9 drops new visual for “Think About You (Notion Mix)”

The clue can be found in the new release “At Sixes And Sevens”.

Earlier this month, Tiana Major9 revealed her new project At Sixes And Sevens, which contains nine new tracks from the British singer, including “Collide,” her collaboration with EARTHGANG that made it onto the Queen & Slim soundtrack. This week, she released a new look for the featured project “Think About You (Notion Mix),” a slightly altered version of a single Major9 released in April. The cut produced by WAVSDNTDIE and Benny Cassette is a beautiful dancehall vibe that sees Major9 singing his heart out to a certain love interest:

“I need more hours in the day, I always seem to run out of time, when I think about you, I could be doing other things/

But you’re all that’s on my mind, when I’m not around you, and this would sound so cute, sound so sweet/

If you felt the same way ‘bout me, but this love is unrequited, and I’ve tried to fight it, you’re not a want, you’re a need…/

The accompanying black and white clip is courtesy of Rik Burnell and makes things simple with Tiana Major9 performing the cut in her element, whether in a warehouse, in front of a sound system, or somewhere on the streets of London. Her whining is as contagious as the music he dances to.

At Sixes And Sevens follows last year’s Rehearsal @ NINE EP, which had six tracks, as well as earlier singles like the jazzy track “Merry Go,” a testament to her own name, revealing her love for the major ninth chord. Speaking to Billboard, Tiana Major9 spoke about how it feels to have acquired her contract with Motown Records, the outlet where At Sixes And Sevens was released:

“It can be a bit scary because I went from being independent to signed [to a major label]. I’m still adjusting. It feels great.”

“WAP” Success, Cardi B is already planning her next move

Though her album isn’t ready, Cardi B fans can expect a single

Unfortunate news Cardi B fans waiting for a new album – you won’t see one in the near future!

The rapper spoke about her new single and her upcoming music when she made a virtual appearance at Angie Martinez’s summer barbecue.

“I’m already plotting my next move,” she said. “I have other projects coming out that doesn’t involve music, but when it comes to music I think I’m going to put out another single.”

Although Cardi stated that she is currently working on her next album, she also added that she is not in a hurry to release it as the Coronavirus has slowed her show.
Due to the onset of the pandemic, concerts and festivals have been pushed to 2021 and several venues suffered closures due to lost business. Venues that have reopened enforce safety regulations and social distancing rules.

Many artists have turned to virtual concerts to enthrall fans with their music. However, Cardi prefers in-person interaction, even with her press releases.

“I don’t have my album ready yet. But even when I feel I have my album ready, I’m still debating when I should put out an album too,” Cardi said. “I want to do real fuckin’ interviews. I want to see people and sit down. I want to tour. I want to do parties, go to the club and shake my ass to my own music.”

Though the pandemic has prevented her from engaging with fans in person, she made sure that it won’t affect all her plans.

Before filming the video for “WAP,” she expended $ 100,000 to make sure that everyone working on the set was tested for the virus.

The debut album of Cardi, Invasion of Privacy, was released in April 2018, a couple months prior to the birth of her daughter Kulture. She is yet to tour for the album.

“We are terrified,” LeBron James Responds to Jacob Blake’s Shooting

“We are scared, as Black people in America… Black men, Black women, Black kids,” James said.

Yesterday, LeBron James addressed the police shooting of Jacob Blake, 29, a Black man and father of three, at a press conference. He was shot by police officers in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Blake is currently in an intensive care unit, recovering from surgery. The police officers who were involved in the shooting are now on administrative leave.

Initially, James took to Twitter to respond to the video of Blake being shot.

“And y’all wonder why we say what we say about the Police!! Someone please tell me WTF is this???!!!. Exactly another black man being targeted,” the ace basketballer had written. “This sh*t is so wrong and so sad!! Feel so sorry for him, his family and OUR PEOPLE!! We want JUSTICE.”

He further spoke about the issue at the press conference, questioning why police offers did not attempt to deescalate the issue with Blake.

“And if that video was not being taken by someone across the street, do we even know if we’d ever see that video?” he asked. “There’s talks that the cops didn’t even have their body cams on. That’s a possibility.”

“We see it over, and over, and over. If you watch the video, there was multiple moments where they could have tackled him,” James stated in the press conference. “They could’ve grabbed him. They could have done that. Why does it always have to get to a point where we see the guns firing? And his family’s there; the kids are there. It’s in broad daylight.”

James has been a strong proponent of the Black Lives Matter movement and has used his position to initiate a discourse about racial inequality and police brutality. Veru recently, he vehemently sought justice for Breonna Taylor, Na’Kia Crawford and worked against voter oppression.

In the candid press conference, he said: “Quite frankly, it’s just fu*ked up. I know people get tired of hearing me say it, but we are scared — as Black people in America. Black men, Black women, Black kids. We are terrified, ‘cause you don’t know. You have no idea how that cop, that day, left the house.”

“You don’t know if he woke up on the good side of the bed; you don’t know if he woke up on the wrong side of the bed… Maybe he left the house saying, ‘Today is gonna be the end for one of these Black people.’”

“That’s what it feels like. It hurts,” James said, as he became emotional while addressing this issue that is so close to his heart. “And it’s just through the grace of God that he’s still living.”

Bun B speaks out in support of Megan Thee Stallion

“If somebody would’ve done something to Megan in this city, we would’ve rolled,” said the Houston legend on Instagram Live.

On Friday (August 21), Megan Thee Stallion revealed that it was Tory Lanez who shot her in the feet more than a month ago. Now, Bun B, a Houston native, has voiced her support. The UGK legend took to Instagram Live on Monday (Aug 24) to address Megan’s recent confession.

“Fu*k Tory Lanez,” Bun B began. “I’m from Houston and if somebody would’ve done something to Megan in this city, we would’ve rolled.”

“Megan in L.A. by herself,” he continued. “She ain’t got a mama no more; her mama’s gone. Her daddy’s gone. Her grandmother is gone. All the people that loved her and cared about her unconditionally — that looked out for her and would’ve protected her — ain’t there. So, as an O.G. in Houston, I’m standing up.”

Bun B also denounced Lanez and his supporters.

“I know Tory. I know his manager, I know all of ‘em. Fu*k all that, though,” he continued. “If the man on drugs, get him some goddamn rehab. If the man got mental health issues, get him some therapy. But he’s not just gon’ sit here and shoot this girl, and we not say nothin.”

“This is not real ni**a sh*t,” Bun added. “Anytime a man hurts a woman, that’s obsession. That ain’t love.”

The Trill OG craftsman also spoke about Megan’s decision to protect Lanez waiting until now to name him as her shooter. During her Instagram Live session, Megan confessed that she did not tell police that Lanez had shot her, fearing that dealing with the police could endanger Lanez’s life.

“This is why Black woman are so hesitant to speak against Black men, because Black women know how the legal system will treat Black men, they know how white America will treat Black men,” Bun B said.

“… Nobody’s talking about [the shooting] because it’s a Black woman. We love Megan; we brag about Megan, [but] nobody wanna talk about it when she gets shot,” he added. “We got memes; we got jokes. Fu*k that.”

The clip stars Jordyn Woods and the González twins.

While the world of hip hop remains in mourning since the loss of Pop Smoke, his music lives on. This past July saw the release of Brooklyn rapper’s posthumous debut album Shoot for the Stars Aim for the Moon, as well as his deluxe version. Overall, the project features 34 healthy cuts and features from Quavo, Lil Baby, DaBaby, Swae Lee, Future, 50 Cent, Tyga, Fivio Foreign, and much more. Today, fans can see a new image from the “Mood Swings” project, which features Lil Tjay and sees the two collaborators rapping about women and wealth on the production of Kiwi, Dizzy Banko and The Beat Menace:

“Every time I f***, she call me daddy, my lil’ mama nasty, I see the p***y through the panties, she taste like candy, she a queen, like Nefertiti, uh oh, my lil’ mama sittin’ pretty/

And we be shoppin’ through the city, I gave her keys to the Bentley, get off your knees, you don’t gotta cry to me, I’m your best friend, baby, you don’t gotta lie…/”

While there are no images of Pop Smoke or Lil Tjay in the Oliver Cannon-directed clip, viewers can see appearances by Jordyn Woods and the Gonzalez twins. The women spend the clip’s runtime showing off their curves in bathing suits with other outfits, and at one point they can be seen rapping along the track in a room covered with a digital screen with a Lamborghini in the background. Simply put, this video is definitely a sight for sore eyes.

Previously, Pop Smoke released the commercial mixtapes Meet The Woo and Meet The Woo Vol. 2 in 2019 and last February, respectively, which have established the late artist as one of the most successful of the still evolving drill scene, from Brooklyn. It is truly unfortunate that the world was stolen from a talent that had infinite potential at only 20 years old.
