Barack Obama slams Donald Trump in his return to the campaign trail

As Barack Obama returned to his campaign trail to support Joe Biden and Kamala Harris on Wednesday (Oct. 21) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he did not mince words. The former President stated that Donald Trump has proven he is “incapable of taking the job seriously” and has not shown any interest in “helping anybody but himself and his friends.” He addressed Trump’s mishandling of the coronavirus, which is a key issue for the 2020 election. He also mocked Trump’s statement that there is “not much” he would change about America’s response to the virus, although more than 200,000 Americans have passed away because of COVID-19.

Shonda Rhimes spoke about the reason why she left ABC in 2017 to join Netflix. The producer stated that she was constantly engaged in battles with the network, which is owned by Disney. While she made a lot of money for the network and herself, they would consistently fight over the content, budget and even an ad that she and the stars of “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Scandal” and “How to Get Away With Murder” made for former presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton. She was provided with all-inclusive passes to Disneyland for herself and her nanny. However, she wanted another for her sister and asked for the same. The network kept stating that they don’t do this and finally gave in. When she did go to the park, the ticket did not work. When Rhimes called a “high-ranking executive,” they asked her, “Don’t you have enough?” Soon enough, she moved to Netflix.

Officer who beat Black man with knuckle-plated gloves found not guilty

Four years ago, a Canadian officer beat up a Black man with knuckle-plated gloves, but he is not convicted.

Tracey Owens, the owner of an Ottawa coffee shop, stated that she received complaints that Abdirahman Abdi was harassing her customers and hence, she called the cops. The customers restrained the Black man and carried him out before the police came. When they did come, they took Abdi to his apartment building and assaulted him, as his family tried to tell them that he dealt with mental health issues. While Officer Daniel Montsion punched Abdi with knuckle-plated gloves, Officer Dave Weir hit him with a baton. Abdi hasn’t taken his medication that day and lay in his own blood for ten minutes before he got help. The next day, he passed away because of brain hypoxia.
