IAMJOSHSTONE: Fury of the White Tiger

IAMJOSHSTONE: Fury of the White Tiger

I enter the lobby and request the room Josh Stone is recording at currently. The receptionist informs me he’s on the 12th floor in room Q4. As I take this long elevator ride, I’m playing his track “Real Vibez Only” in my F-Buds powered by Figgers Wireless and there’s a specific verse that’s stuck in my head. He says, “he won’t Post Malone it or fake up a gimmick, cause I feel like if Pac and BIG were here, they wouldn’t represent it, I wouldn’t 69 it just for the critic’s tattoo my face and hair and end up in prison”. That verse gave me a small mental snapshot into the mindset of Josh Stone. I walk into room Q4, and I feel like I’m on set of California Love with Tupac and Dr. Dre!!

Rick Ross and Diddy revive “Whatcha Gon’ Do?” with a new visual treatment

In the year of 2017, Diddy and Rick Ross teamed up with each other to release a joint single titled “Whatcha Gon’ Do?” the track, which was originally released across two different formats on OVO Sound Radio, also featured The Notorious B.I.G.’s verse from the LOX-assisted track “You’ll See.” As part of this release, a version was dedicated to Dr. Dre as well as Snoop Dogg “Nuthin’ But A ‘G’ Thang” by taking from Leon Haywood’s “I Want’a Do Something Freaky to You.”

In October of this year, Diddy released a revised version of the “Whatcha Gon’ Do?” video based on his verse from that very version, which was accompanied by an appearance by Yung Miami. In addition to the previous clip, the billionaire mogul did not stop partying yesterday, as he released another video featuring Rozay for a lyrical contribution:

The short film includes a short video where viewers are transported to South Florida in an old-school droptop and Diddy is seen riding around in it at two o’clock in the morning in a vehicle from the eighties, riding on the streets at two o’clock in the morning in an old-school droptop. The two of them will make their way to the liquor store to pick up some adult beverages before making their way down a flight of stairs where they will meet his Maybach Music counterpart.

Earlier this month, Diddy dropped his latest song, “Gotta Move On,” a playful collaboration with Bryson Tiller that quickly became a fan favorite. It was recorded by the Bad Boy icon and produced by producers such as Teddy Walton, Roark Bailey, J-Louis, RNSOM, and Slimwav, and turned into a chart-topping single which later on to become an EP of the same name which included remixes from Fabolous, Ashanti, Cool & Dre, and more.

‘Crip Ya Enthusiasm’ video drops from Snoop Dogg.

A couple of months ago, Snoop Dogg released his 19th studio album entitled BODR (Bacc On Death Row). This project included 18 tracks and contributions from artists such as Nas, Wiz Khalifa, T.I., Nate Dogg, DaBaby, The Game, Uncle Murda, and others. The legendary Long Beach emcee debuted yesterday (Oct. 16) a brand-new visual for “Crip Your Enthusiasm,” a DJ Green Lantern-produced track reminiscent of the theme song to Larry David-helmed series “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” Throughout the track, the Long Beach legend highlights why he is considered one of the best emcees of all time:

As an accompanying video for the song, “Crip Your Enthusiasm,” it was directed by Jesse Wellens and James Defina in which an older, animated version of Snoop is seen going about his daily routine. Watchers can see him enjoying a cigarette at a pool party, getting into a car accident with a police officer, and hanging out with Tupac Shakur throughout the four-minute video.

The rapper revealed a new album is in the works between Snoop and Dr. Dre, as he announced to Stephen A. Smith:

“In the past two months, Dr. Dre and I have been working on an album together. The project will be completed by November. We are celebrating our 30th anniversary at Doggystyle, and it is produced by Dr. Dre. The name of the project is Missionary.”
