A 22-year-old man was shot by a La Marque police officer on Wednesday (Dec. 9), following investigator’s claims that he was a person of interest and may have been associated with recent shootings in the area. According to the family of the man, the victim was Joshua Feast, a Black man, from La Marque, Texas.

A high school in Florida suspended a basketball game scheduled as two Black players in a team donned Black Lives Matter T-shirts. Jordana Codio and Khadee Hession, from American Heritage School, wore them during a warm up on Thursday (Dec. 10), following a racial post by a student during virtual class. The student, on the other hand, was not penalized.
Officers of Portland clashed with protesters, who decided to block the home of a Black family so they do not get evicted. More than 100 demonstrators circled around the home of Kinney. According to the footage, the barricades they made were created using wooden fences and other material as they held signs such as “Red House sovereignty” and “Evictions hurt everyone.”
It was on Thursday that it was revealed that Tommy Tiny Lister passed away, aged 62. An individual placed a call to 911 from his Marina Del Rey apartment, as he was found to be unresponsive a little before 3 p.m. PT. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Ice Cube paid a tribute to him on social media, by posting his picture as Deebo.
Although Nelly did not win this season’s Dancing With The Stars, a particular entity is making the most out of the rapper’s participation in the show. According to reports, Nelly will send forth the pair of shoes to The Teen Project, which works to provide “healing and hope to young women who have survived human trafficking and homelessness” and it will be auctioned. The organization will receive at least 10 pairs of shoes from the rapper and it is expected that they will sell for $50,000.
