A new single from Ciara and Coast Contra is called “JUMP”

Having released her seventh studio album Beauty Marks three years ago, Ciara’s seventh recording features contributions from Macklemore, Kelly Rowland, and Tekno. Over the past few years, she has released loose cuts such as “Melanin” by City Girls, LaLa, Lupita Nyong’o and Dean, and “Rooted” featuring Ester Dean. Also, she has contributed her talents to the likes of Maverick City Music and Summer Walker.

Ciara returns with “JUMP” upon the release of Coast Contra’s debut album. It shouldn’t take long for “JUMP” to get your dance shoes moving on the dance floor: it’s produced by Sean Small and Sam Sumser.

In recent news, Coast Contra, which includes Ras and Taj, twin sons of Ras Kass and Teedra Moses, has been gaining traction over the past year or so by releasing singles such as “Pimpin’ Benjamin,” “AF1,” “My Lady,” “Explicit” “Intentional,” and “Legacy.” In May, the duo released a freestyle featuring JID‘s “Never” instrumental that can now be found on streaming platforms for fans to enjoy.

With ‘Death Row Summer 2022,’ Snoop Dogg kicks off the season

Snoop Dogg released a compilation over the weekend entitled Death Row Summer 2022. A playlist that’s appropriate for the summer months. It’s an interesting mix of music. The album comprises 15 tracks and features contributions from The Eastsidaz, Tha Dogg Pound, Butch Cassidy, Raphael Saadiq, LaToiya Williams, Miguel, and more.

Along with the release of the full-length album, Snoop has also released the visuals for the lead track, “Whoopty Whoop,” which features Tha Dogg Pound members Kurupt and Daz Dillinger rapping about people saying nonsense and how they stay on top of their game:

Tha Dogg Pound and their crew can be spotted in the above video strolling along and performing at what appears to be a convention. In addition to their rhymes, they can be seen performing in front of murals of Warren G, Snoop, and the late Nate Dogg.

In March, Tha Dogg Pound announced their resignation from the legendary Death Row Records label, which Snoop had acquired from MNRK Music Group just a month earlier. He also revealed that the sequel to Tha Dogg Pound’s classic 1995 debut album is on its way in a removed Instagram video:

“Kurupt and Daz, we are back with the Dogg on The Row. Here’s some exciting news for all of you coming up. We have formulated a plan, and we are working on it. Dog Food 2 is coming, it’s Kurupt, Daz, Snoopy hitting ’em real heavy with that.”

“Candydrip” is the new album from Lucky Daye

The highly anticipated Candydrip album from Lucky Daye launches today (Mar. 10). With Candydrip, Daye explores a new definition of modern R&B through a conceptual Sci-Fi world influenced by Afrofuturism and produced by longtime collaborator D’Mile. With this 17-track album, Lucky ushered in a new era, and he enlisted helps from peers like Lil Durk, Smino, and Chiiild along the way.

As with Painted, Candydrip continues to introduce a sensory experience, but this time it is centered more on taste. He says Candydrip focuses largely on flavors. Compared to Painted, which focused on colors. There are a lot of different types of songs on this album, providing fans with ear candy in many different manners.” Prior to the release of the complete album, fans were able to enjoy singles such as “NWA” featuring Lil Durk and “Over.”

Lucky Daye’s new album follows his recent debut album Painted, which featured 13 tracks and largely was produced by D’Mile. Additionally, the following year the music video for Painted was released as a deluxe edition, featuring six new tracks and features from Chronixx, MediSun, Victoria Monét, and Babyface. Daye continued to maintain his momentum with the release of Table For Two, an innovative, Valentine’s Day-ready EP featuring collaborations with Queen Naija, YEBBA, Mahalia, Tiana Major9, Ari Lennox, and Joyce Wrice.

Further exciting news is that Lucky Daye will be embarking on a North American tour this spring, beginning March 18 in Portland, Oregon. Los Angeles, Atlanta, Chicago, and New York City will feature on the tour before concluding on April 25th at Terminal 5.

The Table For Two EP that Daye is nominated for is also nominated for two 2022 GRAMMYs in the categories of Best Traditional R&B Performance and Best Progressive R&B Album.
