In his ongoing efforts to put a stamp on Takeoff’s legacy, Quavo continues to lift up the legacy of Takeoff as he nears the release of his sophomore solo album, Rocket Power. As some fans have been looking forward to a follow-up to Quavo Huncho, the up-and-coming project is expected to drop sometime this summer.
In an interview with Insider published earlier this week, Quavo confirmed the album was dedicated to Takeoff. “As far as i am concerned, I am fueled by The Rocket,” he told XXL in an interview with the publication on April 5th, referring to the late rapper’s nicknameThe release date for this project has not been disclosed at this time. My apologies, but I am certain that hip-hop fans are still struggling with the loss of Takeoff in such a tragic manner. As a matter of fact, only five months have passed since the Migos group member lost his life in a shooting during a private party in Houston, Texas, which left others injured as well.
Quavo released a heartfelt tribute to the 28-year-old rapper following a memorial service for the artist. In it, The Last Rocket emcee was referred to as the angel of his life due to the way he treated him. It wasn’t until January that the lyricist further expressed his heartbreak through his tune, “Without You.”
The 32-year-old is not only paying homage to a late cultural trendsetter by making music, but he is doing it in countless other ways as well. During the Grammy Awards in February, Quavo returned to the stage to perform for the first time since the tragic passing of Takeoff at the Grammy Awards. There was a noticeable difference in his appearance, as he wore a mask that covered part of his right side of the face with the left part showing. As it turned out, that was also a nod to his nephew, as it turned out to be another nod to him.
“The loss of my other half symbolizes the loss of my whole. I want my performance to be a reminder of his presence with me in every way,” he explained. On the latest release from Huncho, “Honey Bun,” he mentions the mask throughout the song when he raps, “I don’t know how you can come outside without your mask on? / It’s because they want to see my emotions, I am not smiling at all.”
While he has become less inclined to smile these days, it was evident that he was delighted to be able to join his Praise This castmates for the world premiere on April 3 in Atlanta, Georgia. The movie, which is currently available on Peacock, is a feature film in which he plays Ty, one of the love interests of Chloë Bailey’s character, Sam.

There was a new single drop by Drake back in March, which was premiered on his SiriusXM radio station Sound 42. This track is titled “Search & Rescue,” was produced by Sad Pony, BNYX, as well as 40, and features a sample of the audio from “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” that contains audio from Kim Kardashian’s highly publicized divorce. Regarding the overall subject matter of Drake’s song, it can be heard that he is harmonizing about what he thinks would make a good relationship.
Streaming of “Search & Rescue” on all major streaming platforms becomes official today (April 7). Considering that other songs have emerged over the past few months, it would be safe to say that there will be plenty more to come, such as a full-length album to enjoy in the near future.
As June 2022 drew to a close, Drake surprised the world with the release of his 7th studio album, Honestly, Nevermind. During this time, the Canadian icon began exploring more electronic sounds with his music. Besides 21 Savage contributing a single feature to the record, decorated producers including Black Coffee, &ME, Gordo, and Alex Lustig have also contributed to this genre-bending record. Due to 204,000 album-equivalent units sold in the first week of the album’s release, Honestly, Nevermind became Drake’s 11th No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. As it turned out a few months later, he would reunite with 21 for the release of Her Loss, another chart-topper that featured tracks from Birdman, Travis Scott, Young Nudy, Lil Yachty, Elijah Fox, and “Big Facts” host Big Bank.

As you may remember, Kash Doll teamed up with DJ Drama back in February to release Back On Dexter: A Gangsta Grillz collection of 11 tracks, in addition to which there were features from Babyface Ray, Peezy, Sada Baby, Icewear Vezzo, Lakeyah, YN Jay, and more. It was on Wednesday (April 5) that the Detroit emcee dropped a new video, entitled “LEGIT,” which was produced by Joseph McFashion and Dooder and features Payroll Giovanni, a fellow hometown hero of the Detroit emcee. A track on the album sees the artists representing their city while flaunting the wealth and success they have earned through hard labor.
In an accompanying clip for the song, Kash Doll and Giovanni are shown living life to the fullest in a bank, a restaurant, and a nightclub in the clip for “LEGIT.” This can be observed while authorities are spotted doing surveillance for reasons still unknown to the public.
Since Kash Doll released her debut LP, Stacked, four years ago, it has been a long road. Among the 17 songs on that project, there were also 17 assists, which came from artists such as Lil Wayne, Trey Songz, Big Sean, Summer Walker, and Teyana Taylor. Having released several albums since then, she has continued to gain momentum with each release with loose tracks such as “Bossa Nova” created by Tee Grizzley, “Bad Azz” with DJ Infamous, “Nervous,” “Wake Up” produced by Zaytoven and Vezzo , “Like A Pro” by Juicy J, and “Single & Happy” with Wale and Eric Bellinger. Besides the songs of peers such as Saweetie and Dream Doll, the special brand of bars that he uses in “BMF” can also be heard in songs by his peers.

There’s a new body of work by LuLu P called VOL.7 that was released on Saturday (April 1), which boasts a number of features including Soduh, A$AP Ant, and Fendi P. Other past collaborators like Ceez Neckmusik and E-Major Unruly are responsible for the production of the album, which includes 18 tracks.
As the first cut on VOL.7, “TOP 1% ONLYFANS,” opens the mixtape with a boastful bar and humorous flip that is sure to have listeners wanting to go back to the song after listening to it once or twice.
LuLu P has maintained a solid fan base over the past few years by constantly dropping full-length albums such as BIG 16 (All American P), Himalayas, and Thanks LuLu P consisting of notable vocal guests such as Larry June and Sauce Walka, among others. In fact, the Maryland talent turned up the heat even more by consistently dropping a steady stream of quality tracks over a series of months, which included “Did’em Ricky,” “Born from Pain,” “Slow Feet Don’t Eat,” “Expand the Market,” and “2 Hundred Dollar Socks.”
Besides being one of A$AP Ant’s most significant collaborators, LuLu P is a major force within A$AP Ant’s Marino Infantry, which has been making waves as much in the street fashion scene as in the music scene over the past couple of years. Alongside her fellow members, like Baby 9eno and Lil 2 Dow, LuLu P has made a significant contribution to the movement’s overall momentum through the release of her well received albums Infantry Warz, Enter the Infantry and Enter the Infantry, Vol. 2. The singer is also one of Marino Infantry’s most prominent faces at their pop-ups and concerts all over the country, where he has been a prominent face.
