Knucks surprised his fans earlier this month with a trailer for a short film he is directing called KNUCKLES, an emotional biopic about growing up in the musical industry. Knucks, who was interviewed by Billboard at one point in the clip, spoke about the way he approaches the process of making music as well as how he’s been producing music since he was a child:
“All the time, I hear a tune and it feels like I have heard it before, like I have heard it a hundred times before. When I listened to this again, I remembered that I had sampled this song when I was 14 years old (laughs). I think that’s what makes sampling so beautiful, and that’s what attracts me to it.
