ARTISTNAMELEON: Becoming conscious of his imminent music greatness

Lyrics below represent reflect the artistic vision and legend of “ARTISTNAMELEON”.

They tryna see me without

They tryna cover my route

They plan on bringing me down

Can’t keep a real nigga down

I’ll always find my way out

You know I’m smarter than them

I’ma go harder than them

West side they know what we bout

East side they know what we bout

Might put them golds in my mouth

Just so they know what I’m bout

Used to sell drugs out the house

Now I just work out the house

Back when my pockets was slim

Used to go half a nick

Now I roll up by the eighth

You don’t know nothing bout me

I had to struggle my way

Now I look back like okay

Proud that I did it my way

I got some music to make

Ain’t no more playing it safe

I see the thrown up for takes

You had a year it was great

Heard your new shit it was straight

They know I’m back on my wave

I know they’re very afraid

I’m jogging on the white sands of South Beach Miami, Florida, trying to exercise and clear my mind to consume positive energy. Blaring through my “Beats By Dre,” Pro headphones is “Locked In” by an emerging force in Hip-Hop aptly named “ARTISTNAMELEON.” One of the cool factors of being a professional journalist in the world of music is “discovery.”

A real journalist is always in pursuit of life components that challenge our inner being and imagination. “Locked In” commands a different type of attention, because of the vulnerability, passion, and undisputed artistic vision it emits. His music production synchronizes perfectly with the emotional and sonic vibe pattern of his rap delivery. In most cases, indie artists can’t find the proper balance between mass-appeal and quality street music.

ARTISTNAMELEON is blessed with a rare music gift of instinct and finding intricate words of vocal impact. The theme of “Locked In” is designed for any Millennial dreaming of fulfilling their destiny without compromise. ARTISTNAMELEON enables listeners to explore their deepest feelings and fears in real-time. I usually don’t jog unless my mind is racing and needs to be at peace. Trying to keep my sanity during this COVID-19 pandemic has presented unimaginable trials. Music is my #1 option for therapy. “Locked In” doesn’t disappoint, and I understand why “ARTISTNAMELEON” senses greatness is “closer than before.”

Tupac’s family calls Trump campaign “disrespectful” for teasing Kamala Harris at debate

Mopreme Shakur, the late Tupac’s step brother, expressed his dismay regarding the use of the rapper’s name by the Trump campaign, with the objective of making fun of Kamala Harris and the statement she made earlier, during the Vice President debate earlier this week. Shakur stated that using his brother as a prop to make fun of Harris was “clearly disrespectful” to his family.

To tease Harris, Trump’s campaign set aside one ticket for Tupac at the debate on Wednesday (Oct. 8), as she erroneously called Tupac the “greatest rapper alive” in a previous interview. Shakur said he wasn’t surprised by the move as “we should know Trump’s lack of respect for the Black and brown community.”

While he revealed that he does not expect an apology, he stated that the President can make it up to his family by releasing his father, Tupac’s stepfather, from prison. In 1988, his father, Mutulu, was sentenced to 60 years for RICO conspiracy, armed bank robbery and bank robbery killings, and has been denied parole eight times.

On the day of the debate, a journalist tweeted that the campaign stated that they were leaving a ticket for the rapper during a press call. “The Trump campaign is leaving a ticket for Tupac Shakur at tonight’s VP debate because Kamala Harris called him her favorite rapper alive,” she tweeted. “(This is not a joke and was confirmed by Trump campaign senior adviser @JasonMillerinDC on a press call).”

White House and national political correspondent for RealClearPolitics, Susan Crabtree Hennebury, spoke about this news as well, by tweeting words from Jason Miller. “We have left a ticket for Tupac Shakur, Sen. Harris’ favorite rapper alive…,” the tweet read. “I’m personally more of a Biggie fan if he’s still alive, b[ut] we will have a ticket for Tupac.”

Shakur supported Harris, even after her slip up, and he pushed everyone to cast a vote in the presidential elections to be held in November.

Donald Trump claims he is “immune” to COVID-19

President Donald Trump decided to take to Twitter on Sunday to announce that he is Covid-free and that his doctors at the White House cleared him, after he tested positive this month. Now, he is claiming that he is immune.

“A total and complete sign off from White House Doctors yesterday. That means I can’t get it (immune), and can’t give it. Very nice to know!!!,” the president tweeted to his more than 87 million followers, although according to research, he could be re-infected. According to reports, for at least three months after recovering from COVID-19, reinfection is unlikely, even for those who contracted mild strains. However, it is highly unlikely for anyone to have a lifetime immunity to any disease.

The tweet violated the Twitter’s rules about “spreading misleading and potentially harmful information related to COVID-19.” The message was flagged by the company with a warning, although it was not deleted as the group identified it “may be in the public’s interest for the Tweet to remain accessible.”

Last week, Trump was given clearance to return to the campaign trail. On Saturday, the president’s personal physician, Dr. Sean Conley, revealed that he was no longer at risk of transmitting the virus. Moreover, Trump was also permitted by the doctor to go back to public events in a memo sent to press secretary Kayleigh McEnany. However, the memo did not reveal if the president has tested negative.

“This evening I am happy to report that in addition to the President meeting CDC criteria for the safe discontinuation of isolation, this morning’s COVID PCR sample demonstrates, by currently recognized standards, he is no longer a transmission risk to others,” Conley wrote. “Now at day 10 from symptom onset, fever-free for well over 24 hours and all symptoms improved, the assortment of advanced diagnostic tests obtained reveal there is no longer evidence of actively replicating virus.”

Trump also spoke about his health to Fox News on Sunday. “I have to tell you, I feel fantastically. I really feel good. And I even feel good by the fact that, you know, the word immunity means something—having really a protective glow means something,” he said. “I think it’s very important to have that, to have that is a very important thing.”

“Now you have a president who doesn’t have to hide in a basement like his opponent,” Trump added, taking aim at presidential hopeful Joe Biden. “You have a president who is immune, which is a big—I think, which is a very important thing, frankly.”

It is expected that the president will hold his first campaign rally since his diagnosis on Monday (Oct. 12) in Sanford, Florida. Until now 7.7 million people were affected by the virus in America, and over 214,000 people died because of it.

Drake, Burna Boy, Diddy and more stars show support for Nigeria’s #EndSARS movement

To advocate for #EndSARS movement in Nigeria, many celebrities are taking to social media. This weekend, several stars informed their followers about the ongoing demonstrations in the African country. It was on Sunday that an announcement was made that Nigeria dissolved the special police force amid raging protests against police brutality.

The government had stated that a special presidential directive directed the dissolution of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (Sars). On Sunday, the Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari tweeted. “PRESIDENTIAL DIRECTIVE: The Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Nigeria Police Force @PoliceNG has been dissolved WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT. The Inspector General of Police will communicate further developments in this regard,” the tweet said.

A video emerged that allegedly showed a man being killed by cops, which led to these large-scale protests against the unit. The End Special Anti-Robbery Squad social movement, which was established in 2017 led the protests. Many people turned to Twitter to voice their opinions against a unit of the Nigerian Police Force, known as the Special Anti-Robbery Squad.

The abolition of that unit as well as an end to police brutality were the demands laid by the group. Now Diddy, Burna Boy, Drake, Trey Songz and more artists around the world have decided to help Nigerian activists by sharing information that can assist individuals in helping gain more international traction. Burna Boy, who is from Nigeria, shared a letter that spoke about his support for this movement and he too demanded the abolishment the unit.

“My greatest concern in all of this is that SARS will end now as it allegedly has several times in the past and morph into a different entity down the line with a different form or a different name,” the singer wrote in his letter. “In my opinion, abolishing the unit is a definite first step but we cannot afford to stop there.” Moreover, he revealed that to provide financial, medical and legal assistance to the arrested protestors, he will be starting the Project Protect initiative.

On Saturday, Drake shared a few Instagram stories summarizing the situation in the country. Even Trey Songz expressed support towards the people of Nigeria on Twitter writing, “Police brutality here in America often is an abuse of power driven by race. To be brutalized, extorted and murdered by your own people is unimaginable. Prayers up and I’m researching ways I can help. #EndSARS.”

Davido reacted to the news on Twitter. “It’s far from over …. we never win anything,” he tweeted Sunday morning. “We want an Executive order, a Legislative action & a Judicial panel of enquiry set up to prosecute those rogues. Nothing more, nothing less!!

Burna Boy also spoke about this announcement and stated that this is merely the start of the movement and there is so much more that needs to change. “They have now allegedly disbanded SARS but so much more needs to be done!! Police cars revolving light SARS is more than a ‘unit’ its a mindset built from a lack of repercussions for the law enforcement. It’s not over yet family! Flag of Nigeria #ENDPOLICEBRUTALITY #STARTPOLICEREFORM,” the singer wrote.

After making the announcement, the presidency revealed that the officers from the unit will now be assigned to a different task force. “All officers and men of the now defunct Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) are to be redeployed with immediate effect. A new policing arrangement to address anticipated policing gaps the dissolution of SARS will cause is being worked on and will be announced by @PoliceNG.”
