Ahead of the summer holidays, Idris Elba released a new single called “Biggest,” an energetic club song co-produced by Dave Hammer and Manon Dave. In addition to his rapping over the infectious production, Elba expresses his desire to keep the party going in the following manner:
“Biggest” is a self-directed video Idris released yesterday (Sept. 22), which begins with him returning to the warehouse venue where he partied the night before. In his mind, he imagines a wild function, including an encounter with a love interest that was played by his wife, Sabrina Dhowre Elba. Toward the end of the clip, Sabrina snaps back to reality when a woman also Sabrina appears to be given a tour by the owner.
A series of impressive musical releases by Elba have taken place this year, starting with January’s Cordi Elba, a collaborative EP with Lime Cordiale. Aside from these, he released electronic-inspired tracks such as “Body Shots” and “Walk Of Shame” the following May and July, respectively. His collaborations with other artists include Drizilik “Ashobi,” Zedon “Monsters,”and “Aces” with Akintoye, Connor Price, and 4Korners. In addition to his continued work on the big screen, moviegoers may wish to see Beast and Three Thousand Years of Longing, two of the most recent films he appears in.
The rapper has been releasing albums every week without missing a beat. As of today (Sept. 23), he has released his new track, “Last Night,” following other recent releases like “That Was Me,” “Are You Entertained,” “Paddington Freestyle” with Ed Sheeran, and “Yes Sir.” The track features Russ reminiscing about a few of his last moments with a lover:
As you may recall, Russ unveiled his latest EP in April, If Not Now, When? The EP contains four new tracks for his fans to enjoy. The December release of Chomp 2, following the well-received 2020 EP of the same name, introduced a new sound to the artist’s sound. A total of 14 songs and collaborations were featured on the first Chomp, including Ransom, Papoose, Jadakiss,The Game, Hit-Boy, Styles P, Snoop Dogg, Westside Gunn, Wale, Jay Electronica, and more.
A few months ago, Lakeyah released No Pressure (Vol. 1), an EP that featured five songs along with assists from Latto and Layton Greene. The Quality Control talent continues to build on his previous release today (Sept. 23), No Pressure (Vol. 2), which includes the aforementioned EP in addition to five additional tracks that are equally as dope. Furthermore, Vol. 2 boasts guest performances by Peezy, Lucky Daye, Gloss Up, Icewear Flo Milli, and Vezzo who is featured on the opener, “Maneuver.” The song was produced by MK Beats, Heavy in the Chevy, and 4MADEDAT, whose bass-driven track “Maneuver” demonstrates their determination to get the money while stunting on their haters:
The young singer joined other members of XXL’s Freshman class in 2021, including Coi Leray, Flo Milli, 42 Dugg, Pooh Shiesty, Morray, and Blxst. A trio of EPs were also released by the Milwaukee artist that year Lakeyah, Movie Scene, Love, and Big Timer in addition to a full-length album called In Due Time. She joined forces with DJ Drama for My Time (Gangsta Grillz: Special Edition), which featured 11 songs and contributions from Bankroll Freddie, Moneybagg Yo, Tyga, Tee Grizzley, and OG Parker.
