The hip-hop artist G Herbo released a new mixtape back in April, entitled Strictly 4 My Fans. The mixtape features 12 songs from G Herbo with some features from GloRilla, Mello Buckzz, and Drench. In a new video that was released on Thursday (May 11), the Chicago talent has shared another glimpse at his latest album, “We Don’t Care,” a cut that was produced by OzOnTheTrack and is filled with the emotional street raps for which he has become known.
“We Don’t Care” is accompanied by a music video, directed by G Herbo and shot by Jaren Holden and Kevin Mares in addition to the song being itself. There are various scenes throughout the documentary that give viewers a first-hand experience of how the rapper lives his life. There are shots of him in the studio, at a night club, and in front of a mural dedicated to the late Juice WRLD. There are also other heavy-hitters making appearances, such as Polo G, Drake, Metro Boomin, and Lil Durk are also set to make an appearance.
It was in October of 2022 that G Herbo released his fifth studio LP, Survivor’s Remorse, a two-part piece of work from the rapper and producer, which featured a comprehensive list of collaborators, including Offset, Benny The Butcher, Future, Jeremih, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Kodak Black, and Young Thug. After debuting at No. 9 on the Billboard 200 chart with 27,500 album-equivalent sales, the album became his third top ten album on the chart, debuting at No. 9 on the chart. As well as contributing to his own songs, Herbo has also recently worked on songs such as NLE Choppa “DISABILITY CHECKS, ”Fredo Bang “Throw Away,” and Trippie Redd “PURE.”

Latto Coachella performance was well received by fans and now she is back with a slew of new songs for her fans to enjoy. She has a brand new single, “Put It On Da Floor“, which is a collaborative effort made up of Squat Beatz, Go Grizzly, and Pooh Beatz. In it, she shows off her wealth and sends stern messages to those who criticize her.
I previously reported that Latto also collaborated with one of her peers, hip hop artist TiaCorine, for an acoustic version of the viral hit “FreakyT” just recently. “According to the Georgia star, on the Honorable C.N.O.T.E.-backed release, this rapper raps about making women move with us. “With these tweets, with these beats, diamonds go twitchy, hold my wrist up, and make her freeze,” he raps in the rap.
The year was 2022. This was the year when Malika Latto released the sophomore LP of her career, 777, a collection of 13 songs of her own compositions and contributions from other artists of her own tradition Nardo Wick, 21 Savage, Lil Wayne, Lil Durk, Childish Gambino, and Kodak Black. During its first week of chart appearances, both Billboard 200 and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts showed the album reaching No. 15 in the first week and No. 8 in the second week respectively. After that, she has continued to keep up the momentum and has released dope records. Some of them include “LOTTERY” by LU KALA and “FTCU” “P**SY,” featuring Gangsta Boo and GloRilla. The MC is not only known for producing top-tier rhymes for her own releases, but for other artists as well, such as Lakeyah, Chlöe, Calvin Harris, Ella Mai, Saucy Santana, Trina, and more over the past year.

A new single from Lil Jon released on Friday (April 21) is certain to have parties hopping this summer. The self-produced track is called “What We On,” and it features Bay Area icons such as P-LO, DaBoii, and E-40, with E-40 being the first to deliver a hard-hitting verse for the streets in the middle of the song.
An accompanying clip begins with an image of P-LO handling business at a car dealership, before Lil Jon appears and reaches out to greet him and hand him some cash as he gets out of the car. As the music and dancing moves out of the enclosed area, DaBoii performs in front of a small crowd of young dancers and whips that have been painted with candy colors. E-40 finally makes his presence known from behind the bar as he makes his appearance.
There is a wonderful tribute video at the end of the video which is dedicated to its director, Bernard Gourley, who tragically was killed in a car accident in December of 2022, moments before the video ends. The video, uploaded by E-40 shortly after his unfortunate passing, was accompanied by a message and a video on Instagram (see above).
“You will be missed my friend, Bernard Gourley, I am going to rest you up,” the “Function” rapper Lil Jon told the crowd. “You always had a good attitude and we used to play Little League together in the V at Wilson Park in Hamilton. My sincere gratitude extends out to you for directing one of the most stunning videos in hip-hop history, ‘Tell Me When To Go.’”

The LOX (sans Sheek Louch) as well as Fat Joe and Rick Ross brought together together for the release of a new single called “The Game,” a Mike Kuz, Buda & Grandz, and Setfree-produced single which was released in collaboration with sports betting company DraftKings as a collaboration with them. Therefore, the title track of the album is replete with bars that speak about the hard work needed to win, beginning with a powerful verse from Jadakiss about working hard.
“In the Game” includes a black-and-white clip that features action shots from current top NBA players in action accompanied by a variety of betting terms that are used when placing bets. The clip fits perfectly with the moment of the basketball league’s playoffs, a time when competition is at its peak, since the league is just entering the first stage of this season’s playoffs. The artists do not appear in any of the shows, which is unfortunate.
After decades of careers of Rick Ross in hip-hop, it is amazing to see how all parties have managed to remain relevant in the industry after decades of hard work. Living Off Xperience and Richer Than I Ever Been, the latest albums released by the LOX and Rick Ross, respectively, were released in 2020 and 2021, respectively. In the wake of the release of Fat Joe’s latest solo album, The Darkside Vol. 1, which hit land in 2010 and led to a new era of hip hop, and has continued to go from strength to strength through projects such as What Would Big Do 2021 featuring DJ Drama, Plata O Plomo featuring Remy Ma, and Family Ties featuring Dre. As of yet, it is unknown whether or not there will be more to come after “The Game”.

In his ongoing efforts to put a stamp on Takeoff’s legacy, Quavo continues to lift up the legacy of Takeoff as he nears the release of his sophomore solo album, Rocket Power. As some fans have been looking forward to a follow-up to Quavo Huncho, the up-and-coming project is expected to drop sometime this summer.
In an interview with Insider published earlier this week, Quavo confirmed the album was dedicated to Takeoff. “As far as i am concerned, I am fueled by The Rocket,” he told XXL in an interview with the publication on April 5th, referring to the late rapper’s nicknameThe release date for this project has not been disclosed at this time. My apologies, but I am certain that hip-hop fans are still struggling with the loss of Takeoff in such a tragic manner. As a matter of fact, only five months have passed since the Migos group member lost his life in a shooting during a private party in Houston, Texas, which left others injured as well.
Quavo released a heartfelt tribute to the 28-year-old rapper following a memorial service for the artist. In it, The Last Rocket emcee was referred to as the angel of his life due to the way he treated him. It wasn’t until January that the lyricist further expressed his heartbreak through his tune, “Without You.”
The 32-year-old is not only paying homage to a late cultural trendsetter by making music, but he is doing it in countless other ways as well. During the Grammy Awards in February, Quavo returned to the stage to perform for the first time since the tragic passing of Takeoff at the Grammy Awards. There was a noticeable difference in his appearance, as he wore a mask that covered part of his right side of the face with the left part showing. As it turned out, that was also a nod to his nephew, as it turned out to be another nod to him.
“The loss of my other half symbolizes the loss of my whole. I want my performance to be a reminder of his presence with me in every way,” he explained. On the latest release from Huncho, “Honey Bun,” he mentions the mask throughout the song when he raps, “I don’t know how you can come outside without your mask on? / It’s because they want to see my emotions, I am not smiling at all.”
While he has become less inclined to smile these days, it was evident that he was delighted to be able to join his Praise This castmates for the world premiere on April 3 in Atlanta, Georgia. The movie, which is currently available on Peacock, is a feature film in which he plays Ty, one of the love interests of Chloë Bailey’s character, Sam.
