Rick Ross and Blxst team up for the new video “Couldn’t Wait For It”

Earlier this month, Blxst debuted Before You Go, an album of 13 songs featuring collaborations with Rick Ross, Grandmaster Vic, Arin Ray, and Zacari. The California star has released a new video from his new album Before You Go, entitled “Couldn’t Wait For It,” a collaboration with Rick Ross, in which the two discuss the road to success:

A follow-up to Blxst’s breakthrough EP No Love Lost of eight smooth tracks, released in 2020, Before You Go promises the same. In the months that followed, no Love Lost would be re-released in a deluxe edition featuring Tyga, Ty Dolla $ign, Dom Kennedy, and Bino Rideaux. It was in 2021 that Blxst joined 42 Dugg, Flo Milli, Morray, Pooh Shiesty, Coi Leray, and more as that year’s XXL Freshman class.

A 46-date global tour has also been announced by Blxst that will cover Australia, North America, and Germany. Taking off from San Diego, CA tomorrow (July 13), the journey begins.

A new single from Ciara and Coast Contra is called “JUMP”

A new single from Ciara and Coast Contra is called “JUMP”

Having released her seventh studio album Beauty Marks three years ago, Ciara’s seventh recording features contributions from Macklemore, Kelly Rowland, and Tekno. Over the past few years, she has released loose cuts such as “Melanin” by City Girls, LaLa, Lupita Nyong’o and Dean, and “Rooted” featuring Ester Dean. Also, she has contributed her talents to the likes of Maverick City Music and Summer Walker.

Ciara returns with “JUMP” upon the release of Coast Contra’s debut album. It shouldn’t take long for “JUMP” to get your dance shoes moving on the dance floor: it’s produced by Sean Small and Sam Sumser.

In recent news, Coast Contra, which includes Ras and Taj, twin sons of Ras Kass and Teedra Moses, has been gaining traction over the past year or so by releasing singles such as “Pimpin’ Benjamin,” “AF1,” “My Lady,” “Explicit” “Intentional,” and “Legacy.” In May, the duo released a freestyle featuring JID‘s “Never” instrumental that can now be found on streaming platforms for fans to enjoy.

This is the video for “Drill” by G Herbo and Rowdy Rebel

In just over a year from this past Saturday (July 2), G Herbo released his fourth studio album 25. As part of that project, a number of artists contributed, including Lil Tjay, Polo G, 21 Savage, Gunna, Yosohn, The Kid LAROI, and Rowdy Rebel, whose contribution was especially notable on “Drill.” Produced by Luca Vialli, “Drill” combines Chicago and Brooklyn with hard-hitting bars that reflect the similarities between the two territories:

With the release of the video for “Drill,” G Herbo celebrates 25’s one-year anniversary with a Zae Production directed video. There are several locations where Rebel links up with his Chicago counterpart, including a quick market with a crowd of people, as well as a high-end SUV.

Aside from “Drill,” G Herbo has also provided his fans with 25 images and videos captured during the 25 album campaign. You can find photos of freestyles by visiting his Instagram account, as well as intimate photos with family, notable performances, and more. Hardcore fans were probably also delighted to see that G Herbo’s website was offering a 25% discount on its merch over the weekend.

In honor of Black Music Month, Usher delivers an amazing “Tiny Desk” concert

Following a few weeks of teasing, NPR Music today (June 30) premiered its latest episode of their critically acclaimed “Tiny Desk” series, featuring Usher’s performance. As well as a top-of-the-line backing band, Vedo and Eric Bellinger provided background vocals for the R&B legend. The clip lasted approximately 25 minutes and featured Usher’s renditions of classic tracks such as ,” “Confessions Part II,” “Superstar,” “U Don’t Have To Call,” “You Make Me Wanna…,” “Nice & Slowand “My Way.”

His appearance on “Tiny Desk” follows his co-headlining responsibilities at this year’s Something In The Water festival, making him one of the festival’s biggest highlights. As Usher left the stage, he honored Pharrell Williams, who joined the party and helped create the festival.

Usher has not released a new album in six years; Hard II Love is a 15-track collection that features contributions from Priyanka Chopra, Young Thug, Future, and Rubén Blades. A total of 38,000 album equivalent units were sold in the first week to make the album Usher’s eighth top ten album on the Billboard 200. In his opinion, he is already working on the sequel to 2004’s Confessions, which he has been teasing since 2019. A part of Usher’s rousing performance for Cricket Wireless included the release of “Confessions Part III” , a song that, as his collaborator Jermaine Dupri explained on Twitter, turns the material of its predecessor on its head:

A female’s perspective is presented in “CONFESSIONS PART 3”. This song tells the story of a girl who cheats on him and gets pregnant with another man’s baby. This leaves her with the choice of keeping it or aborting it. Having learned this, should he stay or should he leave?”

‘No Love’ is the latest visual from Jim Jones and Maino

It’s been a while since Jim Jones and Maino collaborated on anything, but they just did it with The Lobby Boyz, a 15-song effort with features from Dave East, Benny The Butcher, Bleu, Fivio Foreign, Fabolous, Young M.A, Capella Grey, and others. A new video from the album for “No Love” was released yesterday, which shows the duo maintaining a sense of self-preservation and keeping it real about street life:

The clip for “No Love” was directed by Tana and Will C., and it takes the viewer outside, namely, in an apartment lobby, hence the name of the group, and it takes place at a road intersection. As all of this is taking place, Philly’s own Meek Mill is seen riding around on a dirt bike.

As Maino stated in a recent interview with “The Breakfast Club,” he and Jim developed the concept of The Lobby Boyz together:

“After getting to know each other, I would pull up to [Jim] , whose studio was downtown, and we once recorded together at the time when Puff and Ross called themselves The Bugatti Boyz. When we finished recording, he said, “A shoutout to the Bugatti Boys, as well as me and Maino, we The Lobby Boyz.”
