In Megan Thee Stallion Shooting, Tory Lanez Enters Not Guilty Plea

In relation to the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion, Tory Lanez pleaded not guilty  to felony assault and weapons charges, according to the Los Angeles D.A.’s  office announced. Moreover, Lanez did not appear in court. In October, the  Canadian singer faces a single felony count of assault with a semiautomatic  firearm (personal use of a firearm), carrying a loaded gun, and an unregistered  firearm in a vehicle. Moreover, he also faces gun allegations of personally  inflicting great bodily injury. Although he denied shooting, conviction will come  with over 22 years in prison.

Mark Dupree, who is a Kansas-based prosecutor who was recruited to help out with  Donald Trump’s controversial law enforcement task force, decided to quit the  position and stated to U.S. Attorney General William Barr that he was “deeply  offended by a political agenda to divide rather than build.” Moreover, he was  concerned that the systemic racism will not be acknowledged by the commission.  Dupree is Wyandotte County District Attorney, who is the only Black D.A. in his  state.

It has been reported that Nipsey Hussle’s The Marathon Clothing Store was  vandalized and several windows were busted out. Merchandise was also looted,  according to reports. In a phone footage that has been shared online, it can be  seen that people cleaned up broken glass from outside of the store. Since the fatal  shooting of the rapper in March 2019, the store became a memorial location and  tourist attraction.

Barack Obama’s memoir, A Promised Land, sold almost a million copies just on  day 1. In the US and Canada, it sold 890,000 copies, which is a record for  publisher Random House. This number is inclusive of fboth digital and physical  copies of the book, as well as pre-orders. The number was 100,000 more than  what Michelle Obama sold on day 1, with her book Becoming. A Promised Land  is only the first volume of Barack’s “presidential memoirs.”
