Earlier today (May 19), Headie One collaborated with French rapper Gazo to release a new song called, “22 Carats.” The music video was directed by Screetch with the video produced by French producer Leo Eynard. The most recent Headie One production, Too Loyal for My Own Good, was released last October. The album contained 13 tracks and zero features. Before that, he released his official debut album Edna, which featured collaborations with Skepta, Drake, M Huncho, Young T & Bugsey, Stormzy, AJ Tracey, Future, Mahalia, Aitch, and more. There would be a deluxe edition of Edna available a few months later, which featured exclusive collaborations with RV, Burna Boy, Rich The Kid, and NorthSideBenji. In sum, Edna is his biggest hit to date, having reached the top spot on the UK Albums chart and earning silver certification.
As far as Gazo’s debut mixtape, Drill FR, was concerned, he released it in February 2021, going on to top the French album charts. The La Cour des Grands collaboration project has been dropped due to my partnership with Kim and Kalash this year.
His career has been one to remember, and he is nowhere close to calling it a day. His legacy extends far beyond Atlanta, and he is without a doubt one of the most celebrated artists of the city. Fans have been waiting two years for a follow-up to his High Off Life album and the Freeband Gang leader has been waiting patiently for some new music since then. Though the time seemed to pass fairly quickly, As little as possible is what Future is known for doing to keep his fans waiting. The toxic king has released his ninth studio album I Never Liked You today (April 29) just in time for the end of the month!
Future’s ninth studio album will be released in January. In an interview with GQ earlier this month, the rapper revealed, “I’m putting myself out there.” “I am revealing my lifestyle,” he said. He said that he would share his pain with the world. “I’m willing to share all of me with the universe, so I can learn how to build on me, and become a better version of me.”

As well as Future’s latest contribution, he will be dropping plenty of his own material. Announcing the release of his next record on April 29, he announced it would only be available on the 29th. ‘Worst Day,’ inspired by Valentine’s Day, is already the start of his campaign. Future will follow up his eighth studio album High Off Life, a 21-song effort featuring contributions from Drake, Lil Durk, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Meek Mill, and Lil Baby.
After the tragedy at last year’s Astroworld Festival that left ten people dead, Travis Scott has slowly been making his way back into the spotlight. It seems that signs around Coachella have been promoting Scott’s long-awaited album Utopia, meaning that his return could be sooner than we thought.
Generally, artists aren’t able to stick with the original name they used, but Blxst talks about what it was like to become a father and how that affected his stage name.
During a recent interview with “Sway in the Morning“, the Los Angeles native stated that the reason for keeping his original artist’s name, which is pronounced blast, is actually due to his son.
“I originally conceived of Blxst when I was a young child and it literally had no meaning whatsoever when I was a child, so I decided to rethink it. Initially, I was a lyricist, but soon after having my son decided to become his superhero, so I became Blxst the superhero,” he revealed in response to a question about the meaning of his stage name.
A collaboration between his record label, Evgle, and Red Bull Records enabled the West Coast artist to debut his EP “No Love Lost” in 2020.
Blaxst, whose signature style has him flitting between rapping and carrying a melody, also discusses what inspires him when it comes to approaching a song.
“I would just note that sometimes the ideas just flow through me like a river, and other times, I just paint whatever is in my mind, he said. “I don’t go into the studio with any preconceived notion about doing a particular thing. In the end I do what I feel, and I am grateful to those who made it possible for me to be able to go down that road, like Drake and Kanye West. I think about people in the sound who have been there so long whenever I am just free.”
The 29-year-old rapper revealed during a recent appearance at J. Cole’s Dreamville Festival that he is preparing to release his new project, Before You Go.
“For me, that is as though I am writing a note to myself to remind me to leave some things behind maybe take some things with him, but it is also finding a balance of me as a man beyond just being a rapper, as he says on the new mixtape set to release on April 22,” he informed of the release date.

MRC Data reports that Thugger’s second solo studio album lands at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart following a week-ending sales of 90,000 album equivalents. In Billboard’s assessment, this is Thug’s third No. 1 album. As part of his first week of release, So Much Fun and Slime Language 2 both reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, while simultaneously reaching the top music downloads.
102 million on-demand streams and 1,000 track equivalent albums have been accessed by Thug. In terms of album equivalent units, Punk won with 90,000 over Drake’s Certified Lover Boy, which slipped to No. 2 after earning 83,000.As of this writing, CLB has spent four nonconsecutive weeks at the top of the charts, the most that a hip hop album has spent on top this year.
Numbers don’t lie with Young Thug
In terms of music equivalent units, Mac Miller’s Faces mixtape debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 chart. Streaming services re-released Faces in October, which was originally released in 2014. In an odd twist of fate, Mac Miller and Drake are both featured on Young Thug’s “Punk” project. There are multiple contributions by Drake on his album and he showcases the talent on “Bubbly” with Travis Scott, and Mac makes appearances on “Day Before.” Thugger admitted last week that he spent time in the studio with Mac – in 2018 – the day before he overdosed on pills. Young Thug’s career is decorated with rewards and critical acclaim.
