NAV and RealestK release a visual for “Lost Me”

NAV and RealestK release a visual for “Lost Me”

It was last week that NAV released his fourth studio LP Demons Protected by Angels. This album features performances from Lil Uzi Vert, Babyface Ray, Travis Scott, Don Toliver, Lil Durk, Bryson Tiller, and more. Soon thereafter (Sept. 10), the Canadian artist dropped a new visual for “Lost Me,” in which he collaborated with RealestK on a song about a love interest that proved disloyal:

A black-and-white clip accompanying the music video for the NAV, 254Bodi, Money Musik, and HONEYWOODSIX-produced track portrays a single room in an artsy manner. NAV sits on a throne with an amount of money, and RealestK makes his appearance flanked by mannequins wearing sunglasses.

In the first week of the album’s release, Hits Daily Double estimates that Demons Protected by Angels will sell 50,000 to 55,000 equivalent album units. The number of units sold for Emergency Tsunami, released in 2020, would be higher if the figures are accurate. Emergency Tsunami debuted on the Billboard 200 at number six thanks to the sale of 42,000 units. As with Demons Protected by Angels, Emergency Tsunami showcased a variety of star power, featuring Young Thug, Gunna, Lil Baby, SahBabii, Future, and the late Lil Keed.

Lil Baby drops off new single and visual for “Detox”

Lil Baby drops off new single and visual for “Detox”

This is the official start of Lil Baby season. A new documentary on rapper Lil Baby, Untrapped: The Story of Lil Baby, was released last week, giving viewers an insight into the star’s life and career. Lil Baby follows up recent loose singles “Frozen,” “In A Minute,” and “U-Digg” with a new track titled “Detox,” which may indicate a new studio album is coming soon.

The sophomore studio LP My Turn by Lil Baby was released two years ago, and it contained 20 songs and features from Future, 42 Dugg, Gunna, Lil Uzi Vert, Moneybagg Yo, Lil Wayne, Young Thug, and Rylo Rodriguez. Despite the project’s critical and commercial success, it failed to reach number one on the Billboard 200, despite selling 197,000 CD-equivalents during its first week. Several months later, a deluxe edition of the four-times Platinum effort arrived with seven additional songs, including the smash hit “We Paid” and Grammy-nominated “The Bigger Picture.”

As part of the Voice of the Heroes album, Lil Baby partnered with fellow hip hop frontrunner Lil Durk, who collaborated with artists such as Young Thug, Meek Mill, Future, and Rod Wave. In addition to topping the chart with 150,000 equivalent album units, The Voice of the Heroes also topped the Billboard chart, as well. Both parties received Platinum plaques for their efforts.

He has quickly established himself as one of the most sought after featured artists across a wide range of genres apart from his own work. Among the songs he has appeared on since The Voice of the Heroes hit the ground are EST Gee “5500 Degrees,” H.E.R. “Find A Way,” Meek Mill “Sharing Locations,” Drake “Girls Want Girls,” Kanye West “Hurricane,” Nardo Wick “Me Or Sum,” Ed Sheeran “2step (Remix),” Nicki Minaj “Do We Have A Problem?,” and DJ Khaled “BIG TIME.”

Lil Durk and Southside team up for “Save Me”

Lil Durk and Southside team up for “Save Me”

Featuring Lil Durk, Southside joins forces with 808 Mafia for “Save Me,” which embodies the heavy, street-oriented sounds that make the collective one of hip-hop’s most prolific producers. This song follows April’s “Hold That Heat,” a collaboration with Future and Travis Scott that featured all three parties boasting about their rock star lifestyles:

There is no doubt that you are familiar with Southside’s hits even if you are unfamiliar with the artist. As far as work produced under his own name is concerned, the Atlanta beatsmith has released songs such as “Been Thru This Before” featuring Saint Jhn and Giggs, “Hmmm” alongside Valee and Lil Yachty, “Blue Jean Bandit” featuring Moneybagg Yo, Young Thug, TM88, and Future and “Order” by Gunna and TM88. Along with his own work, Southside has also been responsible for classics (past and present) including Polo G “Young N Dumb,” Doe Boy “BIG OH REALLY,” Roddy Ricch “thailand,” Gunna “poochie gown,” Babyface Ray “6 Mile Show,” EST Gee “Riata Dada,” G Herbo “Locked In,” and Lil Durk “AHHH HA.”

A few of Southside’s biggest career achievements were discussed during a past interview with Complex:

The experience of watching my little brothers and sisters sing stuff I made, like beats I made or songs I composed. Once my mom sent me a text saying, “Yeah, you made that beat.” I felt like I had achieved something. There is no amount of money that can replace that feeling.”

This is the video for “Drill” by G Herbo and Rowdy Rebel

In just over a year from this past Saturday (July 2), G Herbo released his fourth studio album 25. As part of that project, a number of artists contributed, including Lil Tjay, Polo G, 21 Savage, Gunna, Yosohn, The Kid LAROI, and Rowdy Rebel, whose contribution was especially notable on “Drill.” Produced by Luca Vialli, “Drill” combines Chicago and Brooklyn with hard-hitting bars that reflect the similarities between the two territories:

With the release of the video for “Drill,” G Herbo celebrates 25’s one-year anniversary with a Zae Production directed video. There are several locations where Rebel links up with his Chicago counterpart, including a quick market with a crowd of people, as well as a high-end SUV.

Aside from “Drill,” G Herbo has also provided his fans with 25 images and videos captured during the 25 album campaign. You can find photos of freestyles by visiting his Instagram account, as well as intimate photos with family, notable performances, and more. Hardcore fans were probably also delighted to see that G Herbo’s website was offering a 25% discount on its merch over the weekend.

The intimate video for Chris Brown’s hit song “We (Warm Embrace)” has arrived.

Chris Brown is slated to unveil his highly anticipated album Breezy on June 24. R&B veteran Chris Brown recently gave fans a few new previews from his forthcoming album, including “Wheels Fall Off” and “Call Me Everyday” with Wizkid. Brown is back with his latest music video for “WE (Warm Embrace),” a Don City-produced track originally released in April. As he dances the night away with Normani, Brown introduces Normani as his love interest in the video:

Brown recently spoke with Big Boy about Breezy for Big BoyTV and revealed that he had recorded more than 250 tracks for the album. Brown said, “I have so many tracks. According to Brown, I had almost 250 songs for the actual project. “Yes, I was thinking, We need to scale it down and figure out what we can do.”

Earlier this year, Chris Brown released his last solo album, Indigo. It featured 33 cuts and collaborations with artists such as Lil Jon, H.E.R., Juvenile, Tyga, Juicy J, Nicki Minaj, Drake, G-Eazy, Justin Bieber, Gunna, and more. Following the release of Indigo, Brown returned with an extended edition featuring an additional 10 tracks and contributions from Davido, Rich The Kid, and DaniLeigh. This critically acclaimed and commercially successful album topped the Billboard 200 and reached Platinum status thanks to 108,000 first-week equivalent albums sold.
