Kalan.FrFr releases a new single, “Popstar”

In his newest single, Kalan.FrFr delivers the catchy tune “Popstar.” This delightful song is the first taste of his upcoming EP, and it demonstrates the slick flow of the Chicago rapper, combined with the lush production from Bankroll Got It and Diego Ave. On “Popstar,” Kalan.FrFr explains the power of stardom:

The Compton native expressed his feelings about the new song during an interview: ‘It’s a concept based song about how anyone can be a pop star, it is just a matter of believing it. It’s the belief in yourself, the feeling that you are functioning regardless of what space you’re in. It doesn’t mean you have to be a rapper to be a popstar, I’m just one!

There was also TwoFr 2 Extended prior to this release, which is the deluxe edition of TwoFr 2. On the original, Stunna 4 Vegas and Mozzy appeared, while BluebucksClan, Lil Durk, Maeta, 1TakeJay and Maeta provided brand new guest assists. On his “Never Lose You” Tour, Kalan will tour seven cities in celebration of the release of his new album, which launches in Orlando on April 28 and travels to New York, Houston and Atlanta.

Vince Staples drops “ROSE STREET” as latest single

As of 8 April, Vince Staples will unveil Ramona Park Broke My Heart, his latest work and fifth studio album. Among the record’s standout tracks is the Mustard-assisted “MAGIC” single. On Thursday (March 28), he will release an additional single, “ROSE STREET,” a Tommy Parker and SAINT MINO joint featuring Long Beach emcee’s reflection on his relationship with women and gang affiliations:

There are several parts to this clip, including the introduction where an unknown person talks about our marginalized communities and how our children face unfair barriers early on Rose Street also serves as a catalyst for a short clip that also features C. Blacksmith. Following this, viewers are presented with a pan of the ocean, which moves toward the shore, with the camera eventually focusing on Vince Staples as he stands in front of the water.

The album artwork for Ramona Park Broke My Heart, alongside an accompanying message explaining the album’s theme, was revealed by Vince Staples just prior to the release of “ROSE STREET” on social media.

Frequently, I have heard a lie that the quality of life depends on the person living it. It has taken much of my time to compile an anthology of the things that I thought of as belonging to home over the past decade. Recently, I have discovered that its meaning goes far beyond location. My search has led me to investigate the utility of home, Comfort, Meaning, Security. It is to outgrow blindly, which is the excuse to outgrow. The story of Ramona Park Broke My Heart is a story of this growth.

“Often” is the return of Unknown T

“Often” is the return of Unknown T

A new body of work by Unknown T titled Adolescence was released last summer. The project was composed of fifteen tracks featuring collaborations with M1llionz, Potter Payper, M Huncho, Nafe Smallz, and Digga D. Following its initial release, the album received positive reviews from the general public, landing the London rapper his first place on the UK Albums chart in the very first week.

Throughout the years, Unknown T has developed his unique brand for artists such as Abra Cadabra, V9, Lancey Foux, Steel Banglez, Young T & Bugsey, KO, and FKA Twigs in September, as well as collaborating with Skillibeng on “Wollan”, raising the question of whether or not a follow-up was forthcoming. The drill artist stoked the flames yesterday (Mar. 24), releasing “Often,” which features some of his toughest, most inventive bars to date. As an example, let’s take his use of DC Comics characters to illustrate how he would like to get his point across:

As part of Unknown T’s first campaign launch, he provided fans with snippets of three songs to choose from, which included the track “Often.” Considering how much fans liked it, it’s understandable why Chris Rich decided to kickstart the new campaign with a Chris Rich-produced track.

Additionally, the song is accompanied by a dope video by Teeeezy C, which shows Unknown T performing before busy crowds and mobbing with his crew at his Homerton digs if you’re not in the United States, check it out here.

The new single from Fireboy DML is called “Playboy”

The new single from Fireboy DML is called “Playboy”

Fireboy DML debuted a new single in July called Peru, which was produced by Shizzi and was about both the celebration of a love interest and the excitement of meeting her. It was later remixed to include the addition of Ed Sheeran’s stylings. Nigerian artist Olamide teamed up with rappers Blxst and 21 Savage to remix the hit once again and dropped it last month, joined by Blxst and 21 Savage.

Now, he drops his first solo single of 2022 with his newly dropped “Playboy” track. Providing yet another perfect nighttime vibe, Fireboy delivers yet another smooth track:

Billboard has put Fireboy’s “Peru” on its Hot 100 chart for the first time. The two-minute song has reached 300 million streams to date and continues to climb the charts around the world, reaching the top of the UK Top 40 chart and becoming Nigeria’s second most streamed song.

Aside from Peru, Fireboy has also gained popularity for tracks such as Rotimi “Weapon,” Cheque “History,” DJ Spinall “Sere (Remix),” WSTRN “Be My Guest,” and D Smoke “Sleepwalking.” It is also hoped that he has been working on an official follow-up to last year’s Apollo.
