D Bass “I DONT MIND” Official Music Video

D Bass drops a new single “I Don’t Mind”, Off Of His Second Album “Self Centered, Too”. The visual captures the artist and his crew enjoying life as they would on a day to day bases. D Bass recently on a interview with myself helped me discover his motivation behind his drive. Family and close friends are the two things D Bass aims to build his legacy for and the inclusion of the team in the music videos and album covers display the same.

Getting his first taste of hip-hop while freestyling at a basketball tournement, he was later incouraged to create a song. After taking a small break after his start he jumped back into the mix with his 2019 and 2020 releases all with solid production.

Coming up listening to all styles and genres from classic old school to jobbed and screwed and r&b, but is qouted to get direct influence from Lil Wayne, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Ab soul, J cole and more. He gains most of his inspiration to write and create after listening to music outside of hip-hop, reffering to the slow jamz and old school soul. Working with his new team of producers after moving to mississippi and taking the game serious he now is in full flight. Ready to take over the game with consitency and originallity, D Bass is easily one of the most versatile artist coming up this year.

Nas Album “King’s Disease” Hip-Hop Album Of the Year

Nas Album “King’s Disease” Hip-Hop Album Of the Year

A win for Hip-Hop as the chosen one, “God’s Son”, Nasir Jones as he took home the Grammy for Album Of The Year with his 2020 release “King’s Disease”. The King of the Golden Era stands firm on his delivery of black excellence without hesitation. Understanding what it takes to make a classic album is one thing doing it is another. Already on record for having arguably the most influential album of all time in “Illmatic”, Nas captures the culture again with the same formula using different ingredients. The 5 pillars of Hip-Hop, Dance, Graffiti, Rap, the DJ who now is often replaced with the producer, and Education of the people.

While the Grammys have made an extra effort to address its lack of acknowlegment regarding rap and hip-hop music, it has rapidly pushed to correct itself. The genre has undergone massive changes since The Fresh Prince first led a hip-hop boycott of the 1989 ceremony to protest the Grammys not televising the new Best Rap Performance award. The Fresh Prince is now better known for his extensive filmography and the family first lifestyle he promotes more than his mic skills, it showed the world the versatility of our youth in entertainment.

Fast forward to 2020 a year of riots, protest, a push for reform on all levels across the world for equality and spiritual warfare we crown Hip-Hop. “King’s Disease” embodies the elements with soul and presents a an album that can be played by all walks of life. You don’t have to be a fan of Nas to gain from his art, in which he reaches the masses once again but with the gold coming home to Mass Appeal.

Beating out an almost flawless “A Written Testimony” by Jay Electronica that only lacked the radio friendly sound Nas captured, and a sonically unflawed “Alfredo” by Freddie Gibbs & The Alchemist “King’s Disease” is as Illmatic as it gets. Being able to play in any order and not skip a song on top of the legendary features what more could you ask for?

Nas had guest appearance from Charlie Wilson, Hit-Boy, Big Sean, Don Toliver, Lil Durk, Anderson Paak, Brucie B, Nas’s supergroup The Firm, Fivio Foreign, and ASAP Ferg. The album art by the talented artist Honeiee was full of royalty and excellence with a touch of God to honor the mindset of the project. congrats King!

Texas Opens Despite Covid-19 and Harsh Winter In Pursuit Of Independance

Texas Opens Despite Covid-19 and Harsh Winter In Pursuit Of Independance

Succession from America has been in the talks behind closed doors and the United States may be down a state or two within the next 10 years. Lack of unity, lack of sanction and rise of socialism due to the pandemic the formula for change has been brewing consistently. Texas one of the few states openly looking to gain its independence once again due to what they feel to be insufficient governing by the U.S. officials and congress. With on going taxes and unrewarding returns, lack of response not only with the Covid-19 take over but even with recent weather anomalies that left millions with no heat, electric and running water. Some say the weather is the governments way of tactical warfare using the alleged “HARP” program others take it as a sign from the universe to push forward.

In the context of the United States, secession primarily refers to the voluntary withdrawal of one or more states from the Union that constitutes the United States; but may loosely refer to leaving a state or territory to form a separate territory or new state, or to the severing of an area from a city or county within a state. Texas’s governor proclaimed the state “100% OPEN,” and a chorus of Democratic mayors and big-name stores responded by defiantly reasserting their own mask mandates. Just five days before the governor’s announcement, the Round Rock City Council had unanimously voted to extend its mask mandate for an additional 60 days, declaring it will remain in place until at least April 29.

“A lot of businesses and enterprises and people are attracted to Texas for the low-cost, no income tax environment, and that has fueled the growth engine without a doubt,” said Steven Pedigo, a professor at the University of Texas at Austin who studies economic and urban development. “But on the flip side, you get what you pay for.”

The latest attempts from California and Oregon have been swept under the media rug but it is all due to simple conflict in interest between parties. Two sides who don’t agree on world and economic events, foreign conflict and other developments have forced the people to search for their own land to self govern. As we hope to move towards a post pandemic world, we have many issues to tackle as people realize we have to act radically to make things change rapidly. We have had civil war on our land before and many attempts by groups and states to gain independence, but none during such a time like this.

As the world awaits word on the next stimulus package, as states see that the value of the American dollar drop world wide but rise above the morals of men, the new world is realizing both sides are embracing change in their own way. As millennials lose faith in democracy and the flaws of our government show more and more, young people want less participation in things that don’t show results. With the gap of rich and poor steadily growing its seems a drastic change is at hand. We no longer plan for the future as a whole country, we seem to hold on to the past and breeze through the present. This is no longer the way and the people have had enough. So as we wait to see if the map as we know will be changing, lets continue to remain compassionate, positive and educated on current events. The survival of this nation is at the peak of warning signs, Americas 80 year cycle never fails. To put in perspective we have not been this in danger of a failing system since the civil war, the great depression after world war 2 and now Covid-19.

A new generation redefining what governing is while forcing the powers at hand, to make their next move the best step forward, for the American people and rest of the world. We learned once in 1930 will we relearn success in America?

After all of the resilient efforts, days in to months into years went by. Social injustice put on a the main news feeds of America, a stance made by the people of America again makes a step forward in victory. The Act is looking to create a data base to keep track of police misconduct, ban neck restraints and kneeling to suppress individuals, and a series of other irrational methods of detainment. “My Daddy Changed the world” Daughter of the late great George Floyd says with joy as she watches the masses go to war for his justice. Peaceful protest across the globe, some remained peaceful others disrupted by more hate and unjust tactics, but still we stand together. What a time in history where everyone heard the call and stood tall for an on going cause that needed a voice and it was heard.

Millions of people around the world watched footage filmed Monday of a white Minneapolis police officer kneeling on the neck of George Floyd, a 46-year-old black man, as he cried out that he couldn’t breathe. He later died. The video — and scenes from the chaotic protests against police brutality that have unfolded over the ensuing week — found purchase and provoked responses across the globe. Some leaders took the opportunity to express solidarity with marginalized communities in the United States.

For the first time in american history a civil dispute has brought the country together with a record number of peaceful protest across the nation. The announcement came more than a week after Floyd was killed while in police custody in Minneapolis, sparking nationwide protests that call for the end to police violence against black citizens.

The new standard has been set we must continue to hold this in America to prevent these reckless happenings. We feel a officer sworn to protect should be held at a higher standard of responsibility and be subject to the highest charge and punishment. We as black citizens have been victims fighting off max sentencing, high rates of the death penalty and life sentences, unfair trials and tampered with or lack of evidence. The battle against mass incarceration and fair trials have forcefully conditioned us to be ok with having the most prisoners in the self proclaimed best country in the world. The U.S. incarcerates more people than any nation in the world, including China. And the U.S. is also the leader in the prison population rate. America’s approach to punishment often lacks a public safety rationale, disproportionately affects minorities, and inflicts overly harsh sentences.
