In the music industry, DJ Khaled is considered to be one of the greatest ever and at this point, this cannot be denied. Listen…The Album, the debut album by the Miami-bred music mogul, appeared in 2006, and the Miami-bred artist has been producing hits almost every year since then. It has been his one and only role to curate some of the hottest collaborations we’ve ever seen, many of which have given us timeless music. You would have been outside when records such as “I’m So Hood,” “Brown Paper Bag,” etc. Once Khaled’s name and catalog have been a part of heavy rotation, you will have first hand experience of the weight that it holds. It is with great pleasure that DJ Khaled announces the release of his 13th studio album, God Did.
In social media comments, many have pointed out that Khaled assembled the Avengers for this effort. This should come as no surprise since he’s known for assembling the top talent. A recent interview with Billboard revealed that Jay-Z chose the album cover and labelled God Did Khaled’s best work. Since I am one of the biggest JAY-Z fans around, I actually let him choose the cover for my album. Khaled says he usually sees which cover he’ll pick when I give him an option, and it’s happened again this time,” he explained. “As soon as I finished playing the album, he came up to me and said, ‘Yo, this is your best album.’ JAY-Z, I love you, and you know that.”
As one of this year’s most important releases, this album will not be missed. It has also contributed to further cementing DJ Khaled’s legacy.

Currently, no date has been confirmed for the release. According to YG, it is simply the development of his personal headspace, the stage he is in in life, and what he is going through. The whole COVID pandemic thing was terrible, but I also see it as having helped me get to where I am mentally today. Throughout our lives, we grow as humans, as people. Everything I do will contribute to my personal growth. My life is just going to be a musical expression of my truth at the moment.”
It is planned that Internet Money will release their forthcoming We All We Got EP on Friday, August 19. As part of the collective’s first preview last month, they released “She Want Some More”. Their swift return to the music scene yesterday (Aug. 9) brought yet another taste of their music, this time featuring Lucki on “2K In The Soda“. In the song, Lucki describes the lifestyle of a rockstar in smooth rhymes:
Zane Lowe also interviewed Taz Taylor from Internet Money recently on Apple Music 1, where he explained how the collaboration came to be. “We were just having a great time in the studio,” Taylor said. “Lucki is a very personable individual who portrays the same persona via social media as he does in person. It’s no secret that I’m a Lucki fan. The fact that I got Freeway 3 wasn’t a surprise to me. There were a few things I wanted him to do that I knew pretty well. At the moment, I can work with anyone with the freedom that comes with my current position. But it’s rare to meet someone who is honest and themselves.”
The I.M collective released their debut album, B4 The Storm, last year, in which virtually all of your favorite artists contributed, including Lil Keed, Kevin Gates, Young Nudy, Trippie Redd, Future, Swae Lee, NAV, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Juice WRLD, Wiz Khalifa, and more.
