The “Sticky” video shows how Drake lives

We were all surprised back in June when Drake released his seventh studio album Honestly, Nevermind, a work that saw him depart from his hip hop roots in favor of an electronic sound. The Canadian icon revealed a new visual for the soaring single “Sticky,” a Gordo and RY X production. The song features raps about Drake’s high-end lifestyle and everything that goes along with it:

Drake’s accompanying video “Sticky,” directed by Theo Skudra, showcases his typical day in keeping with the topic of the song. The lifestyle of the OVO boss is far from what is normal for us, with footage revealing him performing in front of crowds, flying in private jets, driving a hand-crafted Maybach, and much more. There will be plenty of cameo appearances by Drake’s hip-hop peers throughout the album.

It is also worth mentioning that Nevermind follows the 21-track Certified Lover Boy, which featured contributions from Lil Durk, Lil Baby, JAY-Z, Future, Travis Scott, Young Thug, 21 Savage, Lil Wayne, Ty Dolla $ign, and more. A staggering 613,000 album equivalent units were sold during its first week on the market, propelling the album to the top of the Billboard 200.

Lil Durk and Southside team up for “Save Me”

Lil Durk and Southside team up for “Save Me”

Featuring Lil Durk, Southside joins forces with 808 Mafia for “Save Me,” which embodies the heavy, street-oriented sounds that make the collective one of hip-hop’s most prolific producers. This song follows April’s “Hold That Heat,” a collaboration with Future and Travis Scott that featured all three parties boasting about their rock star lifestyles:

There is no doubt that you are familiar with Southside’s hits even if you are unfamiliar with the artist. As far as work produced under his own name is concerned, the Atlanta beatsmith has released songs such as “Been Thru This Before” featuring Saint Jhn and Giggs, “Hmmm” alongside Valee and Lil Yachty, “Blue Jean Bandit” featuring Moneybagg Yo, Young Thug, TM88, and Future and “Order” by Gunna and TM88. Along with his own work, Southside has also been responsible for classics (past and present) including Polo G “Young N Dumb,” Doe Boy “BIG OH REALLY,” Roddy Ricch “thailand,” Gunna “poochie gown,” Babyface Ray “6 Mile Show,” EST Gee “Riata Dada,” G Herbo “Locked In,” and Lil Durk “AHHH HA.”

A few of Southside’s biggest career achievements were discussed during a past interview with Complex:

The experience of watching my little brothers and sisters sing stuff I made, like beats I made or songs I composed. Once my mom sent me a text saying, “Yeah, you made that beat.” I felt like I had achieved something. There is no amount of money that can replace that feeling.”

Future has been recruited for Megan Thee Stallion’s “Pressurelicious” recording

Two years have passed since Megan Thee Stallion released her debut studio album Good News, which featured 17 songs and features by City Girls, DaBaby, Lil Durk, Popcaan, SZA, Big Sean, Beyoncé, 2 Chainz, and Young Thug. After 100,000 first-week album equivalents were sold, Good News peaked at number two on the Billboard 200 – Meg also achieved Platinum status for the album.

There has been an influx of releases from the Houston talent since then, including the mixtape Something For The Hotties, as well as loose cuts such as “Sweetest Pie” and “Plan B.” Other songs she has appeared on include Ariana Grande “34+35 (Remix),” Lil Nas X “DOLLA SIGN SLIME,” Juicy J “SHE GON POP IT,” Maroon 5 “Beautiful Mistakes,” Lil Baby “On Me (Remix),” Bankroll Freddie “Pop It,” DJ Khaled “I DID IT,” DJ Snake “SG,” and Shenseea “Lick.”

A new single from Megan Thee Stallion, “Pressurelicious,” has arrived (July 21), featuring Future and the kind of confident, adult-themed topic matter that these two are known for (“I am stomping on hoes so hard, I’m knocking them out like Mario tokens”). The track is expected to dominate both the radio airwaves and club dance floors as with previous releases.

The VR music tour “Enter Thee Hottieverse,” created in collaboration with AmazeVR, has been in theaters for several months. Quest 2 headsets were used for the virtual event, which allowed attendees to watch Megan perform in real time. Additionally, they had the opportunity to enjoy Megan’s music videos and interact with other local fans. If you are interested in participating in the futuristic event in your area, you can find upcoming dates here.

“Saddle Up” is the new single from Millie Go Lightly.

“Saddle Up” is the new single from Millie Go Lightly.

In the wake of her new single, Millie Go Lightly unveiled her latest offering “Saddle Up,” a collaboration with Will Keating and Acoustic Trap Morgan O’Connor. While taking a step away from hip hop, Millie’s latest release demonstrates her incredible range and versatility as an artist while bending genres. “Saddle Up” marks the beginning of The Good, The Bad, And The Beautiful, a new album by Millie Go Lightly. Aside from that, the upcoming body of work will be based on the artist’s experiences in Nashville.

She got lightened up in the past few years by aligning herself with Young Thug’s Young Stoner Life collective and the Atlanta music scene. There are several songs she has contributed to during that time, including SG Tip, Real Recognize Rio and Lil Harold “Down Bad” Lil GotIt “Take Care,” Thugger “Family Don’t Matter,” and Landstrip Chip “Wraith.” Also, she has released some killer songs of her own Lil Keed, “Make You Better” and “Jealousy” featuring Rylo Rodriguez alongside Unfoonk, and “Ocean Deep” are only a few examples.

According to Millie Go Lightly’s past interview with The Hundreds, Young Thug inspired her to do what she did:

When I was working in London with a producer who was working with Frank Ocean, I was working with this producer. When I was a kid, I bought beats off the internet and wrote to them when I was at home. It was therefore my pleasure to send these to everyone, including London On Da Track, who at the time was on tour with Thug. The email was sent to him, then Thug heard it. The ‘HI-HORSE Tour’ was taking place at the show. My first meeting with him was upon arrival and I began working with the same people as before.

In honor of Black Music Month, Usher delivers an amazing “Tiny Desk” concert

Following a few weeks of teasing, NPR Music today (June 30) premiered its latest episode of their critically acclaimed “Tiny Desk” series, featuring Usher’s performance. As well as a top-of-the-line backing band, Vedo and Eric Bellinger provided background vocals for the R&B legend. The clip lasted approximately 25 minutes and featured Usher’s renditions of classic tracks such as ,” “Confessions Part II,” “Superstar,” “U Don’t Have To Call,” “You Make Me Wanna…,” “Nice & Slowand “My Way.”

His appearance on “Tiny Desk” follows his co-headlining responsibilities at this year’s Something In The Water festival, making him one of the festival’s biggest highlights. As Usher left the stage, he honored Pharrell Williams, who joined the party and helped create the festival.

Usher has not released a new album in six years; Hard II Love is a 15-track collection that features contributions from Priyanka Chopra, Young Thug, Future, and Rubén Blades. A total of 38,000 album equivalent units were sold in the first week to make the album Usher’s eighth top ten album on the Billboard 200. In his opinion, he is already working on the sequel to 2004’s Confessions, which he has been teasing since 2019. A part of Usher’s rousing performance for Cricket Wireless included the release of “Confessions Part III” , a song that, as his collaborator Jermaine Dupri explained on Twitter, turns the material of its predecessor on its head:

A female’s perspective is presented in “CONFESSIONS PART 3”. This song tells the story of a girl who cheats on him and gets pregnant with another man’s baby. This leaves her with the choice of keeping it or aborting it. Having learned this, should he stay or should he leave?”
