“22 Carats” single by Headie One feat. Gazo

Earlier today (May 19), Headie One collaborated with French rapper Gazo to release a new song called, “22 Carats.” The music video was directed by Screetch with the video produced by French producer Leo Eynard. Viewers are taken on a wild ride by the duo as they fuse their styles together through the dark city aesthetic:

The most recent Headie One production, Too Loyal for My Own Good, was released last October. The album contained 13 tracks and zero features. Before that, he released his official debut album Edna, which featured collaborations with Skepta, Drake, M Huncho, Young T & Bugsey, Stormzy, AJ Tracey, Future, Mahalia, Aitch, and more. There would be a deluxe edition of Edna available a few months later, which featured exclusive collaborations with RV, Burna Boy, Rich The Kid, and NorthSideBenji. In sum, Edna is his biggest hit to date, having reached the top spot on the UK Albums chart and earning silver certification.

As far as Gazo’s debut mixtape, Drill FR, was concerned, he released it in February 2021, going on to top the French album charts. The La Cour des Grands collaboration project has been dropped due to my partnership with Kim and Kalash this year.

‘FACE’ deluxe album released by Babyface Ray

‘FACE’ deluxe album released by Babyface Ray

In the midst of the summer, just when you thought Babyface Ray was about to chill after his debut album FACE was released in January 2022, he rotates the block just in time for the summer to kick in. There has been a steady increase in Michigan’s rap scene in recent years. Among the artists who have played an activetal role in this ascent, Ray is without a doubt among the most talented. He is on par with Rio Da Yung OG, Icewear Vezzo, Peezy, RMC Mike, YN Jay, etc. When all is said and done, Interscope certainly has one of the biggest stars of all time in Babyface Ray. At the rate he is progressing, he will be one of the finest artists to ever come out of Detroit. The deluxe edition of the debut album FACE was released today (May 20).

The original FACE was a hit on the streets upon its release, but the deluxe version brings more substance and does it justice. Although a number of people are hearing of Ray’s name for the first time after his debut album Unfuckwithable, the 31-year-old rapper has been pounding the pavement for a decade now based on the way he looks, but he’s been doing it for a decade now. Ray has gone from having little recognition on the national rap scene to becoming one of the most frequently referenced hip-hop artists in the Detroit community. His music has taken the scene by storm and is contributing to the growth of the Detroit hip-hop scene.

The singer, who spoke with Billboard earlier this year, offered some insight into how he envisions his career going forward: “I can’t really pinpoint what I am looking for.” Ultimately, I think it all comes down to keeping reaching and moving forward. Health and wealth for my family are top priorities for me, I also want financial stability, you see, I want what everybody else wants. The only thing I can pin down, like a certain shit, that I just want to keep going until there is no more of me.”

Rayven Justice releases new single “Daddy” produced by Traxamillion

Rayven Justice releases new single “Daddy” produced by Traxamillion

Rayven Justice raised his game even higher with the release of his EP titled Many Moons a few months back; the EP is composed of eight tracks with a wide range of musical influences and features guests like Sage the Gemini and K-Major. With a new track out this week, Oakland singer-songwriter daft has returned with his follow-up, “Daddy”. The new record, featuring Traxamillion production, finds Rayven chasing down a certain someone who has come his way:

The EP he released last year, entitled Late Nights Early Mornings, included some narrated thoughts by Rayven Justice. Bizzy Crook, Drenesse, and Trinidad James were included on the eight-track project. As Rayven dropped off R&Bay Volumes 1 and 2 in May and September of that year, he had a busy year overall for that year. Both compilations benefited from the assistance of Yhung T.O, Lil B, Ally Cocaine, Young Bari, Rico Tha Kidd, and plenty more.

While doing this, he also collaborated with a number of peers on songs, such as “Mob Ties” featuring “From This Point On” by Drenesse, “Where You At?” with Baeza and Selo, ALLBLACK anBully Wiz, and “Just Right” with Bryson Tiller. Additionally, he proudly repped Oakland when he was cast in E-40 and Too $hort and Ain’t Gone Do It/Terms and Conditions project.

With another tune that’s perfect for summer parties, King Combs is back with another pop smash. A collaborative effort between DreamDoll and Lil Mama entitled “Gas You Up,” which features some adult-oriented discussion over Lil Mama’s “Lip Gloss” remix, is described as follows:

King Combs follows up “Lip Gloss” with a wealth of loose singles, including “Cartis,” “Holdin Me Down,” and “Legacy” with Future. Additionally, he has contributed bars to songs such as Pop Smoke “Diana,” Quincy “Options,” Fivio Foreign “Freak,” Tank God “Bentley Trucks,” Derek King “Dead Roses (Remix),” Teyana Taylor “How You Want It?” and Bino Rideaux “No Makeup.”

As of 2019, King Combs released his last album, Cyncerely, C3. The album featured guest appearances from artists such as AzChike, Jeremih, City Girls, Smooky MarGielaa, 1TakeJay, Tee Grizzley, and Ty Dolla $ign. With the influx of new music, perhaps a follow-up is close at hand.

As part of Rocsi Diaz’s Triller Fight Club segment, the 90’s Baby comedian named his favorite boxers:

My number one pick is Muhammad Ali, followed by Floyd Mayweather. They go crazy, Muhammad and Floyd, those are the two I’ve got. Mike Tyson is undoubtedly the most famous… oh, and Tank too! Tank is rising right now.

Roddy Ricch and Post Malone have “Cooped Up” in their latest single

There will soon be a chance for fans to hear Post Malone’s twelve-track studio album Twelve Carat Toothache, which preceded the release of “Motley Crew” as well as the Weeknd-assisted track “One Right Now.” Today, he comes through with “Cooped Up,” a Louis Bell-produced track featuring Roddy Ricch. The pair look ready to go wild after spending the past couple of years indoors:

With the release of Twelve Carat Toothache, it will follow 2019’s Hollywood’s Bleeding. Thisfeatured 17 songs and included features from Halsey, DaBaby, Swae Lee, Future, Ozzy Osbourne, Meek Mill, Lil Baby, SZA, Travis Scott, and Young Thug. Hollywood’s Bleeding, like many of Post Malone’s previous releases, gained critical and commercial approval, resulting in an album equivalent sales of 489,000 units in its first week. This made it the artist’s second number one release on the Billboard 200 chart. Added to that, the project has earned a triple Platinum certification in the U.S. and in a number of countries internationally.

A few days later, Malone spoke about Twelve Carat Toothache in an on-the-street interview with Adam Glyn:

“I think this is my favorite work that I have produced, it has been quite some time since I have released music, and things to look forward to in the future is another Post Malone album (laugh).”
