Kaboom, Reed Dollaz, Eness and Eazy Da Block Captain have shown their unique styles can with stand any legend or up and coming battle rapper. Kaboom has yet to fail when it comes to delivering a show. With Kabooms freestyle ability he is easily the most comfortable in the room under pressure. He can keep it calm and allow you to listen to the word play or turn up on you with the hype after a tote from the vape pin. Either way Kaboom is a sure top 5 from the city of Philadelphia and makes my Big 4 list. his skillful rebuttals tend to leave you laughing at his opponent. Already having experience with battling big names and vets he will walk any rookie with a easy 3-0.

Reed Dollaz, with a monumental battle against Murda Mook on the horizon I feel Reed is highly motivated and ready to reclaim his title at the top. Reed has always had the full package and as much as we say we are over the gun lines, he finds new ways to keep us in tune with what’s next. Plus you always need someone on the team with anger issues to keep the intimidation factor on deck. take battle rap to another level as he did before and I think he has the people around him to help do so.

Eness, undeniably one of the best to ever touch a mic from the city a a pioneer in the Philadelphia music scene. With a recent spur of wins Eness is on a hot streak that I don’t see him falling off of anytime soon. Always being in touch with the people Ness finds a way to put together verses so relatable you feel like you said it yourself. Staying on top of what the young generation is inclined to like, as he holds his true to essence of lyricism if Eness wants to win he is unstoppable.

And last but not least Eazy Da Block Captain, the new beast looking to take home the rookie of the year crown. Already tearing down the best of the best in the game his pure tenacity and delivery alone can silence an opponent and make you forget your at a battle. Eazy has mixed love with in the battle world but that comes with the pure energy he brings that forces you to choose sides right away. The fans love him and would be a great starter along side these other top tier battle rappers.

A three-year probationary term is also imposed on Lee Mouat

A three-year probationary term is also imposed on Lee Mouat

A three-year probationary term is also imposed on Lee Mouat.

It has been announced that Lee James Mouat was sentenced to prison for attacking a Black teen. Earlier this week (July 8), a U.S. According to a District Court judge, the white 43-year-old defendant will serve five years in prison and three years of probation.

Last June, Lee Mouat observed Devin Freelon and some friends at Sterling State Park in Detroit playing loud music and confronted them about the volume. Racial slurs were thrown, for example, “Black lives don’t matter” and “Ni**ers don’t belong on this beach,” then he left the premises, later returning with a bike lock to attack Freelon.

In the course of the attack, he knocked out three of the teenager’s teeth before hitting one of his friends. The young man also suffered a broken jaw and injuries to his face and mouth in addition to his missing teeth. Several dental procedures were carried out in the local hospital following his treatment of cuts.

The difficulty of seeing your son every day without teeth, especially when he is only 19 years old, Devin Freelon Sr. previously told NBC affiliate WDIV-TV. It’s something that no one should experience.

Lee Mouat admitted to being motivated by race when he committed an act of bodily harm against a victim in March and pleaded guilty to willful causing bodily injury. According to the plea deal terms, the 43-year-old was initially facing up to ten years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000. As a result of his sentencing announcement, he learned that he would serve half of his time in prison.

Deputy U.S. Attorney Saima Mohsin called Lee Mouat’s behavior “disturbing” for his cowardly and unprovoked attack on the victim. The right of every citizen to live without fear of violence or attack based solely upon his or her skin color must be taken seriously.”

SZA releases an exclusive NFT partnership via American Express

SZA releases an exclusive NFT partnership via American Express

You can now purchase NFTs of her epic “UNSTAGED” show from mid-June.

SZA has partnered with American Express to issue a set of exclusive non-fungible tokens (NFTs). She received the NFTs for her “UNSTAGED” performance at Amex and for the release of her debut studio album Ctrl four years ago.

There are now NFTs available from her epic virtual “UNSTAGED” show from June. With this exclusive collection, SZA’s first fans will be able to see behind-the-scenes photos and highlights of her live performance they were not able to see during the live stream. The Grammy-nominated artist performed most of her Grammy-nominated album Ctrl onstage, but only the best moments were made digital, such as Kiss Me More, All The Stars, Hit Different, Pretty Little Birds, “20 Something,” and “Good Days.” SZA’s virtual concert was her first complete set in two years.

Currently, if you’re an Amex cardholder, NFTs are available from the NFT marketplace Fanaply. A $100 piece is included in each delivery, which arrived this past Friday (July 9) for those who attended the “UNSTAGED” event. Additional episodes will be released on July 12 on the show’s website.

During an interview with Complex before her UNSTAGED show, SZA described how it felt like returning to the stage and performing again for her fans. I can’t wait to get back there again, feel the excitement in their voices, and engage them again. My world is weird when I sing songs I haven’t heard in a billion years because I don’t listen to my own music much,” she said. “I only listened to my album on the third anniversary last year. This year I didn’t do so. It feels strange. I’m unfamiliar with it, but familiarizing myself with it.”

Performing songs she created four years ago is also “emotional” for the New Jersey native. “I never imagined that the album would be this powerful – or as powerful – as it was,” she said. “I’m learning every day what this means to other people. I usually feel astonished and more confused than anything else. I can’t believe it’s taken me up to this point, and it’s still not something that I feel ashamed of. This is something that I am especially grateful for because it’s not something that happens that often.”

Dell-P Drops “We Owe The World” Another Classic Album

Dell-P Drops “We Owe The World” Another Classic Album

Verdell Smith better known as Dell-P, recently hosted a listening party for his latest release “We Owe The World”. 17 undeniable records that are playable at anytime of the day and of course for any age group. Due to his top tier vocabulary Dell-P is able to refrain from using profanity and still deliver the pain and feeling. Most underground artist struggle to project their message and reach the masses due algorithms and music bans outside of the country. As American artist we often are not in tune with the rules and regulations other countries apply to music where the true emcee Dell-P has no fault. The humbled spitta’ has not only continued to deliver new stories, instill more morals and paint more pictures, he was able to collaborate with some like minded souls to deliver classics.

“Here For It” featuring Wil Guice has the award winning sound Philadelphia is known for. Incorporating the soul and Hip-hop with a message to uplift, you can’t be more Brotherly Love than that. Then following with a vibe that takes me back to Wu-Tang, Mos Def, Talib Kweli vibes with “Get Busy on Em” featuring Teef. The simple but catchy instrumental that puts you on a New York Subway, then the bars that blend that make you feel like you got off on some hundred and Lennox ave. Dell-P hands down has Hip-hop mastered and if the fore fathers were looking to pass the torch bring it back to Philly.

“Karma” one of my favorite records on the project for sure. The story telling ability he has is unflawed and has me anticipating the visual production. I see this being one of the stand out records that really capture the mind, ears and hearts of the people. With features from Trazsh Man, Wil Guice, Teef, Tracey Lee, MC Knowledge, Jay Reezy, Zone Boy Mir, 4evertaylormade and Wise intelligent made for a great collective of outstanding music.
