A new album from DJ Khaled includes a song called ‘God Did’

In the music industry, DJ Khaled is considered to be one of the greatest ever and at this point, this cannot be denied. Listen…The Album, the debut album by the Miami-bred music mogul, appeared in 2006, and the Miami-bred artist has been producing hits almost every year since then. It has been his one and only role to curate some of the hottest collaborations we’ve ever seen, many of which have given us timeless music. You would have been outside when records such as “I’m So Hood,” “Brown Paper Bag,” etc. Once Khaled’s name and catalog have been a part of heavy rotation, you will have first hand experience of the weight that it holds. It is with great pleasure that DJ Khaled announces the release of his 13th studio album, God Did.

In social media comments, many have pointed out that Khaled assembled the Avengers for this effort. This should come as no surprise since he’s known for assembling the top talent. A recent interview with Billboard revealed that Jay-Z chose the album cover and labelled God Did Khaled’s best work. Since I am one of the biggest JAY-Z fans around, I actually let him choose the cover for my album. Khaled says he usually sees which cover he’ll pick when I give him an option, and it’s happened again this time,” he explained. “As soon as I finished playing the album, he came up to me and said, ‘Yo, this is your best album.’ JAY-Z, I love you, and you know that.”

As one of this year’s most important releases, this album will not be missed. It has also contributed to further cementing DJ Khaled’s legacy.

“Here We Go” video released by Lou Phelps

“Here We Go” video released by Lou Phelps

In early February, Montreal-born artist Lou Phelps released Touché EP, a collection of three songs showcasing his nimble rhyme style over electro-rap beats. As for the two previous tracks, the outro was produced by Lou Phelps himself, while the outro was assisted by his brother, Kaytranada. A music video for the EP’s title track also was released along with the EP.

Yesterday (August 16), Phelps released the official video to “Here We Go,” the first recording he has released on his own. This new video from Phelps is directed by Igal Perets, and it creates an intense environment as its focus is solely on him in a dark room as the lyrics play:

As we have previously mentioned, Phelps previously teamed up with Joyce Wrice and Oakland spitter Guapdad 4000 on the groovy collaboration track, “Oh Really? ” Together with the production of Agajon and additional production by Kiefer, the song was given an upbeat anthem vibe. “Oh Really?” is Lou Phelps’ first release since the mid-2021 singles “SOUND OF MONEY” and “Supersexe Freestyle.”

G Perico releases ‘111th East’ EP

G Perico releases ‘111th East’ EP

In the past week, G Perico dropped his latest project, 111th East. The album contains six dope tracks for fans to enjoy. In advance of releasing the project, South Central star Perico released a visual for “Confessions,” a TRUNX-produced track that explores Perico’s past misdeeds:

Additionally, G Perico has released a clip from 111th East for Mike D Exclusive and TRUNX-produced “Legitimate”. I was reminded of K.P & Envyi’s 1998 hit “Swing My Way” when I listened to this song. It’s reminiscent of the 1998 hit which J Cole & Bryson Tiller sampled during their respective tracks “Deja Vu” and “Exchange,” and respectively.”Legitimate” also depicts Perico’s days as a struggling entrepreneur:

The six-song 111th East follows Tango, the eight-song joint effort with Gotdamnitdupri that dropped in February. With previous releases in 2021, such as Free, G Perico kept his fans well fed No Love In LA, Lover Boy Slim, Welcome To The Land, LA Summers, and Play 2 Win.
