Current Mood:

Actually pleased, corporate/Gansta mood, Get Rich or Die Trying type vibe, and hyper-focused on my new weight loss lifestyle.

It’s my last night at the “W” Hotel on South Beach, and it’s bittersweet at the highest level! I love the Miami weather, food, tropical weather, and most of all, beaches! I think this is where God created the original Garden of Eden. LOL!

Until God calls for me, I’m keep ballin’, keep on ballin’
To my niggas and my bitches looking down on me
I know y’all see me when I’m ballin’
You know I got to keep ballin’
Till the FEDs come we ballin’ out
Y’all niggas y’all know what this about when I’m ballin’
That stash house, we in and out
We ballin’, ballin’, ballin’, we shot callin’

These are the opening lyrics to the song “BALLIN” by G-Unit, and this verse represents some of the mental fabric of the hit original tv series “POWER.” I’m sitting on the couch staring at still images of Omari Hardwick, a.k.a. GHOST, and his “eyes” illuminate my suite. His voice reverberates throughout the suite echoing power, sex, control, calculated betrayal, and triumph.

Omari Hardwick follows God’s Plan for his life, and that’s why his character is so polarizing, mesmerizing, addictive, and inspirational for the general public. I’m watching episode “1” of the season “1”, 50 Cent, and Courtney Kemp Agboh created a multi-layered viewing experience that engages everyone from the modest to the hardcore gangsters in our society. Every move GHOST makes is ultra-calculated and intended to further cement his position of power.

It’s opening night at his nightclub “TRUTH,” it’s packed full of people, and his right-hand man Tommy approaches him to provide street justice on someone. This moment’s beauty is these vital points and creates the matchless aura of GHOST and his ability to blend, recreate, and dominate each scene.

  1. He accesses the damage, current problem and ascertains the end result
  2. He kills the guy who stole from their organization, cleans himself up, jumps back into the elevator, embraces the packed house of partygoers, and returns to James St. Patrick.

GHOST’s genius is that the general audience has no idea what he’s thinking, feeling, or most of all, his next move. GHOST succeeds where most “bad guys” fail in the area of “limitations.” GHOST understands where his power begins and ends in every situation and creates mistake-proof exit strategies to ensure complete exoneration. The emotional intelligence of GHOST provides a chilling and deep introspective into the mind of a “divided soul.” The character of GHOST provides the STARZ network with a lethal competitive advantage over any other show in its lane. GHOST’s natural skillset is immeasurable and allows him to become all things to everyone within his radius.

GHOST manages the perfect balance between commitment and infidelity with Tasha (His Wife) and Angela (His love from High School & Lead attorney on the Drug Task Force pursuing his organization). Naturally, a person’s heart is divided into many pieces, and they eventually identify the pieces that belong. GHOST is always moving parts around in his heart to make the right decision at the moment.

I’m taking my second shot of Black Cherry Effen Vodka, and I’m blaring “I’m The Man” Remix by 50 Cent & Chris Brown in my suite. I turn to Season 2 and watch the episode “Three Moves Ahead,” and my eyes are paralyzed on the scene where Tommy and Lobos enter the Carlton Hotel to conduct business, and the world knows that GHOST is in the hotel. As the moment collapses, Tommy, Lobos, and his partner are captured.

GHOST is not captured, and he re-appears in the adjoining hotel overlooking the chaos and watching Angela call him repeatedly (he switched his number). Again, the writers of POWER position GHOST ideally between anxiety and the unknown. GHOST symmetrically aligns all the personalities, weaknesses, strengths, and temptations of each person in his life. The mentality of GHOST represents the “lion-heart” of every man in America.

Possessing the mental propensity to protect, kill, and administer love towards people are psychotic, unflinching, and fearless characteristics most men desire to develop. The essence & character of GHOST depicts and reflects the culture of mankind in certain aspects. Even when I examine his fashion sense, it literally freezes my mind because he’s flawless in every moment, clean-shaven, and casket sharp. My father told me that the “walk” and “dress” of a man speaks volumes about his confidence, self-purpose, and respect amongst the people in the room.

Omari Hardwick plays the role of a lifetime, creating new boundaries, destroying over-evaluated stereotypes, and showing men of all ethnicities the blueprint in balancing the mind over “POWER.” The role of GHOST is shaking up Hollywood, and respect is something you can only run from for a certain period. POWER is one of the best original television programs, and the people are echoing this message louder each year.

Sometimes in life, your arrival of greatness is disruptive, unapologetic, and incomprehensible. Hollywood has a good problem with the show POWER, and they need to pick the brain of Courtney Kemp Agboh and create another original tv series that challenges consumers’ minds. Until that happens, “THE “THE SHADOW OF GHOST” will hover over Hollywood, and you can never outrun a shadow.

Nas Album “King’s Disease” Hip-Hop Album Of the Year

Nas Album “King’s Disease” Hip-Hop Album Of the Year

A win for Hip-Hop as the chosen one, “God’s Son”, Nasir Jones as he took home the Grammy for Album Of The Year with his 2020 release “King’s Disease”. The King of the Golden Era stands firm on his delivery of black excellence without hesitation. Understanding what it takes to make a classic album is one thing doing it is another. Already on record for having arguably the most influential album of all time in “Illmatic”, Nas captures the culture again with the same formula using different ingredients. The 5 pillars of Hip-Hop, Dance, Graffiti, Rap, the DJ who now is often replaced with the producer, and Education of the people.

While the Grammys have made an extra effort to address its lack of acknowlegment regarding rap and hip-hop music, it has rapidly pushed to correct itself. The genre has undergone massive changes since The Fresh Prince first led a hip-hop boycott of the 1989 ceremony to protest the Grammys not televising the new Best Rap Performance award. The Fresh Prince is now better known for his extensive filmography and the family first lifestyle he promotes more than his mic skills, it showed the world the versatility of our youth in entertainment.

Fast forward to 2020 a year of riots, protest, a push for reform on all levels across the world for equality and spiritual warfare we crown Hip-Hop. “King’s Disease” embodies the elements with soul and presents a an album that can be played by all walks of life. You don’t have to be a fan of Nas to gain from his art, in which he reaches the masses once again but with the gold coming home to Mass Appeal.

Beating out an almost flawless “A Written Testimony” by Jay Electronica that only lacked the radio friendly sound Nas captured, and a sonically unflawed “Alfredo” by Freddie Gibbs & The Alchemist “King’s Disease” is as Illmatic as it gets. Being able to play in any order and not skip a song on top of the legendary features what more could you ask for?

Nas had guest appearance from Charlie Wilson, Hit-Boy, Big Sean, Don Toliver, Lil Durk, Anderson Paak, Brucie B, Nas’s supergroup The Firm, Fivio Foreign, and ASAP Ferg. The album art by the talented artist Honeiee was full of royalty and excellence with a touch of God to honor the mindset of the project. congrats King!

We are proud of launching a global commitment that is designed to provide equity for women in audio and also celebrating their contribution, this global commitment is called EQUAL. EQUAL launched by Spotify would help pave way for women artists or women podcast creators. It could be locally, regionally, or internationally but it would be under a global partnership with new content experiences, with a new on and off-platform. The EQUAL Campaign comprises of:

  • Celebrating women all over the world using the launch of the EQUAL hub. The EAUL hub platform would be used to celebrate women creators, which would allow fans to also connect with them through their music and podcasts.
  • Supporting women through an invite-only EAUAL board, this board would be made up of 15 members only from around the world. The Spotify EQUAL board would work on ways on how to make the audio industry tangible for women creators.

It would be our great delight in celebrating the most too streamed music artist and podcast creators globally. With Taylor Swift taking the lead position of 2.3 billion streams, followed by Ariana Grande and then Dua Lipa, and the most popular podcast creators globally would go to Ashley Flowers and Brit Parawat.

Spotify EQUAL board would take their time in appreciating these powerful women in setting an example for all other women globally. To a lot of them, this movement would be considered a momentous time for them all. RADIOPUSHERS are reporting on this developing story.

Timberland and Swizz Beatz create history with Triller

Timberland and Swizz Beatz create history with Triller

The Triller parent company, Proxima Media, recently struck an agreement with Swizz Beatz’ and Timbaland for the takeover of Verzuz. The acquisition of Verzuz is another step on the path to overcoming their top competitor TikTok. Although Triller’s content is significantly different from Verzuz’s, Proxima Media’s acquisition will be beneficial for expanding the audience of both applications.

We do not have access to all the terms and conditions of the acquisition, but we are aware that a prerequisite for the deal was to make the two producers and founders of Verzuz major shareholders of Triller. As a part of the agreement, all previous competitors on both season one and two of Verzuz will be receiving a portion of the value of their shares in the new Triller-Verzuz company.

During the first lockdown, Timbaland & Swizz Beats decided to host a virtual DJ battle between two prominent artists or producers. This began on the 24th of March, 2020, as an Instagram live stream. Later on, Verzuz became a brand with an official logo, website, and social media accounts. The battles were no longer held on Instagram live but rather on Apple Music and Twitter. The combination of these platforms allowed viewers to watch the battle and simultaneously talk about it on Twitter.

In a statement released to Billboard magazine, Swizz Beats and Timbaland expressed their joy concerning the acquisition. They said it was a momentous occasion for bother Triller, Verzuz, and the entire music industry. They hope that by integrating Verzuz into Triller, both will continue to flourish and evolve over time.  RADIOPUSHERS and MUZIQUE Magazine are reporting on this developing story.
