It is planned that Internet Money will release their forthcoming We All We Got EP on Friday, August 19. As part of the collective’s first preview last month, they released “She Want Some More”. Their swift return to the music scene yesterday (Aug. 9) brought yet another taste of their music, this time featuring Lucki on “2K In The Soda“. In the song, Lucki describes the lifestyle of a rockstar in smooth rhymes:
Zane Lowe also interviewed Taz Taylor from Internet Money recently on Apple Music 1, where he explained how the collaboration came to be. “We were just having a great time in the studio,” Taylor said. “Lucki is a very personable individual who portrays the same persona via social media as he does in person. It’s no secret that I’m a Lucki fan. The fact that I got Freeway 3 wasn’t a surprise to me. There were a few things I wanted him to do that I knew pretty well. At the moment, I can work with anyone with the freedom that comes with my current position. But it’s rare to meet someone who is honest and themselves.”
The I.M collective released their debut album, B4 The Storm, last year, in which virtually all of your favorite artists contributed, including Lil Keed, Kevin Gates, Young Nudy, Trippie Redd, Future, Swae Lee, NAV, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Juice WRLD, Wiz Khalifa, and more.
The latest project from K Camp is called Vibe Forever, which was released over the weekend. Ne-Yo and Doe Boy make appearances across 12 songs in the brand-new collection. Preceding the album were singles like “Holy Spirit” and “Woozie.” and The latter track features K Camp gliding over some harmonious choir sounds produced by Harto Beats and Eric Billingsly:
A new era begins for K Camp with Vibe Forever, as he bids farewell to his label contract. “I officially become an independent artist with this album, and it is my last with a major label,” he wrote in the caption of his celebratory Instagram post. “It feels empowering to be free.”
The full-length FLOAT album was released last year by K Camp. As part of the project’s promotion, the Atlanta native teamed up with PnB Rock to recreate a classic R&B track, the “Life Has Changed” track, inspired by “Differences” by Ginuwine. The Atlanta artist followed up Kiss 5 with FLOAT, which featured the fan favorite “What’s On Your Mind.” It wasn’t long before Atlanta artist dropped the deluxe version, containing six new tracks and a guest appearance from Sevyn Streeter.
Featuring Lil Durk, Southside joins forces with 808 Mafia for “Save Me,” which embodies the heavy, street-oriented sounds that make the collective one of hip-hop’s most prolific producers. This song follows April’s “Hold That Heat,” a collaboration with Future and Travis Scott that featured all three parties boasting about their rock star lifestyles:
There is no doubt that you are familiar with Southside’s hits even if you are unfamiliar with the artist. As far as work produced under his own name is concerned, the Atlanta beatsmith has released songs such as “Been Thru This Before” featuring Saint Jhn and Giggs, “Hmmm” alongside Valee and Lil Yachty, “Blue Jean Bandit” featuring Moneybagg Yo, Young Thug, TM88, and Future and “Order” by Gunna and TM88. Along with his own work, Southside has also been responsible for classics (past and present) including Polo G “Young N Dumb,” Doe Boy “BIG OH REALLY,” Roddy Ricch “thailand,” Gunna “poochie gown,” Babyface Ray “6 Mile Show,” EST Gee “Riata Dada,” G Herbo “Locked In,” and Lil Durk “AHHH HA.”
A few of Southside’s biggest career achievements were discussed during a past interview with Complex:
The experience of watching my little brothers and sisters sing stuff I made, like beats I made or songs I composed. Once my mom sent me a text saying, “Yeah, you made that beat.” I felt like I had achieved something. There is no amount of money that can replace that feeling.”
In her new music video, that was released today (19 July), FKA Twigs shares her latest single, “Killer.” This visually stunning clip follows Twigs as she navigates treacherous territories of passion and intimacy. Through the screen, we see twigs enjoying the beach, alone in her room, and out with her lover, but her lyrics reveal her inner thoughts:
Taking a moment to share her feelings on “Killer”, FKA Twigs shared how it makes her feel. According to FKA Twigs, “Like the wildest plucked roses, I find myself more beautiful when I am delicately wilted, in shadow, lonely or forced, darkened around the edges and hungry to be cared for again. “A wonderful experience producing the ‘Killer’ video with an outstanding team.”
This past January, FKA Twigs released her debut project CAPRISONGS. This featured 17 songs and features from artists such as Pa Salieu, The Weeknd, Daniel Caesar, Shygirl, Rema, Unknown T, Jorja Smith, and more. In anticipation of the release of Joey Bada$$’s 2000 album on July 22, he has provided fans with a brief preview entitled “Zipcodes.” The accompanying video revolves around the track’s title by following Joey through different cities. The Waqas Ghani-directed visual embodies the lyrics by showing up by the Louvre Museum in Paris and shopping all over Europe:
There was a previously scheduled release for the album earlier this month, but it was postponed at the last minute as a result of a sample clearance issue. From the year 2000, fans were able to enjoy “Head High,” “Survivor’s Guilt,” and “Where I Belong,” which was dedicated to departed artists Junior B and Capital Steez.
Following the release of ALL-AMERIKKKAN BADA$$ in 2017, titled 2000, which featured a variety of artists, Chronixx, ScHoolboy Q, Nyck Caution, Meechy Darko, Kirk Knight, Styles P, and J. Cole. Five thousand album equivalent units were sold during its first week on the Billboard 200, making the project a top five success for Joey.
