New “High Notes” video from Griff Tyler

New “High Notes” video from Griff Tyler

Just last week, he released his newest collection, Played To The Left: A Love Story Continued. The album is the sequel to Play Your Cards Right: A Westside Love Story released in 2019. In the new release, Griff tells the story of what happens when roles are reversed or when a player takes on the role of the opponent. His intimate details are evident in his cover art, where he is pictured with the same automobile pictured in his 2020 release, but this time alone, only holding a guitar.

He continues to build momentum with the release of his official music video for “High Notes,” a highlight from the new album. It seems that Griff is spending the day with his love interest in the recently released clip, but things are not as they seem:

Griff Tyler surprised us back in April of 2021 with the release of While I Have Your Attention EP. In addition to this, he made sure to provide us with some new visuals to further attract our attention. After spending time in the boxing ring with his fans in “Show Off,” he welcomed us into his Forehead Kisses Resort & Spa in an exclusive “Forehead Kisses” video. Over the years, he has released loose cuts such as “No Resolution,” “Runnin Game,” and “Shoot,” in the meantime.

The visual offering from Griff Tyler is another stellar visual from his 2020 Play Your Cards Right project, which features his track “Wassup” with G Perico, widely considered to be one of his fan favorites from the project. Nine songs are featured in this collection, including “Guarded” and “Wild West,” and as well as contributions from Emimeezy. In addition to other visuals from the same project, he has also released the official video for “Cold Piece.”

“22 Carats” single by Headie One feat. Gazo

“22 Carats” single by Headie One feat. Gazo

Earlier today (May 19), Headie One collaborated with French rapper Gazo to release a new song called, “22 Carats.” The music video was directed by Screetch with the video produced by French producer Leo Eynard. Viewers are taken on a wild ride by the duo as they fuse their styles together through the dark city aesthetic:

The most recent Headie One production, Too Loyal for My Own Good, was released last October. The album contained 13 tracks and zero features. Before that, he released his official debut album Edna, which featured collaborations with Skepta, Drake, M Huncho, Young T & Bugsey, Stormzy, AJ Tracey, Future, Mahalia, Aitch, and more. There would be a deluxe edition of Edna available a few months later, which featured exclusive collaborations with RV, Burna Boy, Rich The Kid, and NorthSideBenji. In sum, Edna is his biggest hit to date, having reached the top spot on the UK Albums chart and earning silver certification.

As far as Gazo’s debut mixtape, Drill FR, was concerned, he released it in February 2021, going on to top the French album charts. The La Cour des Grands collaboration project has been dropped due to my partnership with Kim and Kalash this year.

Rayven Justice releases new single “Daddy” produced by Traxamillion

Rayven Justice releases new single “Daddy” produced by Traxamillion

Rayven Justice raised his game even higher with the release of his EP titled Many Moons a few months back; the EP is composed of eight tracks with a wide range of musical influences and features guests like Sage the Gemini and K-Major. With a new track out this week, Oakland singer-songwriter daft has returned with his follow-up, “Daddy”. The new record, featuring Traxamillion production, finds Rayven chasing down a certain someone who has come his way:

The EP he released last year, entitled Late Nights Early Mornings, included some narrated thoughts by Rayven Justice. Bizzy Crook, Drenesse, and Trinidad James were included on the eight-track project. As Rayven dropped off R&Bay Volumes 1 and 2 in May and September of that year, he had a busy year overall for that year. Both compilations benefited from the assistance of Yhung T.O, Lil B, Ally Cocaine, Young Bari, Rico Tha Kidd, and plenty more.

While doing this, he also collaborated with a number of peers on songs, such as “Mob Ties” featuring “From This Point On” by Drenesse, “Where You At?” with Baeza and Selo, ALLBLACK anBully Wiz, and “Just Right” with Bryson Tiller. Additionally, he proudly repped Oakland when he was cast in E-40 and Too $hort and Ain’t Gone Do It/Terms and Conditions project.

“N95” music video by Kendrick Lamar has nothing to do with the mask

“N95” music video by Kendrick Lamar has nothing to do with the mask

The music video for “N95” by Kendrick Lamar is now available. This marks the first time a track from his latest album Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers has been transformed into a visual.

The “N95” video was live on YouTube Saturday afternoon (May 14). Director Kendrick and his partner Dave Free managed production. As the production company for the eccentric video, they cite their multi-faceted agency pgLang.

This video contains several references to religion, among them crosses that hang on the walls of one room, Kendrick hovering above water with his arms outstretched like Jesus on the cross, and K Dot’s godly flow throughout the video. A cameo appearance by Baby Keem also appears in the mainly black-and-white project.

There are also a few times in the video when the phrase, “THIS HAUNTED HARD” flashes across the screen, but the reminder is unnecessary. There is a lot going on with this visual, which hopefully Kendrick will explain in the future.

A teaser for the video was posted on Free’s Twitter account Friday (May 13). Accra, Ghana, was also tagged in the video, perhaps indicating the location of the shooting.

Kendrick released the audio and visual version of the fifth installment of “The Heart” series earlier this week. The internet almost froze up the moment the media dropped it. It was his dynamic wordplay and strong cadences that made the visual’s deep fakes, which appeared with certain bars, a valuable contribution.

The actor transforms himself into Kanye West, Will Smith, OJ Simpson, Jussie Smollett, as well as former NBA player Nipsey Hussle and Kobe Bryant. Certainly one of the most creative ways to create a visual and he certainly hit the nail on the head with his approach.

A concert tour called “The Big Steppers Tour” will mark the start of K Dot’s touring career in July. This year, Kendrick’s world tour will take him around the world, and it will end in New Zealand in December. Baba Keem is scheduled to perform as the supporting act on all dates, while Tanna Leone will join the crew on select dates.

MoneyMarr presents new video for “Tip Toe”

In his last project, Millionaire Mindset, MoneyMarr had 14 hard-hitting tracks and Rah Swish provided the assist. Having dropped a couple of loose EPs and notable feature appearances lately, it was no surprise to notice the D.C. artist dropped a new song called “Tip Toe” that features some of MoneyMarr’s signature street rhymes:

MoneyMarr also returns with a visual courtesy of Marko Steez, which captures the artist’s hard-hitting lines in full motion. In addition to seeing him in a house with a beautiful woman, masked up in a vehicle with a couple of cohorts, and more, viewers have the opportunity to observe him.

Aside from Millionaire Mindset and Exotic Habits, MoneyMarr also blessed fans with Exotic Habits and Millionaire Mindset, another well-received artwork with a collaboration among fellow artists Xanman, Black Fortune, Taedoe Jugg, Lil Skii, and Baby Fifty. With series like Draco Vibes and Youngest Trappest, MoneyMarr has established himself as one of the most promising artists.

During his recent interview with On The Radar Radio, MoneyMarr expressed his feelings about the overall music scene in the Washington area as follows:

“I feel like we have a scene developing. I support the scene that we have going on, as well as everyone else who’s going strong. Hats off to them. We’re rising right now, we’re doing our little things, and I think we should get noticed a little more. But I think it’s only a matter of time.”
